But I do have one question while the research ticks down, how's the energy consumption when using both his 1 and 4?

his 1... is a activate and forget type deal in most case.

his 4... depends on your duration mostly and efficiency second.  I got mine down to about 1.79 e/s with 170% duration 130% efficiency.  Lasts a good while imo.

Not really gunna comment on "Fun" here but....

The passive should be per Revive. It's really just that simple to me.

The clone being unable to strike the Nullifier bubble isn't even a problem with it being considered an ability instead of a weapon. Plenty of abilities that manifest outside the bubble can strike it. It's only until recently with Revenant and Wisp where DE decided to start cherry picking and being inconsistent. The only abilities which cannot affect a Nullifier bubble are ones which require a target. Valkyr's Ripline is a great line in the sand example. She cannot pull enemies from inside the bubble however she can still pull herself to terrain inside the bubble.

The 1500 Armor cap for Defy is just kinda tragic. I suppose if it's affected by Steel Fiber and similar mods it's a lil better but I'd wager Gara is more immortal than the immortal monkey king. Armor does jack in this game and DE knows it. They should also know one big hit isn't all that great compared to many rapid hits.

I guess at least his 4th has Slash weight now? I dunno. He feels very "Casualized" to me.

Honestly we've traded a 1-trick pony for something that can use all of its abilities.  I feel he is still pretty beefy tbh if you slap on Arcane Guardian (x2), Adaptation and use Defy to plug up the last bit.

  3. No.  I like this game the way it is.  I like DE the way they do their monitization currently, I like being able to wear what I want when I want how I want color it the way I want and to me that is 100X more valuable than stats which they have PHASED out (remember Arcane helmets?  Nobody really does nor do people use them commonly.  Remember when you had to LOCK Arcanes onto your Syandanas?  Yea, they removed that so people could look the way they want.)  DE wants people to enjoy the way their frame looks over giving us micro-transaction bait.  How much money have I given EA and Activision, hell even Destiny in their micro-transactions?  Not nearly as much as I have DE and I have no remorse over it because of how awesome they are as far as a company to customer relation.  Yes, I'm still salty about Chroma...  But  no I wouldn't enjoy being nickle-and-dimed on stats.

  4. Scrambas and Combas were unfair to frames that needed to build up meters... *cough* Chroma, for instance.*Cough*  there was no telegraph early on and they weren't visible in the crowd aside from being slightly higher, and inside a mosh-pit of moving mooks that height really isn't too stand-outish.  All I wanted was just a huge 'shoot me' beacon to show up in the form of some flashy animation because in the middle of all the hecktic fighting having a Scrambas/Combas just show up like the un-nerfed grineer sniper enemy (Ballista?) and shut down any fun you were having without notice is rather... dull.

Don't be so Narrow Minded. It created better teamwork.

it forced teamwork and CASTERATED a frame where you now have several BETTER options (not equal, but objectively better)  Nobody asked Chroma to be a stupid support frame.  Most of the people who used him, used him for his ability to tank and most of those choices have better skill SETS (not just a usable 2 and 3)  Just look at Rhino, he buffs himself AND his team AND can take 50k damage easily with the right build (and with LESS investment).  Look at Wukong, he is INVULNERABLE and his 4 is arguably more useful than Chroma's and comparing their 1's is just laughable.  Look at Inaros, Inaros with his pocket sand 1, infinately better than Chromas, and even inaros's 4 is better than chromas on top of having a useful skill-set elsewhere.

We don't NEED to force a tank into a support role and use that as a excuse to nerf him.  Take the support away or nerf the support and BUFF the bonus's to HIM.  No other warframe has to give up so much and don't even get me started on the ability to strait out kill an eidolon.  There are a bakers dozen of ways that one person can make those eidolons look like they are made of paper.

I'm not asking for the damage back, I'm just asking for the ability to tank like he used to.  At least on par with Rhino.

i believe the idea is to be able to hop into a pug and have a good time, having to look out for a dedicated group just to have some actual endgame challenge seems somewhat absurd to me, just like having to gimp myself and leaving optimal gear at home, since the whole game really revolves about gathering that stuff. i might just as well tell other ppl to stay on low level planets if they want an illusion of power. yes, warframe is very popular but so are numerous other games all with at least some actual balancing. and again: i wouldn't mind getting a seperate "hard" mode which would leave the rest of the game unaffected, so there.

i generally don't feel useless in missions since i got pretty much everything in this game, including META setups for pretty much anything, literally the only thing i'm missing is the lato vandal bp. i'm a vet yearning for challenge, something that really puts our gear AS WELL as our gaming skills to a test, momentarily we only got the former. my issue is not jealousy, my problem is playing as effective as possible mostly feels kinda boring since that usually eclusively involves permanently disabeling all opposition by means of pressing the same button over and over.

i'd be very curious about such a poll. i think the playerbase is pretty much 50/50 about that, or at least the vet part of it. when you're still fresh said problems obviosly aren't as apparent. yes, there's a vocal part of it opposing any kind of nerfing, on the other hand you regularly find threads just like this one popping up, garnering quite the popularity or at the very least attention...

"Actual Balancing" define that for me, because honestly I feel like for what most people that I meet they see it as balanced appropriately, though in need of a proper end-game that isn't fashion frame. Which is why I do encourage a Hard Mode too, as long as it does not change the fundamental power fantasy with the rest of the game.

Threads like this garner attention because of the conflicting views, people (like me) not wanting the Dev's to get the wrong Idea and suddenly I'm using a water-pistol instead of a warframe ability and people like you wanting what I see is more grounded fps/CoD gameplay or just another Destiny (2) when we already have those games and more.  What draws me here, and not there is the power fantasy itself and this is the same for a lot of people I know, being able to cut down swaths of mooks throughout the game from level 1 to 70+, while this game does need more challenge in places we do not need to nerf the abilities at the root to the level that I see most people wanting to.

    Shooting dead horses?

A game is supposed to be entertaining / make you feel good, so i still don't see how i-feel statements are invalid.

    Source?

No, you obviously do not get it. I never stated such a thing and also don't think that way but whatevs, kill my arguments with hyperbole, not like i didn't hear the COD thought-terminating cliché a thousand times already...

The reason why your feelings are invalid is because you don't have to play with people who nuke, you essentially wish to enforce YOUR views on how the game 'should' play on others.  Some people LIKE the power fantasy (Hell, look at the Dynasty Warriors games and their plethora of spin offs, they are that way for a reason and they still sell) and you are trying to change that, leave well enough alone and get some friends with like-minded views and play together or just play solo instead of forcing others to get rid of what draws them to the game.

When you feel like you aren't contributing then you need to look at what you are doing wrong, are you bringing a knife to a gun-fight?  When someone brings a Nuke frame, are you bringing a single-target frame or relying on guns?  The reason the CoD thought cliche is a thing is because people who want abilities to be nerfed, removed, or any combination like that already HAVE dozens upon dozens of games, and this game gives you options to nerf yourselfs.

So once again, stop forcing other people to play the way you want, its not fair and not FUN and at the end of the day aren't games supposed to be fun?  While you don't feel good, look at how popular warframe is, and how many content people there are with how the game is running that HAVEN'T spoken up and HAVEN'T taken the time to get onto the forums for anything more than update notes, if more people had a problem with how warframe is played than the vocal minority here then the Dev's would probably change it ASAP.  I bet you all the plat I have that if the Dev's did a in-game (not forum based) poll about how people would want the future of warframe to play-out it wouldn't be much different than where it is now.

Also, dude, look at my Avatar.

    I'm a Frost-main since Patch 7.3...

You talk to somebody who was there, when Snowglobe was indestructible, so please, cry me a river.

If you have really been a fan of frost for that long id expect some sympathy because you KNOW what I’m talking about.  Instead you are being spiteful...?  Why?

You up should be on my side, just as I argued that frost shouldn’t be absolutely kneecapped when HE was fresh off the chopping block.

He was to tanky, reverting him to his former godmode defeats the reason of him being fixed.

This on the other hand is interesting, but compared to Equinox, who also buffs abilities that whould be OP considering how much difference there is between Equinox Powerstrength bonus and the multiplier that chroma features.

You guys don't realize that 'god mode' is already here in the form of Wukong and even Valkyr or nyx with assimilate augment.  When you compare rhino to his defensive capabilities I can get 50k Iron Skin and if I am using an augment I can drop it comfortably and set myself up for at minimum 32k Iron skin easy.  Chroma's armor was NOTHING but on par.

