im about to receive some hate,
AS i stated before in the last patch, it was an exploit that people totemagotes taking advantage of something that map wise/spawn wise, was not going to change. the missions requirements to succed, however, did change (as a result in the way how the missions itself was being exploited) HONESTLY i kinda saw the nerf for the 4 frames coming but i had hoped that it wouldnt have happened like it did.
In all my years of playing mmo's and such, everytime there was a exploit happening due to players saying "this part of the game sucks bc of the grind and i've already grinded to lvl max" it has almost always ended in the company, though not popular to what players want(or even what devs want to do but have too), nerfing any characters involved in this exploit (ie hunters, mages, tanks etc.) to making the said area/mission either harder, or place in rules and such to make it such the exploit cannot continue like it has. this is, around 90% always the case that happens. and the reason is simple:
ill have to explain it in a different way to show this. if a store keeps getting their sh*t stolen because people dont want to pay the price, you bet they are going to 1) make it harder to steal said items AND 2) sue who ever is caught doing it. i know this is a RL situation thrown in a game forum, but it applies the same concept. if you keep exploiting a map due to spawns being somewhat close(thus a smallish map), and enemy's being easy to kill because a frame basicly goes "lawl no shields" when the enemy uses about 3/4 total life in shields to protect themself, then a frame that can hit everything, anything anywhere, killing this enemy (because its an ult move can totally handle the 1/4 of the health it has left and poor def they have) you bet they are going to nerf them so they cannot do this the same way they had been doing it. sadly Trin is that frame that keeps getting its hand caught in the cookie jar, and thus is having fingers removed for it because you wont stop doing it.
you have nobody to blame but yourselfs (viver exploiters) for this nerf, when they said it was END GAME content, it is, sadly it involves grinding from start to finish to use it. but if you run your missions, do defense/survival, you will make a good ammount of points.
it truely sucks that it came down to this, i dont blame devs for doing this, and if they change the way part of their end game content is gotten completely, then what was the point of working hard to figure out a plan to put them in, how they worked, what kind of system base's they will work on, and what rewards would be good but not 100% unbalance the game.
Dev's put alot of work into this game, and for the long run, they have had to make unpopular decisions. sometimes because of something that kinda breaks the game, or something that if people found out, would break the game.
lets not lie to ourselfs, the game has to bring in profit in order to keep going, in order to keep playing they have to be making more than the bottom line. "hire more people if you cant get it done!" its not that simple. bring in 1 person, could take up to 40-60k extra pay for (game designers and programmers are not the cheapest, and no, i did not take an indepth look into pay ranges). for a game that relys on people buying plat, and those same people mostly buying plat when it on sale, cuts really deep into that. and for all we know, dev's could be putting extra hours, that they may not be getting paid for, for the sheer fact that love the game and want to see it grow, but know that games dont grow without a line of money to pay for the work and man hours it takes.
sorry for this very long post, i feel they did what they had to do. in the future they may do a small change to buff the frames again, but if you keep exploiting the game, all you will see will be nerfs (unless they intended for certain things to happen)
now, time to go deal with some RL stuff before i get to have fun with new archwing weapons :D

incorrect. just ran a viver with my nekros, there was 10-13 mods pre wave total and the resources and orbs also seem to count towards this "mod limit" go check it out for yourself. This maybe a bug and needs to be fixed.
Also, think about it... you need long farms to get things like gleaming talon, or stalking fan ( unless transmuted ) and imagine being in a long interception or endless mission type to farm for this and e.g 300 mods drop per round yet you only get 50 and you dont see e.g rare gleaming talon drop back in the first 250, you hae now lost that mod and its stupidly low drop rate. thats my point.
well, it wasnt ment to have 250 mods drop in a round of interception seeing how it should only take about 10/15 mins to complete that wave. but if its a bug to where health and energy orbs do affect it then it does need a fix for that. i dont agree with farming in the sense of standing in one spot and spamming a button for tons of loot. its not ment to be played this way and is not fun doing it that way nor does it help the ecom of the game as well.

