i personally think the codex should give you a passive bonus against an enemy that has been fully scanned.
i.e. Fully scanned Lancer
+5% extra damage
OR
higher chance to drop rare mod from table.
But thats just my opinionThat's not a bad idea either. It should only apply when using Helios or a codex scanner of your own. For example, if you scan a heavy gunner, you for the rest of the game are given +5% extra damage.

I don't think you realize how many bugs were in the U14 release. Can you imagine if U14 was released even earlier?
I'm aware, I made a post about this a while ago and the thread was bombarded with people saying we should be glad we waited and people listed countless bugs.

Why thanks for your feedback sir.

The Sony cert has been going on for 6 days. It apparently passed because we are getting the update tomorrow (how else could they promise that?). OP is talking about how it took about a month and a half to send to cert.
Yes this is partly true. I'm just thinking that they MAY have waited a week or so longer just to kind of time up with Diablo to keep players. Regardless, I'm happy we're getting it. Finally.

As you all know (or hopefully know) the Codex stores information pertaining to what you have used, are using, have mastered and shows those with a star or an exp bar underneath to show the progress of the item. What it doesn't do that it could/should?
I believe the Codex could be more useful in a sense of showing what weapons in your foundry, including warframes, etc, that you have mastered already, and have made. One reason for this thinking is so that new players, and experienced players, don't make the mistake of accidentally making the same part/parts or weapons/frames/sentinels that have already been made.
It would be more user friendly, and could help alleviate stress on the tech support so that they have less to worry about with undoing builds for players who mess up. If we want this game to improve, the devil is in the details. The small things can be huge.
Support? Thoughts?

It's just a thought, but thanks for the opinions. I'm not accusing them of anything, just throwing out some information :P

Anyone else think that the current setup is a bit of a waste of space? We already have a tab for what's in progress, but do we really need to see what's in progress in the all tab? For me personally I'd rather see stuff that I can't build yet, especially if you're like me and have up to 6-7 items building at one time. It's just for convenience and clarity purposes and removes a bit of overload in the foundry at a given time.

I was wondering just the other day, if DE could have been stalling the U14 update for console users and for good reason...
Just yesterday, 8/19/2014 Diablo 3 came to the PS4 and surely has pulled from the players of Warframe, steering them away from Warframe for a little while. Having said that, the U14 update comes tomorrow (yeah...we're way behind you PC users), just two days after the release of the new game. With new content and things to do, is this DE's way of fighting to bring back players who are playing Diablo3?
It's just a thought...

Great idea.
Thanks :d

I've always wondered if DE would ever do something to address the names of the warframe that you're using...and today I thought of a way of how they could.
Despite some beliefs that the picture is enough to know which warframe is which, and who is playing who...I think it would be a nice addition to have the name of the warframe next to the players name on the squad menu. This could be beneficial for public games to determine which composition you would like to go, who is playing what, and helping new players get more familiar with different frames.
At the moment, despite the changes to the introduction, you're really just thrown into the game, and are playing with people of all skill levels, frames and as a newcomer, this could be very confusing and agitating.
This wouldn't require a lot of work, it's small details that can be a game changer and deal breaker for all players who try warframe.

I know I'll comeback, this is a great game. I just don't see myself or anyone playing this all the time like DE would like to see.
-
There are days that we all have that we're just sick and tired of Warframe, and as of late I'm experiencing those more often. The only real thing that's keeping me going is to make enough platinum that if I'm to leave for a bit, I can comeback and continue where I left off. One of the biggest reasons I've made this post is for the fact that the PS4 is actually receiving a quality game and one with more play value in Diablo 3. This isn't something I've talked with many people about, just friends who are high mastery and see no value in continuing on any further.
So the question is...will games like Diablo 3 become your new game of choice to play? Is it the time intervals in which we receive updates that make the game so repetitive, or is it something else?

Bump.

I think it would be beneficial and helpful to have that additional slot as you had mentioned.

Thanks for the support :)

I think rather than being dependent upon one individual going to each chest individually, I think it would be nice and an upgrade to the mod to have it as an aura. This would benefit everyone, and actually provide a use to a team and could inspire people to actually look into the crates and open them. A lot of great things can come from these, mods from common to Sanctuary and Guardian, and resources like neural sensors.

With DE announcing that they've sent update 14 to Sony for console users, from the time PC players have had this update, it'll be a month and a day difference. So it begs the question, due to the length in which it's taken DE to get this update to us, are us console users going to be a month behind in the future as well? Will PC users be receiving update 15 within a week or two of us receiving update 14?

Thanks for the feedback Arc :)

Oh it makes sense. And thanks for the support.
-
Oh my God why did you say that.
...?

I still think it's something DE should look into though, I mean what could it hurt?

I personally believe just doing as what I mentioned here https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/284688-identifiable-way-points/#entry3265402 would be more beneficial and realistic. We don't need complexity and sub menus of sub menus. All we need is the ability to see who marked what, and why.
A group up/defend sub menu would be nice, the other stuff isn't needed.
-
Would definitely be nice though the execution would be... troublesome. I mean how do you know which color belongs to who at the start? Personally I'd go for replacing the text "waypoint" with playernames. Of course when it's on an enemy or mod it would still say "enemy" and "module" like usual. Other than that I don't see a good way to indicate who would be who without all having to spam waypoints at the start of a mission.
Colors surrounding the warframes picture would take care of that.

Anyone? Come on...
The Codex Could Be Better...and Here's How.

I really don't think DE could refute any of this, or at least part of it.
