  1. Story:

Well... I finally gained the courage to go to college and start on my way to get a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I have pretty severe social anxiety, so actually going to a University with thousands of people--and completely away from family--is a pretty tough deal. I just finished up my first semester! It went better than I could have hoped. I've managed to help out quite a few people while I've been there--which, surprisingly, has also helped me quite a bit with my anxiety. I've also recruited a few fellow tenno! :community:

    Platform: PC

    IGN: LokiBird

    Wishlist:

    Argon Pegamite Decoration

Affinity or Resource BoostersWeapon, Warframe, or Riven Slots

Daybreak, Dojo, Corpus, Fire, Grineer, Ice, Lotus, Smoke, or Storm Color Pallete

Atlas, Baruuk, Gara, Garuda, Harrow, Khora or Octavia (Bundles if you feel super generous... lol )

Mag Pneuma, Mesa Presido, Nekros Irkalla, or Volt Proto Skin (Again, bundles if you feel super generous... )

(Thank you @Alkyas, @Bostich, and @Longeres so very much for your kind gifts! You're all super awesome. Have a wonderful Christmas and Tennobaum!)

On a side note, my younger brother also plays Warframe. I know he never reads the forums, so I'll ask for something for him as well, if that's ok?

    Brother's Platform: PC

    Brother's IGN: tclayt

    Gift list:

(Warframes I know he doesn't have) Atlas, Baruuk, Gara, Garuda, Harrow, Khora, Mesa, Nidus, Octavia

And anything else you'd like to give him. I'm sure he'll be thrilled! He doesn't have very many in-game friends.

(He got one gift, Nidus, so far. It made him very surprised and happy!)

Thank you in advance for anything you gift! It's greatly appreciated! I will always try to send some sort of gift in return if I can!

Happy Tennobaum and a very Merry Christmas to all of you! 😊

  2. Add me to the list mentioned above... lol 🙂 I watched the entire stream, except for the first 5 minutes or so, and still (as of 3:10PM CST, July 8th) have no Ash Prime.

Super awesome stuff coming up! Super hyped! Great job on the Live stream! Wish I could have been there.

  3. Not mine, but found this when I googled "warframe condroc transparent background"

Hope that will help at least a bit. 🙂

  4. I made this Ash sculpture (with removable magnetic Skana) a long time ago, but never posted his 'final' pics. Figured I might as well add them to my random art page. :satisfied:

  5. Final Update:

    Hey guys, it's me again.

I am not going to be able to continue with this project.

All my progress so far... has been destroyed. -sad laugh-

I was already behind schedule, and now...

Anyways. Maybe you'll see me sculpt something else in the future, but for now... I'm a bit depressed.

Thank you for all your interest and encouragement.

    LokiBird out.

  6. Here goes... My inner angst/depression after I played the Apostacy Prologue on Valentine's Day...

    Abandoned.

    Thanks! Like, a lot!

I've dabble in sculpting a bit last year and the fingerprints and accidental pushing is the bane of my sculptings lol

I'll be doing it again later this year for stopmos, really hard to look these kinda stuff up online.. so this helps a ton :community:

Oh, good! Glad to be of help! If there's ever anything else you want to ask about sculpting with polymer clay, feel free to hit me up! I have more knowledge than skill IMO... lol!

I wouldn't have the patience to sculpt that skana... Also, how did you not have any fingerprints? In my case, when i used some lotion to smooth the surfaces, it still has fingeprints (even tho i use almost no pressure)

Thanks! It took me a while... Lol

He actually does have fingerprints on his body and limbs currently.

I usually gently sand the clay, after baking, to remove any remaining fingerprints. The Skana and his helmet have both been sanded after baking. (The rest, limbs and body, have not been baked yet. I bake in stages. Head sculpted and baked first, in this case. Baking in stages is super nice because you don't have to worry about ruining the part you were already finished with!)

If you absolutely have to remove all fingerprints before baking, make sure your clay isn't too soft. If it's too soft, no matter what you do, you will have a hard time. It won't hold its shape, and it will show fingerprints crazy easily. (To make polymer clay less soft: roll the clay out in a 1/8 inch or so sheet and put between two sheets of paper for a while. The paper sucks out some of that extra clay softener. Take the clay out after the paper looks like it has sucked up a good amount, and try kneading it again. Still too soft? Repeat with a fresh set of paper or just use a part of the old paper that isn't saturated, depending on the size of your clay sheet. Too dry/crumbly now? Add a drop of clay softener. Knead that one drop in before adding any more, one drop at a time, or you'll be right back with way too soft clay again!)

If your clay isn't too soft but still has fingerprints, either gently wipe down your sculpture before baking with a damp (with water for very gentle smoothing or rubbing alcohol for more vigorous smoothing) q-tip/cotton ball or you can use a light dusting of cornstarch before you smooth out any part of your sculpture. Note: if you use too much cornstarch, you may have to scrub your sculpture with a toothbrush after baking to remove white residue.

Whoops... Accidentally wrote a tutorial... Lol! Ah, well. Hope it helps!

  9. UPDATE:

Sorry it's been so long! Here are some pics of the current progress on Excalibur. The Helmet has been baked, and I am currently getting the limbs where I want them. The back is nearly complete, though not entirely accurate. From now on, I will probably sacrifice some accuracy for speed. The Skana he wields is also baked.

    The current pieces:

The pieces (loosely) put together to see, a bit more, how it will look:

  10. UPDATE:

Current progress on Chibi Excalibur-- Helmet closer to 85% done, as of this posting. The back is not done, but both sides are approaching completion.

    Left side:

    Right side:

Current body/pose progress-- Gradually refining... getting the right shapes down. I will soon remove Excalibur's limbs and sculpt them separate from the body before reattaching them later. (That sounded better in my head... lol!) The... uh... dismemberment... will allow me to get more detail in each area without accidentally damaging another area. :crylaugh: (also note that, in the picture below, the clay is still soft, thus the pose is currently a bit droopier than the original. When I bake it, I will ensure that the limbs are correctly positioned. That way, he should be posed correctly.

"Praise the Sun" pose from Dark Souls could be nice, especially if you make the background with her 4th skill dazzling behind.

Good idea! I especially like the part about her 4th ability 'disco ball' in the background! Even if I don't use that exact pose, I will use the 4th ability behind her. I might modify the 'diso ball' effect to look heart-shaped for the whole Valentine's Day feel? Oh, yes. Me likey. :satisfied:

  11. UPDATE: Still alive, still working! Going to post some progress pics for chibi Excalibur soon! As of this posting, his helmet is about 75% done and I have his basic pose shaped. Many, many details still needing to be added.... I am also preparing some swords for his base.

Also, getting ready to start on chibi Mirage as well. Trying to find the best pose and base idea for her, currently. If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment on this page or message me! I read every comment. :satisfied:
