    What Kind Of Umbra Do You Prefer?

    Actually only the assumption about Umbra Excal being stronger is, because this thread is about if you prefered future umbras to be just skins that give mastery, detailed skins that gives mastery or almost different frames with the same thematic.

     

    In the end, these questions won't make a difference, DE won't change their Umbras if they are just like in the video, the same old Excalibur but edgier, but it's 2+2 logic that if they want to bring a new frame that isn't a skin like prisma or proto, they will have to improve it at least a bit to make it worth for the people to buy it. Would you buy Umbra Excalibur if in the end it was just a new skin in a normal Excalibur? i would farm it if i like the appearance, but I'm sure i wouldnt spend platinum to get it (Prime is cool, we still haven't seen what we will get here)

    Well, I'm hoping that it will just be a new skin. Honestly, it makes the most sense to me for Umbra to only be a skin. DE already knows the drop tables are diluted enough, and DE knows that selling a frame for plat only wouldn't go over well with anybody. So, I'm betting they'll just make it a skin like Proto-Excal, and have it be time limited for plat in the market.

    How is it DE's word against ChangYou's? ChangYou's word offers more information than DE's word. DE said that we'd get Umbra Excalibur, Nikana Prime, and Kunai Prime. ChangYou does not contradict that. What ChangYou says is that there is an exclusive Prime version of the Umbra Excalibur that the International players will not get. DE has to now go talk with them to get information on that.

    Not only that, but ChangYou's statement came after DE's statement, pretty much in direct response to it almost as a clarification. Objectively, what ChangYou said should be taken with less of a grain of salt than what Reb said.

     

    That being said, both statements should be taken with as much of a grain of salt as possible until we get the final, official word from DE.

    I think this is an utter betrayal to the founders. The founders that got excal prime dropped a big chunk of cash on a game who's future was uncertain, took a leap of faith so to speak, and now they're going against what they promised and releasing excal prime with a new name?

    What with the lato and skana prime being mediocre, excal prime is the only real tangible and displayable token they recieved for investing in this game years ago. Excal umbra is the last thing they should be coming out with, it'sjust wrong ethically.(And come on the trinity mains have been waiting for years)

    They're pulling a Scholar of the First Sin, and everyone knows how despicable that is.

    Considering how Excal Umbra =/= Excal Prime, this entire post is negligible.

    Will you guys ever consider releasing more primes in between Prime Access packages?

    Reread rebeccas answer, were getting the same thing as chinese got but after 1 month passes(maybe more).

     

     Exactly this. We get it a minimum one month afterwards. 

    Yes, that's what Rebecca said. But it's still up in the air and quite confusing, since the Chinese later said (in direct response to Rebecca's post) that the "Umbra Excal Prime" will stay exclusive to Chinese founders, and that the International version may be getting just an Umbra Excal, which kind of falls in line with what Reb said because she never mentioned us getting an Umbra Excal Prime, only an Umbra Excal.