Here are my 2 Cents about the 50 mod cap:
This so called "performance fix" is perfectly understandable if you look at it from an economical point of view.
Yes, the 50 mod cap is basically adressed for Viver. But why you might ask.
Well, with way more than 250 mods (average) per run, where about 50-80 of them are Common Fusion Cores (considering the other cores, this means a combined of 10-20 R5 Cores seen as Fusion Energy) it already started to destabilize the currency system DE is using, Platinum.
The easier it is to farm Cores, the less the Platinum cost in Trade channel, thus creating a devaluation of Platinum over time.
So basically the "performance fix" appears to be nothing more than a not so honest way of trying to salvage their income.
As for now it is still possible to get more than 50 mods per Viver run, and people will adapt to this by evolving new strategies and still abuse it like ther's no tomorrow.
Be it looting every 25%, or try other combinations of capped points to speed up the round.
But make no mistake, Viver will still get hit by the nerf bat in one way or the other.
Not only because of the mods, but considering it is probably not intended to get 10k+ kills for half an hour of idling with macro on (plus all the xp you get from it).
As always, take everything i just said with a grain of salt.
you are correct, also, if no1 is buying plat, they have no way to keep the game going or pay their employees. and not paying employee is not okay. also, it would make rank 10 mods (such as damage mods) worth 1/5 or 1/3 of what they are not. making those who play to rank it up meaningless if everyone plays viver and can rank it to 10 in a matter of days.

Since this hotfix, i loose next to all my FPS due to memory leaks, the problem was not the mods on the map but now seems to be the equation to remove the mods, so, not only have the loss of mods killed abit of fun but the ability to even play the game at this time.
I find your solution to Viver by nurfing loot also a joke, and even for farming in ODD, T4, or ANY other map including archwings! those mods are hard enough to find and NOW all them affinity orbs may even de-spawn mods so you could miss the low drop rates for them anyway!
This "Band Aid" is a dissapointment and i feel the community will plummet from this.
its just on mods. so the orbs and all that dont count toward this. (when the 51st mod drops the 1st mod if it hasnt been touched will be despawned)

^ 1k every day you say? it takes 240k to reach maximum rank....are you willing to spend 240 days in this game knowing that it will take 240 days to reach the maximum reputation? this is not counting the cost or time that it would take in order to gain the mods from these syndicates
i ment that to be several 1k, as in, i get around 3k per day. so around 70 or so day, which isnt all that bad honestly. not to mention they are looking into higher sigel giving more rep. and the mods they give are sometimes just okayish while others seem pretty nifty. I dont mind having to save up points. the only real things that i want are the Large health/energy/ammo restore BP's. if this game was about getting everything in 1/2 months, i dont think i would be playing this game.

to those complaining about viver,
i fell this was a good move. as when i farm for mods, i dont let 50+ sit on the gound, if i get lucky and even get 50-100 mods for 40+ mins.
i also find that exploiting the way maps are set up and sitting in one spot and spamming a button, is not teamwork. this is instead laziness. also, doing this is also hard on servers as well as client computers when you let 200-300 mods sit in a given spot. just because its not YOUR computer or teammates computers having issues doesnt mean this isnt affecting other sections of said server.
now, because people have exploited this flaw in the game, those who by chance do have that 50th mods on the ground and is working franticly to keep things such as LS going now have to suffer due to this fix in order to just keep viver in check.
Dropping spawn rate in that map would make the way it is intead even boring as people would likely be camping enemy spawns just to keep up on the fun. wheres the fun in camping spawns? wheres the fun in sitting in 1 spot and spamming a button? if im doing t1 def, for 30-40 rounds you can get up to 500+ points. thats a few 1,000 every day. which i think is a decent ammount. yes, i can understand that higher lvl people are not too happy about this as i can see having 1000's of hours of work, then seeing more work just to get the mods that are held by syndicates.
the 50 mods limit sucks, we all know. but instead of changing the way a part of a map works (as changing the map takes time, and money) they opt to try and fix it in other ways.
for all those campers, thanks for exploiting maps because your too lazy to play it the right way. maybe you should play something else. possibly perfect world or other games where there is auto mapping for you fools too.