People don't realize that some people don't care bout 'sharing' buffs, and that is why most Chromas didn't care about the reduced range.  We contributed through damage and being able to reliably pick up team-mates and that's actually good enough.

Now I know what you or others are going to say: "Giving that level of tankyness to other warframes would break the game!" and you are right, so... give CHROMA his original tankyness and let the current or even less radiate out to team-mates.  Simple solution that would actually bring me back to the game.  I still haven't played it unless a friend really wanted me to and I'm not going to.  I don't play chroma to be a support frame and we DON'T need more support frames as we have so freaking many of them.

Hopefully when it is your turn for your favorite frame to get kicked in the junk or tripped into a pile of mud you will realize how shifting a frame THIS much actually ruins players enjoyment.  Chroma was a niche frame and just because he became popular as ONE of the many ways to 1-2 shot an eidolon he got kneecapped.

They were both calculated in the same way, so yes that got nerfed as well. That's why most people are upset, because not only did they gut his damage output (which actually received fair compensation imo since you can now apply it to an entire squad) but also his armor buff with Ice Chroma, which means he is now a really subpar Tank. As far as all the Frames that can cast support abilities to improve survivability (that don't include invulnerability) I think the only ones worse than Chroma right now are Valkyr and Oberon for their underwhelming armor buffs.

They did say that Chroma will be getting a full, proper rework at some point. It's clear this is a rushed band-aid to stop people from decimating Eidolons so fast, so hopefully they'll find a way to fix him when the time comes. For now though, I'd say he's not really suitable for high level content because he just doesn't have the survivability for it anymore.

I didn't play Chroma to 'buff' my team, I played chroma to be a front-line get in the enemies face and stomp on them guy.  I don't care about supporting my team with buffs or I'd play... oh, I dunno... Trinity, Octavia, Harrow, Oberon, just as a short quick list.  I played Chroma because he was a effective tank that can be relied on to pick up his team-mates if they go down without some invincibility mechanic tied to it.  I could go to Wukong (invincibility) or Valkyr (Invincibility) and I can even make her Hysteria last the whole round unless I get hit with bad luck, but that's boring as hell.

I dunno but I'm just as I was looking forward to playing again after settling irl issues I'm just going to have to put this game on the proverbial shelf for a while and play something fun like A Muso/Warriors game, something fun where I'm not nerfed to the ground with little to no hope of getting that fabled rework.  :|  because of a niche character, admit it chroma was never that popular and now all those people who jumped on the Chroma bandwagon to farm easier are going to go to OTHER means, and Chroma is just going to stay stagnant and ineffective compared to every other warframe around it.

  11. Yea, I'm not a fan of this 'rebalance' either.  My 6 Forma Chroma is basically a much worse Rhino (my Rhino having 3 Forma) and it absolutely sucks.  I think I know how some of my friends felt when Frost Prime got his 'nerf' into the ground just because frost was effective at what he did.  Warframe was fun while it lasted...

Is that 8000 damage to break the whole thing, or to break a section of it?

    1 Section.

However, break one section of a glass full of water and everything escapes.  Conversly, break one section of that glass wall and your entire team can be assaulted.

Said it earlier, this isn't how laws work. Courts, jurys, lawyers. None of them give a fiddle how nice you are, if the legislation passes and your game contains a form of gambling then you will likely be required to state as such.

I'm not saying there isn't a chance that Warframe will be overlooked of course, but the notion that they'll get away with it because they're 'nice' or 'people don't even buy the packs' is nonsense.

This is all up in the air at the moment of course, interesting to see what it'll lead too.

