  1. There should be a simple check box that applies or removes helmet stat changes, problem solved. We don't have enough mod slots anyways if helmet boosts were mods we may as well use the mods themselves and ditch the con. Maybe it's just me but I use helmets because I don't have any room for extra mods (8 slots filled or cost over).

I think you misread how he intended it to be. His idea is that the 'helmet' mod has its own slot and does not give or take mod capacity or energy. However, your idea of a check box is actually a very good one. I might actually like that idea more

  2. so then, you make the Alt helm and get the Mod sets?  or make the helm and have to Find the Mod sets?

then all it becomes is "Yeah I got this helm but So what,I don't have the mods."

    flip side

"the helm came with the mods and now i have to go fishing for them in my Massive Mod collection."

Personally, it seems like more work than it would be worth.

also, what would the effects be set if it can be fused to make stronger?  will the Maxed level Be the same as they are now?

Or will it be a Set static One power level Mod?

again Personally, this seems like a lot of extra Work that just will take more time to set up.

I like how it is now,  Get lucky, earn the Helm.  build it, Use it.

If I don't like its effect, I wont use it.

Again Personally I prefer Function over fashion.  Looks be damned if it can not make me more adequate.

So to this Idea, I'm sorry I would vote no.

I respect your opinion, but I'd like to offer some little arguments here. I'm a huge fan of how good my character looks, so I'd love this idea. As for function, with this idea you can still have function. The thing about the helmets stats is that many of them provide less than desirable stats, and even the ones with desirable stats dont provide enough to make it worthwile (for example excaliburs helmet giving you +25% of your base shields and -5% of your total health- When you get shield and health mods, you'll still be getting only 25 more shields, but the amount of health you use increases. Rhino's helmet is similar) It would be great if we could fuse them order to make their effects worthwile.

As for mod energy cost, since it will have it's own slot (like an aura) it could just cost 0, no matter the fusion level. That way, your aura still gives you space, while your 'normal' mods still take away space. If the 'helmet' mod gave you space, it would just be way too OP, but if it took away space, DE would end up breaking builds just like they did with the aura system. Having a cost of 0 would be perfect (in my opinion, others may differ, which is fine)

but yeah, just a few things to think about... I personally like the idea, but in the end, it works fine the way it is now.

  3. That's right. A planet where all missions are all assassinations (one for each boss), with the last mission being a gauntlet where you fight all the bosses (not at the same time). For the last mission, think of it like a defense mission: you go on an arena-shaped map. You meet Vor there. You beat him and then, you're offered to either leave with a mod/doubled resources/Void keys/Stalker-themed alternate helmets for each frame or go to the next boss, which is randomnized. It will then culminate with the final three: the Stalker, J3-Golem's new form and maybe a Orokin boss, but not before you trying to fend off a legitimate pack of spacedropped Hyenas.

However, you may ask for the Stalker if it's appearence will affect this gauntlet. Maybe, maybe not. Maybe the Stalker will wound/disable a boss just to make a last stand because of how many times you beat him, culminating with you killing him (which will guarantee a drop from one of his weapons, in exchange for him to override a Nightmare mission as a invincible being who already killed everyone), which will cause the wounded boss to retry as part of the Final Three.

And for the Stalker Nightmare override? Simple. Think of it like your horror games. You get in, trying to recover whatever you were sent to snatch, only to see the Grineer/Corpus/Infested occupying the area already killed, with blood stains, arrows shot, malfunctioning doors and all those gimmicks. You have to save the hostage? Don't get your hopes up: chances are, the Stalker already killed him. You must recover an artifact? Go get it and get out ASAP. You must capture someone? Subdue the guy before the Stalker kills him. And did I mention that if he kills you, you automatically fail the mission?

P.S.: If you work for DE, please tell me what you think.

