  1. After playing Dante a bit more... He feels like Kubrow S#&$. You mean to tell me at base, he only gives like, 200 overguard on his 2? For 25 energy, you only give 200 overguard? The actual hell? I can get more overguard on RHINO than I can Dante. Even if Dante gives overguard to everyone, that's still no excuse for the cost to gains. The ONLY WAY this makes any damn sense is if I'm with 3 Khoras who all have Venari and a pet active, so in theory I'm giving out 2.2k total overguard, which is just BARELY more than Rhinos 1.9k self overguard.

His 3 barely hits any damn thing. You crouch behind a CHAIR and suddenly you can't hit anything beyond what's directly in your face. That is pathetic. The damage wasn't even that great to begin with, so why the line of sight? There are plenty of nukers, both ability and weapons platform, that can do Dante's job better for less. Mirage, Gauss, Mesa, even Gyre post "fix".

Wordwarden, and Noctua by extension, is still S#&$. Until it can use your Invocations and Canticles, it will forever BE S#&$. Who cares about a single target turret that deals 50% of it's damage, when it's easier to buff up and one shot with nearly any weapon? Noctua doesn't even do good damage for it's costs either. Who cares if it can hit 4 enemies? My Nukor does the same thing, whoopdie do.

Pageflight is the only good ability Dante has anymore, and even then it's meh. Not increasing status damage is whatever I suppose, at least it can act as a distraction to help make up for the paper thin survivability stats Dante has.

I'm heading back to Helldivers until there's new content that's worth playing and DE learns how to properly nerf things.

  2. And just like that, it's Styanax all over again. Dante wasn't automating any part of the game, no idea what the hell you guys are on about with that. What to know a frame that automates gameplay that would fit your definition of "automation"? Mesa. Press 4 to win. Dante doesn't do that. You need at least two other buttons before his 4 can even do anything. Just to give some inclination as to how stupid this argument is, Peacemakers have a 25 energy cost and 9.68 energy drain at base. Dante requires two casts of either 2 or 3, both of which cost 25 energy at base, then his 4 costs 50 energy at base. So Peacemakers right now can be used for 7 seconds. For 7 seconds, you can kill everything within a cone of sight. Dante's Tragedy is heavily bugged, so half the time stuff RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU don't take damage because... Derf Anyo decided to give every single enemy a void barrier that can't be seen?

And how about overguard? Well, because DR doesn't affect overguard like it does with overshield, overguard is much easier to take out. This wouldn't be an issue normally, but Dante has low survivability stats as his whole gimmick was suppose to rely on overguard. In total, Dante has an EHP (Effective Health Pool) of 819. Let's compare that to a few other frames that are "casters" shall we? Lavos has an EPH of 2775, Ember has an EPH of 907, and Gyre has an EPH of 1248. Dante can only "outtank" when it comes down to the really squishy frames like Mirage and Nova, who both have a way to reduce damage.

Finally, what about fun factor? The concept of loading up on "Verses" to "recite" a poem or such is quite enjoyable, but it doesn't really add anything new. Outside of Wordward and Pageflight, Dante doesn't really have any unique skills. Both Triumph and Tragedy are just beefed up Light and Dark Verses, so really Dante only has 5 unique skills. Compared to Equinox, the first frame that had this "dynamic skill kit", Dante is one note. With Equinox, you're applying shields and armor, cc or debuff, DR or increased damage, and healing or slash nuke. So what we have, is basically Equinox after it's two halves combined, got old, grew a beard, and had to return to the frontlines because "these new kids don't know how to fight a war anymore".

I would heavily suggest looking at the nerfs again. The only reason Dante is strong is because most people don't go to level cap. When you go to level cap, Dante struggles, simple as that. He can't nuke as effectively, overguard isn't as good as shield gating, and he lacks the general team buffs, armor strips, and cc that make him a worthwhile team pick compared to Gauss, Chroma, Octavia, Revenant, Ash, and the likes. Dante did need nerfs, but this wasn't how you do it. I'd recommend reverting all changes, then adding a short cooldown timer to each Final Verse, so it promotes players casting more than just 3/3/4, then removing the overguard regen so players have to recast 2/2/4 more often. Beyond that, nothing else was really needed, unless in exchange you buffed. Decreased costs, increased survivability stats, increased damage values, stuff like that if you want these nerfs to stick around.

