I understand just about all that but then they have this in the FAQ on any restricted items and I just want clarification, is it exclusive to plat purchased through the nintendo eshop and just on the platform or does anyone that make their nintendo account their main account not allowed to do any plat trading regardless if they purchase the plat on a different platform and attempt to trade on said different platform.

My main account is on the nintendo switch, I pretty much have everything done starchart wise and story wise so I would rather make that my main account, but I want to get as much cleared up before I even think about committing to merging If my nintendo account is my main account, does that mean I can't cross trade with plat at all, even if I was to buy platinum on pc and attempt to trade while on pc or does this trade ban only affect the nintendo switch consoles and I can have a seperate wallet for trading while playing on my pc? What exactly gets reset if my pc account(an old 2015 account that I barely got the past the tutorial at the time due to a low end pc) is made into my main account from the merge? I know it says I get to keep my arsenal, resources and inventory, and I don't mind replaying the story, or star chart, neither of those will take too long due to my builds, even if I have to wait until gargoyle's cry is done or try and speed run it to get to the whispers in the wall update, but I'll be really put off if I have to grind all my syndicates back up from zero.
