  1. My laptop is running a hell of a lot hotter after this update. I've seen no improvements in loading times and framerate is the same as always. My game crashes more often now. If I pause the game I get a black screen and then my game crashes.

  2. Doubt this will happen since the sessions are Peer2Peer.

A lot of older multiplayer games were Peer2Peer and they could handle up to 16/32/64 players at a time. Previous DE games like Unreal Tournament/Championship comes to mind. Left4Dead had a mod that allowed up to 8 player co-op because the mechanic was already there (PVP). Warframe also has the capacity for 8 player games (Dark Sectors).

Well depending on where the pressure is regarding this game, then yes. The bottleneck problem may be in a different place than the normal one, aka internet capacity for the host.

^ This is the biggest issue. However, if Warframe were to have dedicated servers this wouldn't be a problem.

  3. Whenever I think about Excalibur's Super Jump I remember Prototype. In Prototype when you do a super jump, the character slams down hard damaging any enemies close to him. The same effect can be achieved when combining Super Jump with Heavy Impact. However I believe that wasting a mod slot for something that should have been part of the ability is kind of pointless. I'm not saying that Heavy Impact should be removed. I'm just saying it should be part of Super Jump, thus making that rather useless ability more of a utility ability kind of like Volt's Speed which increases movement and melee attack speed.

Dark Sectors and PvP in general; I believe it has been said before by some, but unless we get dedicated servers for PvP then it doesn't really matter how many "balance" changes are made PvP is still going to suck compared to PvE.

When U14 launched, whenever I went to the incubator after getting my kubrow and clicked on the DNA Stabilizer button, I would get a message saying that the stabilizers could be bought at the market of built in the foundry using the blueprint that didn't exist. I'm pretty sure that was a mistake as it was "fixed" later on but here's a thought; why don't we get a blueprint that uses the plants from Earth like the Health Restore one. It would make sense lore-wise. I mean, the Tenno can breed genetically altered war beasts but they have to buy DNA Stabilizers from from the market? How does that make sense? Not only would it make sense but it would be much less costly/time consuming than it already is.

As for the new mod UI, while I do like the new look of the mod cards, the interface itself is less intuitive that the last one. I mean, it's like you guys are reading through all the feedback and doing the exact opposite of what people are asking. I'm not saying that the game should be made according to the players wishes, it's your game and your dream after all, but making something that is actually playable is an integral part of developing a video game. This new UI is sluggish and needs optimization, especially for lower end computers, my laptop (which runs on an Intel Graphics HD 3000) slows down greatly whenever I use the foundry, arsenal, modding menus. Like I said before, the new UI is less intuitive than the stock on that came with U14. Back then whenever I wanted to just browse my mods I  would just go to the mod station, clicked on a button and browse at my leisure. Same for fusing mods or transmuting mods. I would just click the button of whatever I was going to do and viola, quick and clean. Now I go to the modding station and get thrown into the mod void (I have almost every mod in the game + duplicates) and have to pick one mod and click fusion and the look for the mods I'm going to use. Same with transmutation, I have to pick 4 mods in the mess of mods that I own and then click the transmute button. Of course if I accidentally click an already ranked mod, I can't start the transmutation. If I already clicked more than one mod, I can't start the fusion process. This new UI has way too much unnecessary clicking.

As for the rest, a lot of people have already mentioned many good points so I won't repeat everything they've already said.

  4. 1. Dani.Sinclair

    2. I love oppa... I mean, I love anime/manga.

    3. Oh boy, here we go... Anime: Akame ga Kill, Aldnoah Zero, Sword Art Online, Tokyo Ghoul, Zankyou no Terror, pretty much all summer series. Manga: Blade Play, Kangoku Gakuen, Freezing, Claymore, Break Blade, Btooom!... I could go on and on...