  3. While in Grendels 4th ability, I'm sometimes unable to cancel the power, use other powers, or jump until I either run out of energy, go off the map, or respawn. The UI on Feast says I have 1 enemy in my stomach.

While trying to level up Garuda, I'm sometimes unable to sprint, roll, or jump until I go off the map, or respawn.

I'm not sure what is causing these issues. I don't know how these two issues connect. I noticed the Grendel issue while running Survival on an infested corpus ship tileset, and I noticed the Garuda issue while running on Hydron.

You really can't - it's bugged and does a fraction of the damage it should.

Yeah, I have a surprising number of weapons with 6+ forma. I'm on X1, we don't even have the Gauss buffs yet.

Those weapons aren't going to be able to even use the exilus - 2 more forma is only going to free up about 6-8 points, but will lock down the build completely.

They aren't useless, they just don't compete against more damage. I have a lot of (like more than 10) weapons with 6 or more forma that will benefit from clip, ammo pool, ammo mutation or projectile speed.

Everything would benefit from reload speed, as DE still think Dark Sector's cover shooter reloads are a practical thing.

I think the Kuva Drakgoon even has a dedicated mod that works in the exilus slot.

    Not so sure.

I'm MR27, X1 is months behind and I'm holding pattern, so I recently went back to Destiny 2. It is hugely improved by Activision-Blizzard being kicked out, but the grind still isn't worth anything. You still dismantle 99% of everything that drops, play missions over and over for the tiny chance of a dice-roll exotic and there's still a spawn cave people shoot at all day to get drops. Meanwhile modding is a few toggle switches and grinding for imperceptible upgrades.

Looter games are hard to get right, never mind perfect.

I don't think anyone's doing it miles better. DE could definitely learn from Destiny's new light starting point and precision damage (bows and hand cannons are top tier thanks to satisfying high damage headshots).

On the whole I think Warframe is still way better.

Not under dispute. But more Viral isn't always good. For max damage (and getting as far into Arbitrations, Endless and the like as you can) you want 1 viral proc every few seconds, and all the other procs to be Slash. 10 slash and 1 viral does a lot more damage than 10 viral and 1 slash.

Personally, when I get an innate D polarity I find I have to reforma it.

5 forma seems reasonable, if grindy, for high end weapons. To me. IMHO.

Dude you get wayy more time to play each day than I do. I play 1-2 hours most days. Yeah, if you want all the Kuva weapons maxed in a week you're going to struggle with forma.

That first player to reach (already reached) MR28 will have spend a fair bit of plat on forma.

Again, personally, it will take me a few months, and so will the forma.

DE had a choice: Liches are intended to be endgame, they either needed to be actually hard (as in real difficulty, where you lose progress and try again for something that takes hours) or serious grind (as in RNG around time-gates around RNG). They went with the latter.

Yeah, there are lots of bugs in this game. Last I checked, projectile weapons weren't dealing damage for some reason, and none of Ivaras powers were working. One would think after 2 years and some amount of months, an update like the Kingpin system would've been polished before release.

To each their own on these Exilus I guess. I never found use in them. Would rather spend less ammo killing something than the ability to refresh my reserves after emptying an entire mag into a sponge. Or use Ivara instead of Hush. Or use Sonicor for specific situations than everything under the sun.

Yeah, I too dismantle basically everything. If it's not Rampage, High-Impact Reserves, specific barrels and mags, it's being trashed for the shards. But there are still worthwhile grinds. Some weapons are under Y1 and can't be modded, while another weapon of similar RPM can be since it's Y2 or Y3. Stuff like that. And of course there are the Exotics. But I bring those games up because they give you power so you can take on more powerful things.

