Would be nice to get an answer on what is going on.

That's pretty much my thing. An announcement on the forum or in game or something to let us know what's going on. I don't mind connection issues; I have a whole plethora of other games I can play. But I'd like to know what the issue is and an ETA to a fix, because I am not starting the Silver Grove quest with the connectivity looking like this.

I didn't even know you could gift them. :O

Yeah, under 'profile icon' you can select an icon, and if you hit square, you can gift it.._

If you go into your menu, (press esc.), click profile, click profile icon, find the Palatine Rhino icon you want to gift him, and there should be a little present box beside the "buy" or "equip" button click that, and you should be good.

On PS4, pressing X equips the icon if you already own it. Hopefully, De will see this and  fix it.

  3. I really like the Palatine Rhino profile icon that I bought, and I wanted to buy one for a friend of mine, but now that I bought it, when I click on it it says "equipped," which is fine, but I now have no way to gift the icon to a friend.

Is there a spot in the marketplace for profile icons?  I thought there was one under "equipment" but for the life of me I cannot find it.  Otherwise, would I have to submit a service ticket, or am I going to have to wait until De patches such a thing in?

    Thanks!

  4. A great AOE weapon is the Sonicor.  It is a magnificent secondary and I use it more often than my primary when it's maxed.  Ivara + Suppressed Sonicor = Solo T2 Survival with invisible ease!

Primaries with good crowd control would be the Amprex, but I think you need to be MR6 for that?  Amprex needs a lot of work (~4 forma and a catalyst) in order to fulfill its maximum potential, but if you put the work into it, you will be VERY happy with it.

Galatine is a magnificent melee weapon with a maxed Fury mod on it.  You can get the Cleaving Whirlwind stance mod for relatively cheap in the trade chat (I'm selling mine for 10p, lol) and then you just lawnmower your enemies into oblivion.

  5. Its only plentiful if you dont use it, im constantly sitting at 0 for example.

Fair enough.  I'm just saying, I usually end up with like 10 forma blueprints when I'm farming for something else.  Usually when I grind for argon crystals, I'll run a T2 survival and wind up all kinds of nice things I wasn't expecting.  At one point I had 4 built forma and something crazy like 10 forma blueprints.  I finally started using my Forma, now I'm down to 4 forma and 2 blueprints.

I still don't think forma are all that uncommon, as far as the end game is concerned, and you don't really need an exilus adapter until the endgame anyway.  I feel my point remains valid.

  6. Aftertouch is what Navigator was called in Dark Sector, you used it on your glaive.

Yeah, force of habit.  It's also called aftertouch in the few other games that have projectile guidance, specifically the Burnout racing series (Burnout 3 in particular) when steering your wreck after you crash, and Heavenly Sword when you were guiding arrows.  I will never not-call it aftertouch, but I understand De calling it Navigator for copyright reasons, or whatever.

And yeah, I put hush on my Vectis Prime and wrecked fools while invisible from miles away.  'Twas glorious.

  7. There isn't a warframe currently that has a power that can bring up downed allies with an ability and giving him back that utility would bring him a more in line with the other frames in my opinion.

Nekros' Soul punch has an augment for that, IIRC

  8. I've seen hate-filled posts.  This is not one of them.  Oberon is my favorite frame (though I've been using Frost and Ivara a lot more for their versatility) and I think you have some good ideas here.  I think renewal should clear all procs upon casting (if it doesn't do so already; last I checked it only does that when you're at full health).

I think Smite is fine as a first ability, but maybe put a puncture proc on the main shot in addition to the fragments?  My Oberon is max level and I have some good mods on it, so I was able to one-shot Phorid (trapped in the corner) with Smite when he spawned on Saturn, but that seemed more like luck than anything else.

I never use Hallowed Ground, so any buffs to this would be good.  I use Hallowed Eruption as a short-range, lower-damage Reckoning.

Reckoning is good as it is, having it stack with Hallowed Ground would give me incentive to put my duration mods back on my Oberon, and it's not a bad idea overall.  I do agree that Oberon scales pretty poorly, and is easily one-shot by corrupted bombards in T4 anything.  Reckoning puts them on the ground, but it doesn't put them IN the ground at higher levels; even the cannon fodder enemies shrug it off at level 40.

Other than what's already been said here, I think Oberon could use a modest armor buff (up to 200 or 225 from 150).

As much as I like Oberon as a concept, and as much as I used him (I think literally 50% of my play time was spent in Oberon).  He's a great team character, but like most Paladin-types, he's rather mediocre compared to other frames.  He can't tank like Rhino, he can't heal like trinity, he lacks Excalibur's damage output.  Unfortunately, as the game has changed around him, his usefulness has kind of been stunted.

