  1. They need more health and should gain benefits from Atlas' armor rating, to give them more durability. They're just so squishy against level 30+ enemies, they die too quickly.

Their AI could also use some improvements if possible, because I noticed they frequently get stuck on map geometry, forcing me to detonate them because they become useless like that. Then I have to pay the energy cost again to re-summon them.

  2. Not just their damage output, their durability is abysmal as well. They die very quickly against enemies that are level 30 and above, even with a high power strength build. Their AI also leaves much to be desired, as they usually run around like headless chickens and get stuck on map geometry, doing nothing until an enemy strolls by and kills them.

  3. So when everyone says atlas is bad and not viable what levels are they talking about? My friend and I (pc buddy as I am ps4) messed around with Atlas builds and made him super tank with some strength and range we were able to fight t4 mobs into the 40s to 50s. For me, that's all I need to be happy. I can't sit in a survival or defense mission for over an hour and not get bored....so can someone tell me what you mean by atlas sucking and not being viable and whatnot?

What they probably mean is that Atlas' abilities are almost completely ineffective in the level range you describe. Some T4 survival runs as well as multiple simulacrum tests support that as well.

I have high power strength build (202% power str), and despite that my 1st ability doesn't do any noticeable damage on lvl 40-50 heavies (on a corrupted heavy gunner you can't even see its effect on the health bar). His 2nd ability crumbles almost immediately, even against only one heavy unit, and the boulder seems to do nothing. Petrify is pretty reliable against weak enemy units, almost useless against any sort of heavy unit because it takes very long to petrify one, to the point where you are likely to take heavy damage or even die before the process is complete, not to mention it slows you to a crawl while in use.

As for his ultimate, they truly are the ultimate disappointment. The Rumblers run around like headless chickens, get stuck on map geometry, are very squishy even with the aforementioned 202% power strength, and do almost no damage. Two Rumblers constantly attacking a lvl 50 Corrupted Gunner for about 30 seconds will manage to take it down to approximately 60% health before expiring. The ability duration will expire before they even bring one heavy unit to half health (more often than not they will die long before that, however).

Atlas needs changes, especially his Rumblers.

  4. The Dread and Soma also suck if you don't take crit mods and quadruple-damage headshots into account.

    OT:

I swear, these threads are composed almost entirely of misinformation.

    - Burst Laser's DPS calculation is a teensy bit more complicated than "damage * fire rate". You're not even taking into account the fact that it's a BURST weapon that has completely different firing mechanics.

    - Deth Rifle has a long windup time on each and every targeted enemy that you're not accounting for.

    - Sweeper calculations are assuming perfect meatshots with no falloff. Good luck achieving that reliably ingame.

    - Again, you're not taking crits or accuracy into account. The Vulklok can reach a >87% crit rate and is quite accurate, meaning quadruple-damage critical headshots for days.

The Diriga doesn't aim for headshots. At least mine doesn't. I never saw it score headshots, it always aims for the torso. So you can forget about "quadruple-damage critical headshots".

  5. Some VERY misleading stuff going on here.

    - Unless something changed without me noticing, Vulklok has 85 base damage, not 40.

    - Burst Pistol's mechanics are a bit more complicated than that. It's not "1.5 shots per second"; burst weapon mechanics are not nearly that simple. The actual fire rate is significantly lower.

    - Deth Machine Rifle has a rather long windup time for each targeted enemy that isn't being accounted for here.

    - You're completely ignoring the fact that the Vulklok is a crit weapon with fantastic accuracy that can nail quadruple-damage headshots from across maps.

The Vulklok can score headshots? My Diriga never scored headshots because it seems it always aims for the torso, never the head.

  6. Ppl used it to damage???

It was my personal radiation procer, why you did it to Vulklok foruns??? It was still the best weapon after the precision change...

    What I gonna use now???

Back again to Kubrows, after months of only kubrows Diriga made me use sentinels again, well time to take Sasha Grey off the stasis...

It's not a viable status proc weapon anymore, the firerate is too slow even with all firerate mods slotted in for it to perform that function.

  7. Yeah Vulkok is 85 damage, not 40.

Its also the only sentinel weapon worth a damn for crit biulds.

Taking into account the high base damage and crit chance/crit multiplier, it's still has approximately half the burst dps of sweeper or deth machine rifle, or one third of the burst dps of a sweeper prime.

You could put in all firerate mods to try to offset the incredibly low rate of fire, but this would require the sacrifice of other damage mods, which would still result in lower overall damage.

  8. Probably not. And the damage and rate of fire nerfs were justified. The accuracy nerf, much less so.

The accuracy nerf will hopefully be reverted, because it's just beyond horrible right now.

  9. Is its proc chance increased for electric procs?  i doubt it.  They probably just overlooked it.

If I make it pure electric damage the status chance stays the same as any other element, at least according to the UI. In any case, it doesn't seem the status chance has actually been increased.

  10. I thought it was increased chance for electric procs only.  Kinda like how Castanas still electric proc even though you are using corrosive or radiation or magnetic.

That is, an innate status effect specific to one element.

I've changed the element on my Vulklok to pure radiation, and it only ever procs radiation, never electric. It doesn't seem to have an innate electric proc chance if the element is changed to something other than electric.

  11. oh well, back to carrier and laser rifle, "heres a sniper" "lets nerf range and accuracy" now its not a sniper, i was excited for a sniper buddy, but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. lets just give it the accuracy of stinger

You wish. My Djinn with his Stinger has better hit rate at 50m than Diriga with Vulklok has at 30m.

  12. Apparently most of the people in this thread so far haven't even tried Djinn recently. Fatal Attraction has been fixed and enemies no longer shoot or attack in any way for the duration.

It essentially completely disables whole groups of enemies now, with no downside whatsoever, other than the moderately long cooldown. Djinn is an excellent CC sentinel now.