Anyways, speaking of D2, I kind of wish the Lich system copied the Menagerie system. Slot 1 will determine if you get a Primary, Secondary, Melee, or Archgun. Slot 2 will determine the type of gun, like Shotgun, Launcher, Pistol, etc. Slot 3 will determine the damage bonuses, like Radiation, Impact, Heat, etc. It would remove alot of grinding for sure. Sure, you may still get duplicates of the Karak, but at least you can keep farming for the weapons in the Primary category without worrying about getting a Brakk or whatever.

  5. 8 hours ago, (XB1)KayAitch said:

Sure, I could too. Nobody is refuting "some", but you said "most". The majority (not all, not even close) have no innate polarity or require forma to build.

Yeah, some have multiple innate polarities, and some take other rare resources to build (like the Acceltra needing Hexanon).

The Kohm is an amazing MR5 weapon, the Kuva Kohm is MR13 - they're aimed at different levels of players.

Yeah, you need a ton of forma for these new, extremely hard to get, strongest weapons in the game. However, it's comparable to the amount of forma you've put on any endgame-ish weapon. My Arca Plasmor has 3 and will need a 4th to use the Exilus, one more for a Kuva Kohm is fine at this level.

I think where it's painful is the less useful weapons like Kuva Karak. There it is grind, but no more than, say, grinding all 4 K-drives or every type of Kubrow was.

    It's Warframe, it's grindy.

Yeah, on a casual weapon any additional damage is good. It'll mash star chart content for you just fine.

Personally though I can't leave that - Viral at the top of my procs is useless when I need lots of Slash, fewer (but still lots) of Corrosive and 1 Viral every 5 seconds or so.

Outside of some anti-Eidolon weapons I think a D is always a polarity I have to undo.

I think these weapons are aimed at late-game players: MR20+, looking at 120+ enemies. Anything that's a challenge for them is going to be painful grind for newer players, but that's fine.

5 forma? Meh, not great but about par at this level. I don't think they should make that easier for newer players, there's little enough left for me to do as it is.

1: I said most because most do when you account for the MR10+ weapons, or even some of the Dojo weapons. Yes, there are weapons that don't have an innate polarity, but these weapons aren't meant for vets. Like you said, there are some weapons aimed at the MR20+ who do Lv 120s. The Soma Prime, which DE has gone on record to state on livestream, was meant to be a weapon that anyone can use. It's not great, but it's not garbage. But weapons like Opticor or Arca Plasmor are weapons that are powerful and have specific uses. Are they used for everything? Yeah, because the uses these weapons are meant to fulfill aren't being implemented in meaningful ways. You could use the Opticor to kill Eidolons, but it works just as well killing Alad V for the Nonillionth time. You could use the Arca Plasmor to deal with Arbitration drones hiding behind a bunch of invul enemies, but it also works for speed running a basic mission.

2: Before we got Weapon Exilus, would you have needed the 4th? And outside of a mutation or projectile speed Exilus, what is there to use? It's nice to have the option to slap these normally useless mods onto our weapons, but in most cases they aren't needed. Arca Plasmor and Catchmoon need the speed one, great. What about the Tonkor? Opticor? Boltor? Euphona Prime? Before this update, the ONLY weapons I used a mutation or speed mod for was the Sonicor. I either used Carrier for ammo case, or I used all 3 of my weapons in mission.

3: The weapons aren't hard to get. Day 1 I burned through around 7 Liches trying to get a Tonkor. These weapons are RNG drops, nothing more or less. There's no challenge there. If I really wanted to, I could grind out every single Kuva weapon before this week ends. I don't feel like bashing my head against the wall for that long though. I've gotten burned out on this game so many times, I can guarantee that would do it.

4: Yes, Warframe needs a name change to Grindframe. But when you look at other games, like World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy 14, Destiny 2, Archeage, and various other MMOs, they make the grind WORTH something. They give us raids, which aren't limited to once a day, and the rewards from those raids are actually good. Warframe gives us a giant meat shield that drops Arcanes that helps us kill more enemies we're already too powerful for. These Arcanes don't help us with raids, because we don't have those anymore. And even if they did help us with raids, they would only be once a day things. They don't help us with sorties, because they don't have any special enemies or require special tactics. And even if they did help us with sorties, they are only once a day things.

