  1. Very Disappointed with DE. I started playing this game in April and I convinced 6 close friends to play this game. 5 out of the 6 bought the Hunter's founders pack. That is an extra $250 worth of referral revenue I helped DE obtained.

The 6th player (Free player) stopped playing after about 100 hours due to DE's poor continued decisions.

The 5th player (Hunter Founder) stopped playing after about 20 hours due to DE's poor decisions.

The 4th player (Hunter Founder) stopped playing after 15 hours due to DE's poor decisions.

The 3rd player (Hunter Founder) over 150 hours logged, plays very little now due to work.

The 2nd player (Hunter Founder) over 300 hours logged, still plays buts less due to school and other free to player shooter games like planetside2.

The 1st player (Hunter Founder) over 700 hours logged, still plays often.

Myself (Hunter Founder) over 800 hours still hopes (maybe in vain) DE will fix and correct the many mistakes and bad decisions they made in the past and present.

  2. I'm just bringing to light the flaws of having an event being ALLOWED TO END EARLY.

In theory as an extreme example that would never happen: what if the event finished in the first day? Or even 12 hours? Or even 4 hours? How many players would complain then about not having enough time?

The point is with allowing the event to end early some players are at a disadvantage due to time zones. If you don't understand the point I'm trying to make, then I can't help you.

  3. Most events are launched at 5pm EDT on Friday. This allows for DE to deploy hot fixes right before the weekend and I understand and agree why it is done.

If DE intention was to allow for the event to end early consider this:

Some Players on the other side of the world experienced the Sling-Stone event starting at 5am on Satuday and could have potentially played until 12 midnight on Monday(which would have been fine). But with the event ending early around 10 am Monday, competitive players had less optimal/normal awake time to take part in the event (event started when they were sleeping for the 1st day and ended shortly after they woke up 3rd day).

NA players had friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday up until around 10 pm.

Some competive players on the other side of the world ONLY had Saturday and Sunday to play.

So when you allow events to end early, some players from Regions other than NA will have a disadvantage. So I disagree with allowing this event to end early. I feel as though not enough thought has been put into the fairness of the entire player base.

Please understand and take this into consideration for future events.

That being said. I really enjoyed this event and I got plenty of points and my clan did very well.

EDIT: This tread is not about qq or having enough time to farm 250. Its about the flawed system of ALLOWING the event to end early and how its a disadvantage to players on the other side of the world. If the event didn't end early, the disadvantage would be less. The two previous events did not end early.

  4. I already had the Seer Blueprint from the 20+ runs yesterday. But stopped farming because I was only getting cronus bp. Read this thread today and decided to give it a shot.

    Solo

    1st run got cronus

    2nd run got barrel bp

    3rd run got nothing

    4th run got receiver bp

Maybe hotfix, RNG and running solo did the trick for me. Good luck tenno.

edit: It was on Nightmare mode also.

  5. Some players including myself experienced a UI bug that didn't update the spy drones kills after a mission. I lost about 100 kills due to this bug and I had to take a 4 hour break because of a lack of progress. This lost of 100 kills and 4 hours ultimately resulted in not making it into the top 100 by a small margin. But I still managed to help my clan get many kills. Oh well, bugs happen and I hope they fix it before the next event.

But if this bug happened to you and you didn't get the basic reward then I'd suggest you summit a support ticket.

  6. I actually have this bug since I started playing some while ago, but I never gave it too much attention, I thought it was somenthing still not fully implemented.

Like I said, not a tragedy for me, but I really would like they get rid of this bug for the next event.

I hope you at least got the reward(snipetron vandal w/ orokin catalyst and free weapon slot and original snipetron blueprint). If not, summit a support ticket. And I agree that I hope they completely fix this bug before the next event.

  7. Well honestly our clan has already given DE like 100$ from when we first started buliding the dojos.

Equal numbers may seem fair to you.

But then think of it this way.

Is it fair for a 500 person clan to compete with a 1000 person clan?

There will never be a "fair" number.

It is unfair however for DE to just pick a random number and make clans conform to it.

Imagine if they made all clans a maximum of 100 people.

Trust me if they did that ALOT of people would be pretty &!$$ed off.

So think about it from that point of view, because its basically the same thing that they are doing to our clans..