Ooooooohhh... I like the sound of those stalker missions... as for the planet of bosses... it would be a cool idea if we could find a way for it to fit the lore

  4. I really love this idea! Your idea of having more elite troopers lead the fodder into battle reminds me of Halo, where the elites lead the grunts and jackals... and occasionally super intense elites lead the other elites into battle.. +1

  5. Indeed!

I am annoyed with the fact the events emblem are misplaced on ember's shouder:

    Warframe0002.png

I would like the events emblem are symmetrical with the clan emblem. Near the red dot.

This is exactly what led me to make this post... Ember is my girl, and I want her lookin good... PS, what clan are you in? the emblem looks pretty cool

  6. What has changed? Some people have said that bosses no longer drop rares... which I really don't believe. I've noticed salvage and ferrite are easier to farm, and also rubedo and alloy, but my question is this: how exactly have resource drops been altered?

  7. DE can threaten all they want about how every event can be 'failed', but the fact of the matter is, it won't.  It never will.  We have some really dedicated players here and they will always come to the fore and crush the event, all by their lonesome.

When they said every event can be "failed", they didn't mean they were making it harder, it means there will be punishment if we do. Last even if we failed, there would be resource nukes in certain systems. this time around, we dont get the prize at all. and btw... the grineer informer event? yeah, we didn't actually make it all the way...

  8. At least until we get some major rebalancing work done on it.  I am sick and tired of being forced to rush, or end up dying, or if I'm playing a lowbie planet (Which even though with a Rank 27 Rhino, maxed Iron Skin and fully reactored, I can still die on) having to slog through and murder a little more than a Company and a half of respawning soldiers (That's over 300 per mission.)

I easily solo Pluto missions using an Ember... or a Loki... or a Volt... Bro, seriously, if I have any problem with this game, it's that it's too easy! (And the fact that all they're doing to make things harder is increasing their armor thus creating sponges.) As for the bosses... they are currently being reworked. Kril got done, then Vor got done. Now theyre doing the Golem.

  9. I love the new badges and think they're a great addition to the game. Showing off what you've participated in and how much you've done in the game is something everybody loves in a game... However, I've noticed some of them are placed a little funny. Not sure if it's the new idles or a frame specific problem but heres my list:

Rhino: pretty high up on his shoulders... not a big deal

Saryn: really far back. Should be pushed forwards a bit

Ember: Too high and too far forward. With the new idle it's facing straight up and can only be seen from directly above

There are a few other frames where it seems just a little too far back, but not enough to make it look funny. Also, I saw a suggestion in another thread for founders and closed beta badges... That would be pretty cool. Let's see how many people hate the idea though...

  10. So! Moving forward its probably best to make idles a customization choice in the arsenal. What we are thinking is each warframe will share a default idle (the old animation and the one Excalibur currently uses) then provide 2 custom stances for each warframe; a tall one and one that's more compressed maybe theming them as "noble" and "agile"....still trying to work that out.

Why not just give make all current idles options for all current frames? Separating male and female of course... Or would that be too much?

EDIT: nevermind... I realized that would probably be too much... 6 idles to choose from per character is a lot :P

  11. Who uses it for the knockdown recovery part anyway?

I do... :P I mean seriously... who doesn't? 9 energy for 30% duration, or 13 energy for 28%? There's no point in using it if you don't want the recovery. So, sacrificing 4 mod energy and 1 second on abilities that last longer than 20 seconds (If its shorter than its the same as having 30%), in order to get up 40% faster seems to be a great deal to me! But it doesn't seem to work...

  12. "Excalibur Prime" as it is FAILS horribly at its cosmetic design in every aspect of "Cool" and "Awe" when compared to the new and soon to arrive "Frost Prime".

How can you guys allow this to continue?

    1. Fix Excalibur's Helmet so it doesn't look like a freakin Space Duck.

    2. Allow us to paint ALL areas of our Excalibur Primes like we can on Non-Prime Excalibur.

    3. Put some effort in to it seriously.

We as your player base and fans expect not only Excalibur to be re-designed but also to have ALL the "Cool" and Awe's" of the new "Frost Prime" as well as Future Primes to not look like a Space Duck, or a Space Kitten even >.>.