5: I'm MR27, with nothing to do. I could easily take an unranked, unmodified frame and weapon through the star chart solo and crush it on the large majority of things. Only "issues" would be the bosses with more invul phases I care to deal with. But my original point still stands regardless. Viral+Slash kills things, and quickly. Soma Prime with Hunter Munition and Viral. Plenty of killing power right there.

This isn't true. Most Primes do, part of the perks of it being a Prime, but the vast majority of weapons either don't have any innate polarities, or have one but also require a forma to build.

If you used a forma to build the weapon that innate polarity isn't free. Unless it's a V it's probably not the polarity you want anyway - I have several where I needed an extra forma to undo an innate D I can't use (it's either plain Cold or a pathetic status boost).

Yeah, but that's the Pyrana Prime - there's lots of reasons that it's good and has a really low Riven disposition. Excellent innate polarities is one of them.

Acceltra has a Dash. Burston has a V. Nagantaka has a V. Three quick examples I know that don't require a Forma to build or are variations. If I really wanted to find more, I'm sure I could, I just chose these at random from the Wiki. And even if we go with the whole "It costs a Forma" angle with Dojo weapons, the Arca Plasmor, another weapon I picked at random, has 2 Vs, not 1 V, thus making the Forma basically free. If we want to compare weapon to weapon, Kuva Kohm has no polarities, while the normal one has a D. Both Karaks have a V. Boltor has a D, Prime has a V and D.

And I already addressed the fact we might have to change polarities. But the point still remains the same. Maybe I can't build Corrosive, but I can go Viral until I can get rid of the D.

  7. 2 hours ago, (XB1)KayAitch said:

They do, you can stack them full of Prime mods, add a Riven, and add an Exilius. That's huge. The average riven+prime mods build is already 5-6 forma before trying to fix an Exilius, and has no flexibility at all (I mean, if you want to add Cold that means a D that's only always going to be Cold).🙂

That's NOT a bonus. Most weapons have innate polarities, which saves us Forma. For example, the Pyrana Prime comes with 2 V slots, which means I only need 3 Forma to fit on my Amalgam, both crit primes, hornet strike, a riven, with 24 capacity left over. That's THREE Forma, not FIVE. If I want to add on an Exilus, I could just use a FOURTH to get the capacity needed. That's still an entire Forma cheaper. The Chakkhurr I have is only 2 Forma and I already have enough capacity to fit on basically everything I need for it. Maybe I use a third to add on Zoom or some garbage to fill the Exilus slot. Most of us have hundreds of Forma saved up, and players like Rahetalis use up dozens, if not hundreds, or even thousands now, of Forma on their stuff. Rank 40 weapons go up to 80 capacity with a potato installed. Not everyone is going to use a riven, or prime mods. I have this stuff, so I use them. Nothing to use my endgame gear against granted, but I still use them. But joe blow might not want to mortgage his car to buy a Tonkor riven. Or maybe he doesn't like the Tonkor. Do you honestly expect him to waste Forma for the sake of wasting it? Rahetalis loves to waste Forma, but joe blow might not.

Now look at the Paracisis. At rank 40, it has a special passive that deals with Sentient enemies. There's a REASON to get it to rank 40 beyond mastery fodder. Kuva weapons have NO REASON. Once you put 3, maybe 4 Forma into one of the weapons, you don't need anymore, unless you need to burn a Forma getting rid of a crap exilus polarity (Seriously DE, why not make them blank? Warframe Exilus slots are blank). My Tonkor was exactly like that. I had to burn my fifth Forma to correct the Exilus slot. Had it been blank, I could've saved it for another weapon.

