  1. I hope everyone at least understands my problem here. I have thousands of hours put into warframe, thus I would like to protect my account. Naturally I follow industry recommended best practices for protecting high value credentials, which is a password manager. I don't know this password and rely on my password manager to give me the password every time I need to log in. This is a painful but acceptable login process on PC as I can just copy and paste from my password manager on my other monitor. The same cannot be said about the login process on Steam Deck. I'm not sure if Digital Extremes has put any thought into this, but what would be the downside of allowing the "saving" of your login? Other apps accomplish this easily and without a problem. I'm not talking about storing a hashed password on disk here either, just generating an expiring token (maybe 90 days) that sits on disk and allows you to log in. I would even be fine with usage of this token being source IP restricted. I've seen counter arguments saying that a stolen PC (or stolen token in this case) would result in a compromised account, but the source IP restriction I feel like is an acceptable control for this risk. I personally FDE all of my drives and have strong passwords for user account logins which functions as an extra control for me specifically (minus Steam Deck I guess.) Full disclosure: I am not a videogame developer. This is the equivalent of a dad yelling at the umpire at a baseball game. Just throwing this out there in the hopes I can get someone to at least look at this and tell me why i'm wrong/why this isn't technically feasible.
