Our team spent almost an hour in the steel path circuit and got all the way to level 10. Three of us in the mission decided to leave but the host selected to stay. Instead of taking us out of the mission it glitched on the host migration screen and threw each of us into separate versions of the jackal assassination mission as well as removed all of our decrees so we couldn’t possibly beat the fight. So essentially it forced us to quit and lose all of our hour of progress on the circuit. Not fun to lose and hour of work no fault of our own.
(I know it didn’t only happen to me because the other guys in my party messaged me after asking if it happened to me too so this is not just an Xbox thing it seems)