  8. Remember, Paracesis has this function too. But at least that weapon had a reason to put 5 Forma in it, namely the innate bonus against Sentients per rank. I feel like these Kuva weapons should have a bonus similarly. Maybe each rank will allow it to deal more damage against Grineer enemies, or at least against the Kuva based variants? What DE seemed to forget is that for each rank gear get, the gear gets 1 to 2 capacity, At 5 Forma, with maxed out Prime mods, a maxed out Riven, an Exilus, and 5 blank slots, my Tonkor has 3 capacity left over, which may not sound like a lot, but I could easily replace both 90% elementals with the 60% versions to save 8 capacity.

  9. Yes, dupe weapons need addressing. I'm all for taking my time and such, but the grind isn't worth it. Let's say you want the Kuva Ogris, so you make your Lich, but it doesn't have the Ogris. Now you have to burn through it to get a new Lich. And if that Lich doesn't have the Ogris you want, you have to burn through it as well. What people seem to forget is that the new Parazon mods only have 3 uses each, and once those uses are up you have to farm a new Parazon mod. Let's say you make 3 Liches, each requiring Vome and none of them have the Ogris. Vome only comes from Relic II, and each relic has 2 mods so you may not get Vome as your reward. The Relics also only come from Floods and Siphons, with Floods the only 100% chance to get a Relic, and there's only 1 Flood each cycle. So you're having to use up your Parazon mods to get rid of the useless Lich, using up Relics on a 50/50, and wasting time waiting for Floods and Siphons to spawn to farm more Relics, which lets you farm more Parazons, which lets you farm more Liches. That's way too many layers of farming.

I know DE talked about the ability to trade Liches with your clan, hopefully they make that a reality, or at the very least make the weapons tradable.

  10. Grendel needs some massive buffs... And I don't mean upgrading to the all you can eat buffet either.

First, why does his 1 need to vomit up enemies, when his 3 does that already?

Second, why does his 2 need to have random buffs?

Third, why does his 3 have like no damage or utility?

Fourth, why is his 4 so weak and useless?

Fifth, if 2-4 require his 1 to activate, why not make them synergize more?

I'd suggest changing his hold 1 from vomitting to a small self heal based on the amount of enemies in his stomach. Something like 5 health per enemy. I don't really think having 10 enemies in your stomach to heal 50 health would be worth it, but it would be better than what it is now. I'd also make his 2 give buffs based on the amount of enemies in his stomach. Something like 3 enemies gives buff A, 6 enemies will give buffs A and B, 9+ enemies will give buffs A, B, and C, that way you're rewarded for eating more than one enemy. I'd also make his 3 leave a bile patch on impact, that way his 3 can have more utility and be used for more than yeeting enemies off the map. His 4, I've no idea how to make it decent. Right now it's just a meme. Maybe instead of a meatball of moderate annoyance, it could be a stomp similar to Rhinos, but instead of suspending stuff in the air Grendel could knock enemies over and open them up to ground finishers?

  11. Well, DE only has around 25 or so hours to get this update out. Considering everything thats happened already *coughcoughroadmapcough* I wouldn't be surprised if the release date is pused back yet again.

To those annoyed at all the demanding and complaining, remember that this game hasn't received content in at least 6 months, and many would argue we haven't had meaningful content in about a year or longer. We want to shoot Grineer, not play a space themed version of IMVU or Google Chat.

Traditional is fine, but to play devil's advocate ~ You shouldn't have built up hype for a maybe last week release when you clearly were not ready, then keep your audience waiting over an extended weekend to this news. It's not anticipation, it's annoyance that much of the community is feeling.

I say this as I'm losing Clan members to Elder Scrolls Online and others just due to endgame lack of content and frustration.