I was more talking about people who are outspoken about the Lootbox issue and those jumping on the train.  I do understand that the law is the law is the law though.  At the end of the day even warframe might need to change (or maybe nothing will change).  The ironic part about it though is that the changes will matter so little to the players or DE themselves.  I don't have exact numbers but I highly doubt the bulk sum of Platinum spent in game is on those Card Packs.  I didn't mean to come across as seeming to believe the law will 'let things go because the people involved are nice', sorry if I gave that impression to anyone.

its just some overhyped nonsense that will hopefully fade away in few months .. people are just angry at EA for milking money ... if you read terms and conditions or eula or what is it called in english you can find there that you shouldnt have access to credit card if you are not adult and its not your own so if you have problem with your kid gambling you dont give him money and as long as you are adult noone cares if you are gambling... valve had problem with this some year ago with skins gambling sites and thats only cosmetic not even p2w model and just changed few words and now can sue anyone who uses word gambling in ingame chat

Hahahahahahahahaha.  You are about to be suprised, Companies need to take responsibility too (Companies are people too, remember?).  Just because you and I are adults and don't have a issue doesn't negate the fact that a issue exists. It is Gambling at its core and there are people out there with addictive personalities that cannot help themselves.  Soon at least, hopefully it will be defined as Gambling, if Belgium and many others succeed in starting this off.  Selling games with Gambling or Psudo-Gambling that can target the vulnerable and those that have willpower issues in general is predatory and shady especially when you realize that Teenagers and Kids can get involved in the crossfire. Yes there is a element of responsibility on the parent's part but not every kid is a saint, or smart enough in the dirty ways of business and will get mommy or daddy one way or another to give up the debit/credit card info for a game or even for the Micro-Transactions.  It's not Over-hyped, It needs to be stronger, it was reaching a fever-pitch because of how Companies like Warner and EA were pushing and pushing, sacrificing content for taking YOUR money.

You don't see how the gaming industry in general is going, but many others do especially on the mobile market.  While some people insist on playing the "Blame the person not the company for getting their foot caught in the bear trap" card, I refuse to.  If a Game wants money up front, then they have NO moral standing for charging money in the predatory way EA or Warnerbrothers wants, currently they legally can do this... for now..  The reason why Warframe isn't going to receive much if any heat from this is because the developers are awesome PEOPLE, we see them we know (at least what we see in public) of them.  They treat their players like players, not payers and appear to have a passion for the game.

True, true they have the Card Packs but... I almost forgot about them.  DE is doing Free-to-play Correctly, especially because they don't charge up-front for access to the game. I know several people who are up to where I am or even farther than myself yet I have absolutely no regret for every dime, nickle and penny I spent here.  Probably because I get tangible results from my purchase and more respect for what my dollar means in translation to platinum (when I get sales or Prime Access :P).  Yet when I am put face-to-face with a game like Battlefront II?  It's a nightmare.  Someone did the calculations but you'd have to spend 2,000$+ To get Most of the stuff unlocked in the game because RNG.  With Warframe?  I've spent around 2,500$ over my FOUR years.  This game wants you to spend about that much within the first month with what LITTLE and LIMITED content they provide.

The reason why some of us are all up in arms about this (or should be) is because with how Warnerbrothers, EA and other predatory companies insist on doing this as egregiously as they are its hurting the gaming industry and may even lead to legislation stepping in (which we DON'T want, but currently ironically need).

  15. This has been discussed in way more depth than here, but I will reiterate the general idea of why this isn't that helpful and actually limiting in the long run.  You remove those "Mandatory" mods and front-load them into the guns themselves... You remove things like Serration, or Flow and build them into the Frames you still devalue Endo and remove a sense of progression.  People keep on saying "Mandatory" as if there were a plethora of choices out there.  There isn't.  What are we going to use? Warm Coat?  Instead of "Tossing out" the mods that are very useful why not make the useless mods more useful?  If someone wants to use Niche mods, they can.  Mandatory means you are unable to do anything else (Mandated).

Tossing Serration out and implementing it into ALL the weaponry we have for example will not solve the issues this game will have from the removal of that mod when ultimately a vast majority (barring a few) of the alternative choices are impotent to a hilarious degree.

Having dropped no small amount of time and dollars on Tennogen cosmetics, I've been growing increasingly agitated at the thought that, someday, somehow, for some reason or another, Warframe might just shut down. All the investments, both physical and mental, and the hours dedicated toward a sustained virtual reality, simply goes poof.

Have you ever had this thought? How do you feel about it?

I feel like, in the worst case scenario of this game NOT being available anymore...  that I'd feel sad, but I have gotten what I personally feel is my moneys worth.  I'm happy with the game and while I hope it continues on for years to come and am willing to support it because the developers seem very inviting... if it were to go down well, life moves on (unfortunately).
