On topic, give us an actual puncture based, stabbing motion spear, not just polearms! Else make a stance for polearms that does so.

Bam, chapter 28 is up already with a new chapter title on Post #20, although since my titles are all crap (How generic of a name is 'Origin Stories,' anyway), I'll bet you wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't put it in!
Seriously tho, can you think of a better title for this story?
Major changes to this chapter:
Kat's abilities have not been revealed...sorta. You can read that whole first section with Kat, and then with Kat, and Gregor, and it will be somewhat different from the original.
That's about it, small grammatical/minor detail changes to the rest of the chapter. As per usual, comments and criticism are strongly encouraged.

For this event efficiency builds and body count just makes it trivial. As others have stated, this whole event was spam E and get hit by constant knock-downs because the enemies can't do anything else.
I guess we differ on what cheesing strategies are. My idea was just sitting around with an Ember prime or spamming a single ability without moving. All of those strategies involve at least moving around and using your melee weapon.
And if you wanted to dumb it down, sure, that's what melee is about, just moving around and pressing the melee button, and I get that's not some people's cup of tea. Past a certain level we all have to admit playing this game is nothing more than just pressing a bunch of buttons at the right moment, but in a way that's still entertaining for us. I had fun tho, and if ya didn't then there were other threads for that sentiment, tho of course you are welcome to post your opinions here.

In regards to the event though, yeah, it's pretty fun, though it gets annoying fast when you're caught in a Scorpion lash chain while being knocked back by seven Rollers as multiple Baliffs charge at you from every angle. I could just use my Atlas, but I've been having a lot more fun with Inaros lately, and it almost seems like Life Strike is disabled for this alert. This isn't too big a problem for Inaros, but I found myself struggling to stay alive as Atlas due to enemies not dropping health orbs and the constant slash procs the Scorpion lashes cause.
I feel that, I was like "breh my swords are sharper than my guns at this point :P

Fans of A Thousand Cuts, gather!
First of all, I wanted to thank DE. Like, a lot. As a sword-alone fanatic, this was a wet-dream, so much better than the glaive-only and the greatsword-only tacalerts. I'M HAVING SO MUCH FUN! Playing around with different builds, weapons and frames and frantically fighting to stay alive, these have been some of the most action packed games I've played on Warframe. The enemies are tough, but they don't warrant straight cheesing--in fact, very few cheesing strategies are viable on these missions, something I appreciate even more! This is a true melee-only mission, and I really, really, REALLY hope you can bring a mode like this back someday!

Hey there Ibro,
Certainly continue, if you're doing this for fun and practice!
Since you've just set everything up, I can't speak much about the plot. The characters you've set up are fairly diverse, although just be careful that with so many characters their personalities, which haven't taken shape yet, aren't too similar to each other. It's nice to have exposition on your characters, and while there is nothing wrong with it, a key concept here is "show, don't tell"--try to reveal these details about the characters through their dialogues and actions, not just straight out giving us their cover letter/resume. A general rule of thumb is that if your purpose of a paragraph is only character exposition and doesn't advance the story, whether in dialogue, or action, or setting description, you might want to change it or merge it with something that does advance the story. Try introducing members as they start speaking, or when one looks to another, etc. So whatever action you'll be having in chapter 1, I would suggest merging it with your descriptions in the prologue.
Apart from that, there are basic word errors that are common with learning a new language. I can try to point out a few of them if you wish, but really something that will help you is reading and rereading your work and you may naturally find a few errors there. I don't know how good of a mastery you have over English, but I think a few rereads should catch some of these errors. The only reason why my work is passably good is because I reread my stories easily 5-6 times before I send it out, actually writing the rough draft probably takes less than a quarter of my "writing" time.

Hi Ibro,
I don't quite understand. Are you saying that the letters in my story are not black and because the background is white, you can't see it? From my side, it looks black to me, but you can also change the theme and background of the website at the bottom of the page, maybe that will help. And then for the second sentence, when you say "mine" what are you referring to?

Off Topic; Every time I run a mission on Titan, Saturn, I think about AoT.
On topic: I think it's fun, I just wish that it was more viable to do melee only with them, somehow. Flying through the air and doing air-attacks are fun but not very efficient.

Update time just in time to say that it hasn't been a month and that I'm taking too damn long! So I've basically remapped out season 3 in it's entirety, so what this means is that I will no longer be pulling plot out of my &#! and everything will happen for a reason now. What this also means is that a few sections of chapters have been added in and some have been removed. If you've noticed, almost the entirety of Season 3 has been removed, and the newly updated chapter 27 is now up for general enjoyment!
The changes to this chapter delve deeper into what happened to Roland during the accident and does more exposition on his character. Aside from that, the other changes are largely quality of life.
Hope you enjoy. and many more to come! The update for chapter 28 will be up next week!

Wanted to get people's opinions on this. As it is, there's very little we can do against them, and this really screws over melee only people. Why not have them be like fire eximi, where they have to engage you and then release their ability after a wind-up, giving you time to take them down? Hell, even make it a wave so you dodge it after they release?
If you want to keep their proc in, I'll let you, but at least give us some way to prevent it.

I didn't get cloned, maybe because I wasn't near the coffin when he respawned.
Awesome fight tho, it my my Artemis bow vs. his super cheap toxic bow and I was even able to end the entire fight with a melee ground slam, so I got my cinematic feel fixing.

I know it ain't the greatest weapon, but the feel of it is great for me. It's just too bad that I'm having trouble trying to get it to kill anything past Neptune in an efficient manner.
Should I go crit? And if I should, should I use to recent event mods? Or just straight damage?

I'm sure you already know about this. I saw one a few days ago and was like "I hope this doesn't get too out of hand" but with half the posts on general's front page being the same guy spamming ads in Korean, it already has.
Really it's somewhat amusing to see the first couple of times, but it's nonetheless irritating, especially since it blocks out the content that people want to see. Hoping for a quick solution to this problem. Apart from that, these new forums are shiny and awesome!

Most aesthetically pleasing stance+weapon? Lacera with defiled snap dragon, corrosive proc let me shred grineer in Ceres up to 50+ minutes, plus that stance can give you so much range and looks damn cool.
Most practical and useful? prisma skana with bright purity and crimson dervish. Solid damage, relatively easy finisher opener to land, plus occasional corrosive proc and heals made this my true champion for the thousand cuts event.