I want Wisp as much as the next person, but to play... Uh... god's advocate? angel's advocate? Whatever, just to counter your point, hype is built up over time. Like with ESO, Elsweyr and Necromancer are being hyped up and this expansion isn't even released yet. Super Smash Ultimate built hype up for Joker months before he was released. Hype isn't something that just happens. Fighters hype themselves up the locker room, not the moment they're about to throw down. Yes, it should be released if it's ready, but only if there is a team ready to fix any bugs and glitches that slipped through the cracks. What good is releasing product when you can't monitor how it's been receipted? It will come when it comes. For now, follow your mates over to ESO for some raids or CP grinding. Heck, I've been doing some ESO myself, getting prepared for Necromancer, leveling up spirits on Smash Ultimate, going through rounds of Enter the Gungeon, and even revisiting Airmech (The game that actually introduced me to Warframe during the 2014 MMOBOMB Ultimate F2P Showdown). DE has said Warframe is a game you quit and come back to. Like many here, I take umbrage with that because Warframe shouldn't be a game I log into once or twice a month or once every few months, or a game that lacks content compared to other games, but I see why DE wants this game to be like that. It's a passion project. It was the little darling that could. And when you burn away the hours, you burn away that passion as well. And I'd rather DE keep that passion burning bright. I'd like it if DE would do major releases like Fortuna or Gas City Rework once every 1 to 2 months of course, but they might not have the man power to do so.

Either way its going to be a buggy mess, rather have it now so we can have wisp.

Buggy either way? Yes. But it would be better to have the team available when something DOES go wrong, than to wait 3 to 4 days while parts of the game are potentially unplayable. No good in having Wisp now if you can't play her without the game crashing after every mission, right?

It does suck it did get DElayed, but I understand. And honestly, I'm not too mad about it. Gives me more time for the daily tributes to grace me with a 40% or higher discount. And I can continue hunting the shiny Celebi in Pokemon Crystal, or learn new tricks for Joker in Smash Ultimate. Having different games to play is a great thing to have.

  15. Got this bug as well. Don't know if I was awarded points for Nightwave the first time, but I finished the challenge a second time to see what happens. The second time no points were awarded for Nightwave, and challenge remains marked uncompleted.

  16. For someone like me, Nightwave doesn't offer much to begin with. I don't really need anything from the store, so Wolf Cred means little to me. I got enough Slots and Forma, so those don't matter much either. The main things on the Tiers are exclusive cosmetics, exclusive mods, exclusive items. 1, 2, and 5 are good, but then it slows down, 9, 10, 13 and 14. In total, 14 of the 30 items are useless to me. Now, for a newer player these rewards might be great. They get that Heat Dagger for Mastery, some quick and easy Forma to power their gear up, slots to buy more stuff, whatever. But even for newer players this poses a problem. What if you need Energy Siphon? The store rotates every 7 days, so that means you have to wait a week for another chance at the store having Energy Siphon, and if it isn't up for sell, too bad. The amount of Wolf Cred offered is pretty low too. You get 300 total, meaning if you enjoy Vauban, you need to pay 60 Creds for the Nitain, then 75 for an Orokin Reactor, which leaves you with 165 Creds. The Saturn Six Ornament might be a Season 1 exclusive, and being a collector, you'll want to pick that up for the 40 Creds. Can't forget about the Armistice Helm for 35 Creds. Now you're down to 90 Creds, just off of 4 items and you still haven't bought a single Aura Mod.

Having seasons also means new players miss out on certain things. Need I bring up Primed Chamber as an example? Players who join in a year see you shooting off your Grakata really fast and ask "Hey, how are you shooting your gun so quickly?" and you reply with "It's a special mod called Wild Frenzy". They ask "How do I get this mod?" and you reply with "You can't anymore". Now that new player might not even want to try out the Grakata. What could've been a really fun weapon for this new player to use is now shelved because what they wanted to do isn't possible anymore. Not just that, but for people who can't log in every day are now behind as well. To give you a personal example, this past February my home was burglarized and my computer was stolen. For just over a week I didn't have access to Warframe as I waited for my insurance check to come in, and to have the game reinstalled on my new computer. But Nightwave didn't stop because of my personal problem, it just kept on going. A week isn't that long to wait, sure, but what about people who can't log in for say, a month? Maybe they have to attend a funeral, or their home was flooded. Maybe they're just busy with life, attending college, or need to attend a State Sports Conference. Whatever the reason, they can't log in, but Nora don't care, she got other Dreamers to help her.