    4. Not wearing any. ;P

    5. There is no spoon?

  5. Mk-1 weapons - yes

Damage that bypasses shields - no. It makes little sense lore wise. Ex; The Orokin had technology far superior to what the Grineer and Corpus have currently. The Orokin created the Warframes to fight against the Sentinels which turned the Orokin's technology against them. It's safe to say that the Sentinels used the Orokin's weapons against the Tenno. The Tenno defeated the Sentinels. Now the Grineer and Corpus could create weapons that can penetrate the Warframes shields but it should be experimental tech and not widely available. Which means that a few units should have them.

Damage that bypasses shields in PVP - no. Again... Why? This isn't Battlefield or Call of Duty. It shouldn't take a few shots to bring a player down. I'm thinking something along the lines of Unreal Tournament. You don't die from a few shots in UT, unless someone shoots you point blank with the flak gun or rocket launcher. Or the redeemer...

Ordis? He should have more lines.

Silva & Aegis - less stamina more damage. Enough said.

New UI - Love it. Reminds me of Deadspace. If Deadspace used Windows 8...

    Cake. With frosting...

Star Wars FTW. It was a hard choice. I actually love both... Why u do this to me?!

As for the kubros, Doesn't the incubator interface say that you can buy DNA Stabilizers or build them in the Foundry? Where's the blueprint? I believe that making the blueprint and using materials available on Earth (where the kubros are from) would make a lot of sense. The flowers from Earth could be used to create the stabilizers. Thus Earth would be the Pet Store for kubrows; get kubrow eggs, kubrow mods and mats for the stabilizers. It's like killing a flock of birds with a rocket launcher... (No birds were harmed during the writing of this opinion)

  6. hello i wanted to talk about the Kurbrows, they are nice and it is fun to play with them more than with sentinels except for the fact that they have loyalty and Health, those facts are in my opinion useless because i have to spend 100k every time my kurbrow is dying to buy 6 DNA stabilizers and it dont make any sense and the loyalty is almost the same situation.

i was thinking that DEV´s could remove those things that are completely useless and with no sense or add something to take your kurbrow with your sentinel together since the snetinel is simple and kurbrow is more elaborated, im just saying that a lot of people have preffered sentinels because they have more abilities and they can be more usefull and cheap than a kurbrow.

     please have that in mind.

So your idea is to turn kubrows into machines?

Do you really believe that an intelligent living being is going to follow you loyally if you let other people beat the crap out of it every time? Loyalty and Health are not simply game mechanics but also lore based mechanics. People don't seem to pay attention to lore these days...

Kubrows are genetically modified in a way that makes their DNA unstable, thus it degrades over time. Which is why DNA Stabilizers are needed.

So no, they are not completely useless and actually do make sense.

The reason why you can't bring a sentinel and a kubrow at the same time is obviously for the sake of balance. If you want extra support, use specters.

Sure, the kurbows require a few tweaks to make them better, but keep in mind that this is a new feature. It will be rough around the edges for a while.

If you really want a game where you can have an army of animals without the need to take care of them, then play Pokemon instead...

  7. -DNA. It's ridiculous that I have to inject one of those things every two days into my pet. 100.000 credits is insane. It feels like a paid membership: No matter if you use it or not, you gotta pay.

While I do agree that 100k creds is a bit steep, especially for newer players that manage to get a kubrow, doing Ceres or Pluto Dark Sectors with a full team will net you 23k creds with each run. 4 runs of those and you're good to go, plus you get resources/exp/mods in the process. It's a win-win scenario. DNA Stabilizers are pretty much pet feed for kubrows. You know, pet food, the bag you buy for your pet so they don't die of hunger. Granted real life pet food doesn't cost as much compared to DNA Stabilizers...

-Kubrows die 1.5 seconds after they go down. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it's extremely annoying.

They do bleedout way to fast making the bleedout mod a must for every kubrow.

-The petting system. It is quite a good system actually, because it forces you to watch over your Kubrow. The problem is, well, the statement above ^

Once you deal with the bleedout problem, watching over the kurbow doesn't become much of an issue. At least for me.