It's debatable if the tenno are human. Certainly they wouldn't be able to live that long, and quite a few suits couldn't fit a person with arms or legs inside.
i have to agree with this guy. some of the suits just simply dont fit that. although with the way the lotus is it kinda does make sense. i see it as Tenno is kinda like the soul or essence that brings energy and life to the warframes. going into the void strips the body of said Soul and seeks another body, but the body must be of that of a warframe instead of a regular one. build parts and putting the frame together so you can use. its still a body so you cant just do w/e with it. thus selling these make it feasible, the Lotus take the old warframe to give to the new souls.

what about Wraith frames?
but the twist would be, the frame you level up through hardcore mode can be sacrificed for Wraith frame parts (each frame can give one of 3 parts).
but heres the catch.these parts make up the abilities your frame will have when created. This way the frames are more acustom to the moves you like.
it can fit in the lore, Stalker is(would be) a Wraith frame, this is why he has moves from different frames and why they sometimes are much more powerful then your own. make it to where the frame is much harder to level, but at the same slightly stronger.
These frames would be courrpted though, so their is a chance when you join a mission, YOU could be the enemy and have your own goals.
the percent chance would change depending on what lvl your wraith frame vs the lvl of the mission vs players of that mission. this way you see wraith frames in missions against those who can handle fighting such a frame and gives a bit of fun in a different way. there would be another mode along with the 1st two (reg/nightmare) called Corrupted these can give different rewards as well. if the players win, they get something cool, if the wraith frame fulfills his mission by downing x players OR complete game objective without dying to players (means wraith frame could kill your boss before you do) they get something cool( the players would still gain a reward, but it be more standard). either way i think would be fun.
this would be very interesting in my eyes. a reason to do hardcore and more pvp. i would still have to revise this alot more.OFC this is all up to DE anyways.

sorry i ment that in a funnyish way but idontknowwhatiwasgoingfor...... i feels stupid because i farmed 25 of those things last month so i wouldnt need them for a while. fml the one component i farmed to avoid needing to get them again and they expired. -.-; this was as crazy as being able to pick up mutipule power cores for extractors.

i find that im always getting them and now i see that apparntly there a count down timer on them when you check from out from the foundry?
i mean, is this the ammount of time i have left till ortis make argon crack and thus is why the real reason hes glitchy? or does the Lotus like her crystals? >:[

ive started having problems staying connected to games now. there are even points where connection to dojo with shoot be back to login screen. also, what lvl do you have to be to start seeing syndicate alerts? i havent seen one in the past 60 games hours ive been playing...

honestly, i go with win 7. vista is like over protective mom getting upset bc you had fun time with your wife. btw your 50 with kids in teenage range, trust me, windows 7 will give much less headaches

it may be listed, but people should remember, the more OS that is needed to be supported, the more often company's like Digital extremes and such are going to have bugs, problems, hotfixes that break other parts of the game that was not even a issues as before. ALSO if you play on min requirements, you dont have much leeway when the game encounters a problem and has to ramp up in order to power through it. which can cause it to crash. even with the 560ti im using, there were times my frame rate dropped to single digits when enemys would desolve and physX was off the charts.
its like this, playing the minimum is like buying a car for $1,000, there will be a point where the car cant keep up or the confines it worked within get alot smaller. computers, after they hit about 5 or so years old, if they were okish machines at the time, they start degrading in preformance or having hic-up's. the old computer i build back in 2005, still works, but it has issues. just turning on is long and difficult. if i tried to run crysis on it like i did back then (which i played, it was barely the min to play it) it would crash and bluescreen the system.
by the way, if you get windows then for a year microsoft should be able to help you with problems. a fresh install can do wonders. but having more than 2 different OS on a system if its the same company, may cause issues. windows 7 is really not that bad. and if your oppose to something new and learning it, why did you get into computers?
ounce again sorry for this long post, and i apologize if this offended anyone, its my 2 cents. i would love to hear from you if you see it in a different light. because i love to learn and hear both sides/multiple sides to things.
btw, when i read the link, i thought that last part had a G at the end instead of a Q. haha

