  1. Nekros is my most used frame. I've only been asked to desecrate once.

I was happy to do so as we were getting to high levels in a defense mission and the extra energy orbs were useful.

    But he's far from a one-trick pony.

Shadows is fantastic for defense. He makes it easy to do defense solo.

And assuming I have the energy for it, it pretty much guarantees that the enemy will not get to the cryopod that wave.

It's not overly useful in a lot of other situations as it is slow to cast and doesn't kill enemies particularly quickly.

Terrify is great for when you want to revive team-mates or just get some breathing room.

But I do think both terrify and shadows could use a minor buffing, just to make them more appealing over desecrate.

I'll keep using him anyway. He looks amazing.

  2. I use castanas with high corrosive damage.

I have lots of multi shot, so each throw actually tosses 2-3 castanas. The electricity damage can jump to nearby enemies and they seem to deal heavy damage while also stunning decent groups of enemies.

Just one tossed castana will kill most mooks, while a couple (actually 4-6 individual castanas) will fry ancients.

I find them to be very fun.

Though they are now responsible for 50% of my deaths. I need to be more careful. I can easily one-shot myself if one hits the railing in front of me.

The funniest was when I stuck one to the face of my returning kubrow and detonated it when he came close, wiping myself out.

  3. I think the Kronen look absolutely fantastic. As soon as I saw another player with them I snapped them up. I've used them extensively over the last few days and their visual positioning has not bothered me once.

And to think I heard they were tonfas and was completely uninterested. I pictured blunt sticks. Not these awesome protruding blades that make your oberon look like demon-spawn.

  4. 2) Movement needs to be rethought reworked retouched remastered re-whatever, movement currently sucks.

Too much hassle to do anything interesting and most of the time its extremely unresponsive.

How many time have you pressed jump and ended up sliding off a cliff? or stuck in a rail? or just did a vault instead?

This, so much. Not only for stealth purposes. The number of times I've ended up somewhere I didn't intend to be is pretty ridiculous.

  5. I like the idea of everything really going to hell if you get seen and they raise the alarms most of all.

You watch your buddy stabbing a lancer in the back, but spy his watchful buddy shouting and rushing for a panel. He's a long way away and you can't use your soma as it's too loud. What do you do? Are you good with a bow? Can you sprint fast enough to intercept him with melee? Grab him with a ripline?

Everything TisEric just posted is relevant too.

Honestly, dread as it currently functions serves the purpose of silently killing enemies from any range while also disposing of the evidence somewhere in the next solar system. Hah.

What else would kill stealth gameplay?

  6. Stealth is fantastic fun for those that enjoy it. I regularly attempt solo missions with a non-invis frame as I find it great fun to actually attempt to do more than just sprint around killing everything in a group of four, doing the thing or shooting the guy then doing the same to get out again. Which is still fun, but a different kind of fun.

It's so cool to actually enter the ship like a ninja, stab a few guys here, sneak past when it's easier, and complete the objective with your enemies none the wiser.

But it's not rewarding in terms of mods or affinity. Some of the best rewards, particularly in terms of affinity, in this game are reaped by slaughtering countless mobs of goons in as short a time-frame as possible.

But what if your life, and the objective, and the best rewards, for some missions, depended on stealth?

You must destroy the core, but if any enemy triggers a panel after seeing you, hordes of near-unstoppable enemies rush you and force you to flee to extraction?

Ships populated by godlike enemies whose only weakness is melee stealth attacks? Otherwise it takes a four-tenno barrage of damage to take them down, alerting any nearby?

What if stealth attacks, particularly melee ones, granted considerable boosts to resource/mod drop rates or extra affinity?

What if missions completed without any alarms set off had a chance to give extra rewards?

Of course, it raises the whole issue of Loki and Ash becoming ridiculously op in those missions. Not sure how to deal with that issue. Loki is one of my favorite frames, but I don't try stealth solos with him as he makes it too easy.

Perhaps the devs could experiment with it, like they did with the conclave limits recently in tactical alerts? We couldn't use all our favorite frames for that, so perhaps we'll not be able to use a certain two frames, one sentinel and one kubrow in those missions?

This isn't a complaint. I see stealth as a fun gameplay alternative and I like that it features in Warframe. I don't think the game NEEDS change in this regard; there are more pressing issues in my opinion. But it is something I would love to see expanded in Warframe, or at least just discussed in this thread.

    So, what do you think?

  7. Coptering doesn't upset me, I think it's pretty good fun and use it extensively.

But I used rhino for the first time yesterday, and coptering pretty much renders his speed nerf irrelevant.

And I wouldn't miss it. It would mean that warframe speed including sprint and slide mods would actually matter.

  8. Sniper ammo pool has not been reduced to 30, it's per-weapon.

Vectis & other snipers have 72 ammo. BUT if you equip both primary and secondary using snipre ammo, only the lowest 'max ammo' value applies, and it's only one ammo pool of each type for all weapons.

I have filled a bug report for that.

    https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/290018-1421-weapon-ammo-rebalance-bug-lowest-max-ammo-is-used-for-all-wepons-using-that-ammo/

    Nice work, I appreciate that.

  9. It was intentional so that we don't camp on pillars and blow everything up before it reaches us.

Still, Primaries and Secondaries sharing ammo doesn't seem all that necessary. This sharing wasn't intentional per say, it's just the game recognizes it as the same pool.

Yeah I figured that would be the case.

Regarding camping on pillars, that's exactly was I was doing to level unranked frames on ODD. Dealing out pretty damn significant damage with maxed and forma'd castanas in complete safety. Never ran out of ammo.

With 120% multi-shot it's still a lot of damage, so I think it's fair to reduce it to 30 rounds.

I for one hope the shared ammo gets fixed, but I'll just have to find a different secondary in the meantime.

    Appreciate the reply.

  10. I noticed the ammo nerf for castanas. I approve this, they were a little op.

Same with the reduction in sniper ammo pool to 30. This means that ammo is actually a relevant thing now.

But am I supposed to only have 30 rounds, full stop, when I have both dread/vectis equipped with castanas as my secondary? After running out of vectis rounds I was very surprised to find that my castanas, also, were completely out of ammo, forcing me to revert to melee combat.

I don't mind them using the same pickups, making ammo hard to come by, but it just seems a little too much to drain your secondary as well when you're using your primary. 30 rounds is not a large total pool for non-melee weapons.

Is this intentional to make us use melee combat more often?