Fix it, Please we implore you.

First off, you're basing this on YOUR opinion of "cool"... I personally like Excalibur Prime's helmet.

Second, I agree. Excalibur has a large area on his back that cannot be colored, and this bugs me a lot... but it's on the not prime version as well... trust me, I got both.

And third... NEVER imply that the Devs are lazy... EVER. They're building a game for you for Pete's sake. They stay up till 1 in the morning making hotfixes and staring at ones and zeros, making animations and so on... seriously. "Put some effort into it?" How dare you.

  13. No. They never damaged three enemies per tick.

You think that ult is bad?

    Say hello to radial disarm?

Don't know what it is? Because no one uses it.

As a crazy Ember fan, I should know that yes it did damage three enemies at once... I didn't notice it go down to one, but it sure felt wrong after awhile... as for radial disarm, today I encountered three people that used it, and to great effect. Let me explain:

Loki is advertised as one that can manipulate the battle field, and he most definitely can... He can cause everyone to attack a certain decoy, he can switch places with and enemy or friend or his decoy, he can disarm everyone in the vacinity. As most people know, he can combine his powers unlike any other frame. He can switch places with his decoy, AND... something not many people know... can create a person magnet...

This is what I saw, and I loved it! Mobile defense on kappa, a loki cast radial disarm to my annoyance, and everyone started charging me with sticks... then he cast decoy and effectively grouped every enemy in one place. (They can only melee, so naturally they all charge the decoy) Its like shooting fish in a barrel, probably one of the more useful ability combos.

So no, radial disarm is not useless, you just need to know how to use it.

  14. Thanks very much for the feedback. I consider the mission conditions to be a little placeholder-y. The key of the idea is the mechanic itself.

One key element with the Dossiers is that once you acquire one for a specific Cell you can build it over and over again. They do have be built from a BP, but the BP isn't consumed when built. The build time/cost exists to add an element of risk (if you fail, you've wasted time/credits).

But the actual dossier BP is yours forever, so you can just build/run again. I think that would make it a bit easier to plan which Cells you want to run.

It would be kind of like if you could run T3 void def once every day for a cost of 15k credits. Less annoying than farming void keys, but still a bit of RNG and grind involved.

    Any thoughts on this?

Still a little skeptic, but yes, a lot better than void keys!

  15. So basicly the Vandal version would give you the most overpowered version, giving you less cast time and a huge amount more damage, where a prime one would say 'You know what, I'm going to screw you over', and increase your cast time with less damage, What?

Adding VFX for each ability for each one of the mods would be extreamly hard, so probably better to stick with the actual stats

    Not cast time, ability duration

  16. Could definitely make better use of the recent holographic badges they've added. A reward for event participation is nice every now and then (because one of those symbols might actually look cool) but we definitely need some variety and a good place to have a Founders or CBT badge.

Mmmmmmmm... founders badge.... :P ahahaha, I'm all about cosmetics!

  17. To be honest, I think it's a stupid idea. Why do I think it's stupid?

It'll cause a small, annoying riot and a miniscule influx of threads filled with complaints. Let's face it, even though the people here who've posted, said they agree, there will be people that'll complain about it. I'm not necessarily against the idea, I just wouldn't embrace it if it came to light.

I haven't noticed anyone complaining about not having the vandal weapons at all ever. Why would people complain about them getting a specific badge? It's just cosmetics for pete's sake! If you're in a clan you get an emblem on your right shoulder. If you were feeling left out and participated in the fomorian event you got a badge for your left shoulder. So even if you're not in a clan, you can have a badge on your shoulder. What's so stupid about giving closed beta testers a badge to signify that? We aren't getting left out, we just don't get that one specific badge. I didn't play during closed beta, and I think this would actually be a pretty cool idea.

Also... small annoying riot? Its a freakin request! The only riot going on are people like you who don't want to see it happen. There are people on this thread who are agreeing and also people who are disagreeing, but you're the only one I saw complaining and rioting.