No, Nightwave needs to only offer Wolf Creds as Tiered rewards, and her shop should include the current rewards for purchase. If I want the Saturn Six Glyph, sell it to me for 75 Creds. If I want an Umbral Forma, sell it to me for 150 Creds. If I want the Heat Dagger, sell it to me for 50 Creds. Make Wolf Creds as rewards every 3 or 4 Tiers or whatever if you have to. But the current Tiers shouldn't be like this.

  17. Solo extracting, as good as it is in concept, has caused me so many problems. Four missions in a row, all four of which I had Smeeta Charm buff on Kuva, the hosts leaves, which causes a host migration, which forced me out of the mission with no rewards. Please, get rid of either. Don't care which. These two things cannot and should not exist at the same time. Four missions, all of which were a waste of time. I play Warframe to play with people, but if I have to solo the game, I'd rather quit and play something else. There are tons of solo games out there, Warframe is co-op. But if I cannot play co-op, what's the point?

  18. The change to Aegis Storm is nice, but not useful and as I'll explain shortly, will be forgotten about in a few hours after release. You need Shields to survive AND cast abilities. Aegis Storm is a channeled drain, now dashing costs shields too? Why don't you change her from "The TechnoChick" frame to "The self-harming" frame instead? That's literally what she does. Nevermind Garuda being that frame, Hildyrn tops her in that department. Let's say dashing requires 25 energy.  You're draining 25 per second to channel, 25 to dash, and 100 per shot with Balefire. Hildryn has 1575 shields at max rank, meaning if you fire Balefire once a second, you have 10.75 seconds to remain in the air. That's not including any damage your shields take from ranged or environment.

As it stands right now, what I do is activate Aegis Storm to crowd control everything, then enter Operator mode to kill everything (No idea if this is intended or not, but at this point it's her only mobility/killing option when Aegis Storm is active), enter Warframe mode, dash to next area, repeat. You giving Aegis Storm a "dash" that costs shields does literally nothing because we have Operators who can, at minimum, void dash 3 times, for basically free since the energy used is tied to the Operator and not the Warframe.

Aegis Storm needs free mobility. Period. As it stands right now, there's literally no reason to even cast this ability with all the elevation differences, yet alone dash in it. If dashing costs anything higher than 0 shields per dash, I'll just stick to Tenno dashing, or simply not activating it at all.

  19. After 10 Forma (Most of which was used to correct mistakes I made), I need to slightly edit my original complaints. My builds are as followed (Duration, Efficiency, Range, Strength)

    155, 130, 160, 179.

    155, 130, 235, 123.

    23, 175, 115, 234.

Balefire: The slow down and no jumping on tap fire needs to be removed for certain. Maybe make the charge shot an alt fire? The charge and explosive range also need a bit of help. That or have the weapon be more focused towards a stat. As it stands, this weapon is geared towards single targets, which will eat up alot of shields, and with all 3 of my builds, lv 80s need 2 shots each, meaning the first and second build drains 140 shields per enemy, third build drains 50 shields per enemy. My radius is 4.8m, 7.05m, and 3.45m respectively. Just to compare, Sonicor has 5m base, and needs no charging. With the same mods equipped, Staticor has a 0.43 charge and 8m blast, while Balefire has 0.86 charge.

Shield Pillage: Needs the line of sight removed. That would make this a perfect ability. Shields are nice and all, but trying to cure an ally of a status becomes a nightmare. The amount of shields you restore on armored enemies is also lacking. If even one person has a corrosive projection on, you'll be dead against lv 80 enemies. And if there aren't any enemies you can see, and a Heavy Gunner or Corpus Sniper is shooting you at range, well, you best pray you can run away to let shields regen naturally.

Haven: Does little damage for the amount of drain per enemy. The fact that this links to anything and everything doesn't help either. Allies, specters, companions, sentinels, enemies, shadow and sand puppets, you name it. 358 damage a second for the first two, 468 for the third. Just to compare, my Ember's 4 does 900 damage, with a 1.65 energy drain a second.