-Furs, trading and platinum. Getting the exact fur you want shouldn't be an easy thing. As a wise man once said: 'If life is too easy, it becomes boring'. Trading with others seemed like a good idea at first, but is horribly inefficient. It's extremely difficult to find the exact fur type you want, not to mention that you need two to be sure. On top of that, if you do find one, people ask the jackpot for it. Platinum, of course.

"If life is too easy,it becomes boring". This kind of contradicts your previous statements. I agree that the fur trading for Platinum is a bit unnecessary.

-You have to wait 3 hours before you can switch Kubrows (3!!!). Come on DE, this is nuts. I can understand why you did this. It's to stop people from putting their Kubrow in their stasis to prevent having to use DNA samplers. But there must be another way. I don't want to wait 3 hours to switch my gear. How would the community react when they did the same with Warframes or weapons? (Now comes the fun: you can rush it with platinum. I mean, come on. This goes too far).

THIS. If I could rep you 10 times I would. 3 hours is too much, and rushing it with Platinum? Now we're getting paywalls for nearly everything. Before we know it this will end like The Old Republic where you can only do certain missions and pvp a few times a week and you have to pay real money if you want to do more...

-Kubrows have like 5 mods that can be maxed up to level 10. This is way over the top. I needed 6 forma to max my Kubrow entirely, not to mention the thousands of fusion cores and bazillions of credits necessary. Why did you not make some of those mods max level 5, with the same stats?

I think rank 10 is justified in this case. Those mods are incredibly powerful so it should take you some time to fully level them.

Enough said. Although, if they do decide to halve the ranks and leave the same stats like they did with Steel Charge I'm not gonna complain.

As for my opinions, they need to raise their base bleedout to at least five seconds to give people a chance to revive them until they can use the bleedout mod. Lower the statis recovery time at least by half. Lower the price of the DNA Injectors. And finally, color customization like the sentinels have.

  8. Yeah, read the changelog of the hotfixes before asking another stupid question...

Just kidding. But seriously, read the changelogs for any random changes that may have been added to the game.

    Hotfix 14.0.8:

    Prosecutor Changes:

    • Changes in location of Prosecutors is live on Ceres, this was not explicitly called out in full on Update 14 but has been live since then. Endless mission types like Survival and Defense will now guarantee you Delta Beacons. Gamma, Omega, and Kappa Beacons can be found on Prosecutors on the non-endless mission types.
  9. My kubrow insta-died for no reason after taking a tram in a grineer tileset after killing the phorid. There weren't any enemies around, hell there's little that can actually kill him, and he just died. Just like that. Had to waste 2 interactions to raise his loyalty again. Sucks that I had to pay because of a bug, but oh well.

As mentioned before (probably many times already), they get stuck occasionally on many maps.

I also noticed that when another player's kubrow and mine use salvage at the same time, my kubrow gets stuck in place for the entire mission. He just stands there facing the locker like some kind of punishment game...

Sentinels get one-shotted by volatile runners and regen doesn't seem to work anymore.

On a plus side; kubrows rock! My huras one-shotted the phorid with only a rank 3 hunt/6 maul.

PS; Another observation today. My kubrow seems to be pretty damned stupid at times, just standing there in front of enemies doing nothing for a few seconds watching me get slapped silly and then attack. I figured that would be something they'd do if their loyalty is low (I assume that is not an intended feature, because if it is it makes no sense). Unlike my dethcube who shoots at anything that moves without a second thought. Also, has anyone noticed how funny they look when using ziplines?

  10. Mirage quest got stuck during the chassis part. Got tired to being told to build the chassis over and over again while it was being built and switched to the kubrow quest. It was funny listening to Ordis complaining about the baby kubrow considering the fact that it was already matured but after the hotfix, quest complete. So I switched over to the mirage quest again while my mirage was finishing building and now Lotus keeps telling me to build the chassis and the quest is stuck there.