im sure that DE is making a hotfix for it and multiple other things as patching just 1 item seems like a waste to some but not others. in the meantime what i do is stick close to your teammates, so they can revive you without failing the mission. and the one thing i find that kills me in archwing missions is missles, they can stun lock you and can down you in a single barrage.

i love windows XP, it was simple, it worked, easy to get. but the OS is getting really old... to make company's have to support isnt to much of an issuse unless that company is paying microsoft to make XP machines up to date on stuff for buisness related pratice. which means that the windows XP they may have vs the windows XP you have may be cause shut updates they are able to get fixed to work on their machine but not yours.
something you could look into is find somebody who is going to college, see if they get student discounts on OS systems (i know a few friends who do) and see if you can get them to buy it for while just using your cash to do it. as some have mention, older software dont tend to support new and new parts coming off the line now and days. heck, the z97 motherboards were sort lived with the new z99 motherboards that support DDR4 ram (even though its damn near 500 bucks for 15gigs x.x)
nobody said you had to buy all the parts All at ounce. the computer im using right now, took several months of planning, buying parts, saving up money and long work hours when i could. sometimes i even go down and donate plasma twice a week for 1st 20/ 2nd 40 bucks to save up money.even now its not done, but since i started the gpu i was going to get was avg around $680 (gtx 780ti) but has came down ALOT with the interduction of the GTX 970/980 series (right now i was lucky enough that a friend of mine upgraded his gpu and thrown his 560ti to me as high processor tend to have not so great intergraded graphics). i have now cut my build from 2200 down to near 1900/2000 total. this doesnt include the OS, which i will be changing to win 7 x64 pro. and i could have done without a few items (NZXT HUE for example) but you can find sales to buy parts. and if your system can handle it you might be able to just stick your old HHD/GPU into your system and get a new copy of the OS. although i am using examples for my computer that i am building, doesnt mean you need to build a 2.2k system just to play warframe. even a system that cost 500/600 dollars would be able to play this game at a pretty good 60fps or so.
i built my system myself and tested it and have not gone to college to learn about building a computer. honestly, i went to youtube and watched NZIX/ Linus tech tips/ tech quickie to brush up on my information. (last time i was involved with computer was back when quad cores start to become the new kid on the block and not long after windows xp)if you wanna know what i built to get a general idea, OR i could actually through a few system ideas out there. you know... cyber monday is coming near the end of the month. never know what good deals you might find that would help you.

holy fk! 8 hours of countless download retry errors from launcher and i heard the drums. those drums are the sweetest noise i heard all day today :.)

could somebody tell me the DL size of this update. if sounds small enough where i might not need to wait till friday/sat. then again, i could always be wrong :(
on a side note. i love that 2 handed weapons got a buff! the gram was really weak even on lower lvl enemy's and felt more like a pillow then a 2 handed weapon. the rest of these weapons will feel alot better now to grind up :D -
i know that sometimes there are random &#! bugs like this one that affect a very small group of people. i dont have this issuse but let try something.
have you:
1) go to upgrade from your weapons, then click on mods to see if it shows then?
2) try doing a filter, i do by polarity so when i use mods that are not the exact same im still getting the most out of it.3) sadly, this one sucks, have you tried re-downloading the client OR optimize the client(through launcher settings) if you have but it didnt work, what i was forced to do just to update past any update past u15 was take my entire rig to a friends and download from there to make it work at home.
4) take a screen shot! sometimes we might be able to see something, if anything, so mods can see and also came to the same concluion and hopefully get DE to help? (maybe?) if you are running the luancher from WF site, download MSI afterburning and go to settings. there you can have it set up to do SS
i hope this helps or atleast make it not as bad as it is now. -
Very bad and frankly baffling.
i would have to agree here. seeing how your GPU is only soppose to work hard when there is a higher render/poly count and low when there is little.
does the GPU go down during enemy spawn when you stay an extra round?

so, During a mission in the earth Archwing interception, on round 2 (enemy clean up) the host of the game dropped (not sure if due to bad connection or aborting mission)
Then during the following continue screen the new host decided to extract. im not sure for what reason or how it happened tho but, round 3 started, and nothing spawned, even with Lotus saying enemy's are coming and are more powerful then the last. we would get 100% interception with no spawns.
The lotus at this point would not say to clean up the rest of the enemy's and instead go to the contuine screen. this went on till about round 8 (we wanted to test if the rotations of items would possibly reset this at wave 4 but did not) not wanting to push our luck (as we already had at this point) we extracted.
none of the points were ever in threat of being captured or had the noise play as if the enemys were capturing a point at all. sadly i dont know how to take SS in warframe ( i knew how with steam but was forced to abandon steam) and do not have any screenshots or vids.
Has anyone else encountered this at all? there is not really a way to test this atm as im not sure what happened with the original host.

the only complaint i have atm is i wish each hotfix wouldnt keep me from playing the game. i have to go over to a friends to update (and thats only on the weekends i get to do this) right after monday, i was unable to play, again. hopefully i can update tomarrow and not have a update tomarrow to break my game again... as much as fixing things are cool, being able to play would be better. (havent gotten to even check out my archwing yet much less other things :/)
if only there was manual patches one could download then i wouldnt have issues >.>;

something i have been doing recently and find a friend who can download the game and play with no problems, take your hdd/ssd to his house if they allow it and install on their rig, change bio's settings to boot from your drives OS then attempt to update the game again.
this is the hassle way of doing this, but for me it worked. though after i did this the next day 14.0.5 came out and broke it again. having to wait when friend is not busy with college studying before i can treck over there and update again. if it updates on your friends system, i would try defragging your computer and do a registery scan. i just did one and found several problems with my firewall messing up with warframe ports and fixed it. waiting to see if it updates now.

i actually got to that launch, and imo works better for certain things. if you DL warframe from a friend and launch this one, it sometimes will transfer data from those files into its own. but it doesnt always happens and sometimes it stops half way and goes back to downloading from servers. it almost saved me 6 days of non-stop downloading. but alas, still need to take my rig to my friends to do ANY updates, which kinda sucks as im able to play the games just fine on my hotspot but updating is a sad no-go.... cant wait to start my job and making some mula.

im having this issues with hotfix 15.0.5 and sadly i run off a hotspot (dont have internet yet and a friend is letting me borrow it.) as the game really isnt supported on hotspots i think i may have to wait till the weekend before downloading the hotfixes. something tells me that ill most likely keep having this issuse till i get internet. this kinda blows bc my archwing is ready to be claimed and have yet to actually play with it :(
this may help those who arnt able to download the u15 update. i would find a friend who is close who has been able to download the update and play without problems, and see if they would allow you to take your computer over to their house and update. this is what i have been doing and this may save you time and frustrations. i cant wait till the hotfixes stop because i cant play till they stop updating the game every few days. this sucks because on a night where i have nothing to do is a night i would love to be playing the game.

maybe add sub adjectives that would give bonus reward for rep? kinda like the affinity bonus you get when you kill 30 enemies, or slide kill 5, maybe even custom ones. start with wallrun kill then slide attack to gain x rep. that also be fun.