Aegis Storm: Line of sight makes sense, since the crowd control is pretty powerful. But the drain is so high that you can't use Haven while this is active or you'll lose all your shields way too quickly. Not being able to use anything other than Balefire also hurts, since that's more energy lost per shot. If we could use Shield Pillage while inside Aegis Storm, this would be alleviated slightly.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but sometimes when I die, my shields are cut in half. Trying to reproduce the steps to see what's causing it, but it seems like it has to do with the Operator. Like I said, may or may not be a bug, might be something relating to the Operator I don't know about.

Edit: Found the cause, pretty this is a bug. If Hildryn enters a Limbo's Rift, she loses half her shields for the duration of that mission.

She's not "as" bad as I first thought, now that I've landed on two builds that seem to work. But all in all, she's still a one trick pony frame. In normal missions, I just keep Haven up, sometimes using Shield Pillage to restore shields if the enemies are heavily armored/shielded or if the enemies are higher level and don't die right away. In defense missions, I keep Aegis Storm up for crowd control. Rarely bother with Balefire, except for when I was leveling up. And I rarely use Shield Pillage because I can just turn off Haven to restore my shields naturally.

  20. Balefire: Decent weapon, but I wouldn't choose it over an actual weapon. The only reason it's any good is because it "synergies" with Aegis Storm.

Shield Pillage: Almost complete garbage because of the line of sight restriction. This is how she survives, by stealing shields and armor, yet if the enemy is behind cover (Which most enemies are programmed to seek/deploy) then it becomes a paperweight. Removing status is nice, and so far I've only used it as such. But once you get to mid-high game, toxin and slash procs will almost insta-kill you unless you mod for health.

Haven: Drain is too high for what little damage it does to enemies. And considering it links to everything it can see, you'll run out of shields quickly if you aren't using a max Redirection and maxed Primed Vigor. The usefulness of a weapon, warframe, companion, and such shouldn't be dictated by rather or not you have access to an event item or a log-in item. The line of sight is also a huge problem since this is a game about mobility. As soon as you or an ally goes out of range, you're left playing with yourself. This ability completely contradicts itself. If you want to help allies, you need line of sight which opens you up to linking with everything on the map. If you want to deal damage, you want to lose line of sight to keep your energy and not care about your allies.

Aegis Storm: I have no idea what's going on with this ability. It seems as soon as an enemy goes under a hangover, I can't do anything to them, even if I can see them. And enemies who are in the marked zone are completely unaffected by this ability until I'm right on top of them, no matter how much range I add to it.

    Stats -

Armor is completely useless for Hildryn. It doesn't affect the damage your shields take, only your health. Because you have no health, you'd need several thousand armor to survive, and the shield gating gives you enough time to duck and hide to restore shields so your health is never in any "real" danger once your shields go down. I'd honestly rather have 0 armor if it meant higher shield or health total.

Shields are this frames survivability and casting energy. If you lose your shields, a tiny 3 second invincibility won't save you. I would really like to see things like Energy Siphon and Zenurik's Energy Pulse somehow affect her shield recharge time, or how much shields she regains. As of right now, her innate dash Aura, the only decent Auras she has access to is Corrosive Armor (Which hurts her Shield Pillage), Enemy Radar, Mecha Empowered, and Sprint Boost. Hildryn can restore shields on energy orb pickup, and it appears that Arcane Energize restores her shields when it procs, so it shouldn't be hard to work Energy Siphon and Zenurik's Energy Pulse into recovering shields for her.

Health is almost non-existent. If you get hit by a high enough level poison cloud, you're dead before you can cleanse yourself with Shield Pillage. I really wish Quick Thinking and Gladiator Finesse would allow Hildryn to convert damage on health to damage on shields. I don't know how possible this would be, but it would be nice to see that added in, just to deal with shield ignoring status effects. Like I said earlier, shield gating really helps her survive once shields go down.

  21. Just want to make sure I fully understand this before I go messing something up.

1: If I were to migrate my PC account to Switch, can I continue to play the PC version with that same account?

2: If I can use the same account for both PC and Switch, will unreleased items from U24 be saved to the Switch account for later use, or will I need to reacquire everything once the Switch gets U24?