  9. It's easy to make a mistake with Limbo.  Even when you're pretty decent with him.  I was doing an excavation mission and forgot that you drop batteries when you enter the rift.  Thus, I stopped putting cataclysms on excavators, and changed my strategy appropriately.  I think steep learning curve is an accurate descriptor for Limbo.  I concur that he's as valuable to rescue missions and survivals as Frost is to defense.  I agree that if your allies "cataclysm" a defense objective, it gets annoying.

I think the main thing that has been said that I agree with is that Communication is key when using Limbo, but if you know how to use him without pissing off everyone else, no one will complain when you res them while rift walking.

  10. I love Ivara!  I got a 3-hour affinity booster as my logon reward last night, as Ivara was coming out of the oven.  Got her to Rank 18 in one night.  Stealth arrows are amazing!  I nerdgasmed when I did her 2+Glaive.  AFTERTOUCH FOR THE GLAIVE, AT LAST!  Stalk is great for defense, because you stay invisible while you melee enemies, as long as you don't dash.

Question: Does stalk stay active if you use a sniper rifle with a silence mod?  I noticed that I stayed invisible when I used the Talons.  I wasn't sure if it was a "noise" factor or a "projectile" factor.

I was having so much fun with zipline arrows, stalk, and aftertouch, that I completely forgot to try her ult!  Ivara is fast becoming my new favorite frame! (First time I've been this giddy since I got Oberon)

Seriously: Zipline Arrows over defense targets + Talons versus Infested = lots of dead infested

  11. The cost of making the goods you want never matches up with how much plat it costs in the market.  When you consider the time and resources to research and build Itzal, for example, it's a steal at 375 plat.  When you consider that 375 plat is like $20, and building her is free, suddenly the cost of materials doesn't matter quite so much.

Forma are plentiful anyway, there's really no reason to complain.

  12. In sum: you have a better chance of Argon Crystals dropping by doing "endless" mission types: Defense, Survival, and Interception, than other mission types (Capture, Exterminate, Sabotage).

If you are able to do T4 missions with a good squad, Vor has a chance to drop an Argon Crystal too.  In my experience, Exterminate is one of the worst missions to farm for Argon because of the limited number of enemies.  For this reason, I am running out of T1 Survival keys...lol

  13. I would like to petition De to put the Ivara blueprint in the Market.  It and the helmet drop at the same difficulty, so why make the RNG that much more unbearable?  It's possible I'll get the BP & helmet in the same run from two separate vaults, but the odds are very much NOT in my favor.

Also: Ceres and Pluto spy missions should not be dropping 1500 credit caches.  There shouldn't be any credits caches at all, but if there HAS to be, it should be at least 10x that amount for Ceres and Pluto.

  14. I haven't noticed an FPS drop on PS4. Did they fix it on consoles?  I've been farming for Ivara, and I agree that if the Intruder mod slowed that cursor down in the Grineer hacking, I would probably use it.  Like, if it slowed the cursor down for Grineer hacking and gave more time for Corpus hacking, that would be ideal.

I haven't tried the spy sortie yet, but I will NEVER do defense or interception again. Even after all the optimization they did on PS4, by the time the enemies hit level 80-100, my frame rate sank into the single digits. It was the worst Warframe slideshow I ever participated in, lol.

  15. I got the Ivara systems twice from the spy mission on Mercury.

Are her different parts difficulty- or faction-specific? For example: Easy grineer is systems, easy corpus is bp, medium grineer is helmet, etc?

I don't mind grinding for Ivara, I just want to do so effectively.

    Thanks!

  16. Just a friendly question, and tile-set suggestion for the De art team.

Are there any plans to change the look of Pluto on the star chart so it looks more like what was revealed by New Horizons? (with the "heart" and everything)

Also: I learned that there are or were "cryo volcanoes" on Pluto.  I know each planet should eventually get its own tile set, but I hope you guys will look at the recent discoveries on Pluto, and take them into consideration if/when you design new tiles for that planet.

    Thanks for reading!

  17. Tonkor is the launcher your talking about. as for how Penta fires, "Primary fire" to shoot the nade, "secondary fire" to detonate. this is what allows you to lob out up to 5 nades at once to set up a killzone. as for allowing Tonkor and other launchers the ability to detonate whenever,...the fact that missing shots can screw you is the balancing feature of Tonkor.

I can understand your perspective, but if at any time a weapon "screws you" for missing, that's not a balancing feature, that's bad design.  It's a weapon that's designed to shoot explosives, accuracy should ultimately be irrelevant (horseshoes and hand grenades anyone?).  I appreciate that the grenades explode on impact, and shooting them into a crowd of enemies (Infested) is really satisfying, but if you're trying to hit one or two targets at a time, an ability to detonate remotely is a necessity, balanced by the lack of ammo (40), rather than penalizing for accuracy.
