  1. Yeah, a lot of those bosses you're talking about as bosses from other games aren't actually bosses. Like, Big Daddies? Hunters? What?

    Wait, what? New Hek's out?

Well, in games like Halo, there are more so "boss levels" than bosses. Brute Chieftains and Hunters are all sub-bosses, as there is never really any character that acts as a boss in the Halo franchise.  Also, in my experience with Bioshock, Big Daddies are most definitely not bosses.

However, he is not incorrect in making comparisons between Hunters/Brutes and Big Daddies to the bosses found within Warframe. Excluding Lephantis, most bosses are killed relatively quickly, and do little to slow or deepen the game. Mostly, I see bosses as ways to slow down my sacrificing of virgins and sheep to those known as the RNG gods.

  2. We really do not need to make bow mods where they can use rifle mods.

    Carbon Fiber = Serration

    Dual Nock = Split Chamber

    Instinctive Aim = Speed Trigger

Although Flight speed sounds like an amazing mod, it'd be better as a rifle mod so it can be used on non-hit-scan weapons such as the supra

Of course these mods are very alike to other mods for rifles, but that's the point of it.

As all different kinds of weapons have mods that do basically the same thing, with slightly varying percentages, I've attempted to recreate that for bows. Yes, they are virtually identical, but nothing is set in stone.

Also, Instinctive Aim is much more closely related to melee's Reflex Coil. Though it has the same effect in the long run, where the effect applies is different.

  3. Having recently been introduced to the wonderful world of bows, I'm a little disappointed that bows don't have their own(or at least a few more) bow specific mods. So, I decided to brainstorm a few mods since i didn't have much else to do anyway.

These are just some ideas that I've had for what bow mods could be and/or how they'd function. As with all concepts, anything I've typed is subject to change.

  4. Primary

    1. Phage - Duh

    2. Synapse - again, duh

    3. Ignis - I like continuous weapons

    4. Dread - with thunderbolt, boom boom is very appealing

    Secondary

    1. Brakk - High damage, me likey

    2. Kunai - silent ninja weapons

    3. AkBolto - smaller Boltors, with all of the pinning action

    Melee

    1. Galatine - Charge attacks

2 Glaive - throwing things is cool

    3. Dual Either - armor ignore is also fun

  5. This competition has too many small fries, Irish they'd just stop.

Does anybody else find potato puns apeeling?

But, before I myself stop. Does anyone know why potatoes are so manly? I hear they can grow a great mustarch.

I was watching Starch Trek earlier, and I wondered where space travel got it's roots. Turns out, Spudnik 1 was the origin. Just like a chip off the old block.

These potato puns are really something to boil over aren't they?

  6. First of all, all Sentinels have the same stats, so this won´t change with new ones.

I think the concepts have some potential but the shield ability from screen doesn´t sound good to me. Only when he reloads? It´s to dependend on the weapon.

Made all sentinels stats now add up to a measure of 550 (weighted) so they're all more balanced now.

Also, the Shield activates when the owner of the sentinel reloads, depending on how empty their clip is.

  7.

Here me out here: You get a message from the Lotus following a run of Outbreaks saying you've been exposed to dangerous levels of nanospores.

Then in the middle of a later Infested mission, you start hearing Lephantis (representing the voice of the collective, as the "source" of Infested in this sector) welcoming you into the collective before a massive growth forms on you that mind controls you into attacking your team mates - accomplished by transforming your teammates (from your perspective) into Elder Ancients and calling an endless swarm of Ancients and lesser Infested into the room to separate and conceal them. Friendly fire is turned on between the Infested Tenno and his teammates.

    Dangerous levels?

If anything I've built an immunity!

  8. I'm not entirely sure how frequently this happens as I'm trying to replicate what happened in the video below.

While I was playing, my HUD ended up freezing, and would not move for the remainder of the game. However, the abilities of the players who's HUD was displayed frozen instead of my own (likely the hosts) were not frozen, and would activate cool down timers when cast.

    http://youtu.be/AnjRISkFe8s

Also, I believe there is a glitch with the Galatine, which can be seen at roughly 55 seconds into the video. The Galatine will stay in a players hand when using or switching weapons, and will only be re-holstered when a melee attack or ability is used. This I have recreated several times, but I'm still not sure what triggers it.

  9. This needs a lot more elaboration.

As of now, it's a twenty minute mission with minor details and no rewards. It's like waking into an Italian Bistro and saying, "Yeah, I'll take a sandwich".

I'm sure that if this was elaborated upon it could become a good idea, but you need to tell me what KIND of sandwich you want.

Perhaps including more details about when this mission type would occur, and where it would show up on the star map/ how it would be accessed.

  10. So far as the abilities go, they seem balanced and written well, but they're not game changers per-say. They'd offer damage boost that would be helpful, but I'd like to see abilities that are more unique. (Not being rude here, trying to be constructive) but the abilities currently up for the frame seem like buffed abilities from other frames, which would make abilities from those frames obsolete.

" Experimentally, hadron physics is studied by colliding protons or nuclei of heavy elements such as lead, and detecting the debris in the produced particle showers"

So basically, I'd like to see one of his abilities be smashing two balls of matter/energy together, resulting in some form of radial damage and status effects.

That's my two cents, hope something can be made of it!

  11. I would remove either tainted shell, or both critical mods.

Because Tainted shell reduces fire rate, the extra critical damage will do no good, as the hits when the crit chance would apply are less frequent.

Personally, I'd remove tainted shell, and replace it with bane mods. Or I'd remove the two crit mods, and replace them with contagious spread and a bane mod. You would, of course, need 2-3 more forma for that to work effectively.

  13. Post is now contained in spoilers, so as to prevent the foreboding wall-of-text feel it used to have. Improved lore for the Chimera is being though of, as well as a description of what I see when I think of this frame. Should any Tenno be willing to draw a concept, it would be greatly appreciated.

Artists are now being contacted to see if a concept can be drawn up for this frame. I have great amounts of faith in these artists, and I hope any concepts these artists can create would be absolutely amazing.

As always, anybody have any suggestions?

  14. Does kind of make sense. I mean who decides to put a space ship docking station in only TWO PLACES on a ship, and leave them both un-monitored with an active threat nearby?

"Hey Jim, where should we put these docking bays?"

"Dunno John, how's about somewhere fairly close to all of our important systems... but not too close"

"Excellent idea Jim, that way, we can load and unload stuff quicker!"

    "An Excellent Idea Indeed!"

"Should we make two just in case we have more than one space-pizza delivered at a time"

"Bloody brilliant John! I suppose we'd need to monitor them in case anyone sneaks in..."

"Nah man, how much harm can a pizza-boy do?"

"Right man, pizza boys can't do anything, good thinking. Boss'd be proud"

    *Ding-dong*

    "Pizza's here!"

*Opens door to find an Excalibur wearing a dominoes pizza uniform*

"See John, absolutely nothing will happen!"
