Alternative: Make the relay able to move and do hyperspace. That way, they would never be destroyed by the fomorians which are painfully slow for some reason...

I have to disagree with the corrupted lancer spectre
The Leech Eximi Corrupted Lancers are quite useful in defense. I had one last around wave 25 in ODD when we extracted.

Which works only on low levels fine... but during the last waves of defense or when going into the 30 minutes Survival the Ignis is pretty much getting useless because it doesn't kill the Ancients fast enough and then they are starting to gang up on you.
I did the event with my 3-times forma'd Ignis and I still switched over to something else for the 30 minute survival phase.

The issue is that it's really hard to pinpoint healers when there are many disrupters and especially toxic ancients, especially when being swarmed.

Meh, it's not really a PWE issue. It's a rather disturbing, in my opinion, trend that's showing up in F2P games more and more. More time seems to get spent on ways to MAKE players spend money than to actually make a game where players WANT to spend money. Hell, some games I'd almost swear spend more time trying to figure out how to design content to coerce their players to spend money instead of actually designing content that's worth spending money on.
Well, its Business. You have to make money to survive.
Even if the Game REALLY makes me want to spend money, I won't do it. And alot of other people wont do it either

Why would they send actual useful loyal people into suicide missions if they can just send 2nd-rate thugs occasionally along with some smack talk with the fraction of potential loss resources?

Armor doesn't affect Iron Skin... Nyx one actually gives you ok cc inbetween chaos uses.
NOT Dex Furis just Furis as in a single Furis not even the akimbo variant.
By the time the extra duration kicks in the enemy is usually dead.

Really, the Tenno at the very least should have a small fighting space fleet to protect relays and hit and run grineer vessels the the normal 4 man archwing cant tackle