Maybe you misread or misunderstood my posts. I said "Maybe DE just wants the simplest solution to make large clans compete fairly(equal number vs equal numbers)? and "I'm just trying to play Devil's Advocate to come up with some reasoning behind the future changes"

So the point I was making is with the new clan size limit is that top clans can no longer have a size advangtage over another clan, hence compete fairly, 1:1 ratio for the top clans as a possible reason for DE to implement this.

I never stated that this was fair. I was merely playing Devil's Advocate to some of the reasons why DE has decided to limit clan sizes.

And I sympathize with you and the problem this has caused you. I'm just trying to help you see it from another prospective.

  8. This bug happened at the worse time...during this weekend event. I lost about 100 kills with this bug. I had to stop playing for 4 hours because it was not updating. Sad part is, had I got those 100 kills and played those 4hours I would have made it into the top 100. :(

  9. Well, after all the complaining in this event, I hope DE never does one of these again, but that's for another thread entirely. If so, the equal numbers argument would be moot. Another way around it would be a kill:member (or maybe members with kills, to keep it more accurate) ratio, which I'm surprised nobody at DE thought of.

What dubin is getting at is the amount of work put in to recruiting and maintaining such a large clan/dojo, as well as the increase in such work needed if the single clan splits up. As the large clans have had to do exponentially more work already and the new system would force us to do proportionally even more work, it is in our eyes quite unfair.

Maybe you misread or misunderstood my original post or I wasn't clear enough. When i was referring to fair and equal numbers its was in relation to what DE is doing with clan limits. With clan limits, Largest clans will have equal numbers vs equal numbers. So I don't understand why you think my argument is moot in the context with which i presented it.

Another idea is that in some mmo games like DDO there is a daily upkeep cost directly related to the clan size. So clans of larger sizes can have all their benifits of being large but still have to pay to balanced things out. But I suspect no one here would like this idea. As it promotes all players to be active some what. And it seems larger clans like the idea of carrying casual players.

  10. Currently we don't know whats going to be done about alliances. But I think its going to be more of a chat tab function. And will be used to help smaller clans slowly unite into bigger clans. And it does seem odd with the line of reasoning about the lag chat issues.

Well it seems everyone's definition of FAIR is different now days. Like I said in my original post "compete fairly(equal numbers vs equal numbers)."

Another point is number of clans competing in each tier. By adding the clan limit, there will be more competition in the higher tier. Maybe this is what DE really wants?

Clan limits will result in more clans and therefore the possibility of additional plat is spent on future rooms in the dojo. (So that DE makes more money)

And I agree that reward structure should be changed to a either a flat tiered reward system and/or a combination of both the current and tiered rewards.

Edit: I'm just trying to play Devil's Advocate to come up with some reasoning behind the future changes. Maybe We should put together a small list of really important questions (about alliances and clan sizes)to ask DE during next live stream and up vote them to make sure we are heard.

  11. I understand the idea of breaking up a large clan full of great players both full time gamers and casual players is disheartening. Maybe DE wants clans of smaller sizes to have a chance at growing instead of mega clans consuming most of the new players? Maybe DE is looking at the fact if they don't limit clan sizes now, that one day we will have a clan that is 10,000 and then 20,000 and so on?

Without limits the current clan competition is unfair. Should DE keep adding/changing the clan tiers because some clans are growing too large? What happen if there is one clan that is 100,000 and the next clan is only 4,000? Is it fair for both of them to compete with each other? Maybe DE just wants the simplest solution to make large clans compete fairly(equal numbers vs equal numbers)? And if you want to still play with your old friends prior to the break down, the new alliance chat will provide that.

Just trying to give some constructive feedback in hopes to help others understand this future change and possible reasons behind it. In the end, no matter what DE does there will always be someone who disagrees. Lets just focus on as many new ideas for possible solutions so that hopefully everyone will benefit.

  12. I think a Real time leader board along with tiered rewards will work. This way the OP wouldn't have wasted his time getting 1700. With a real time leader board and tiered rewards, he would only work to get the highest tier (like 500 or 1000) and then focus on helping his clan mates get their reward as well. The end result for his clan would be: More team work with the kills distributed among the entire clan instead of some having 1000+ and not getting into the top 100 and other clan mates who might not get a middle or higer tier reward.

  13. I was wondering what all the Grand Masters thought about the new solar landmark change. I think it looks cleaner and less cluttered. But it takes longer to see all the names. I know its not that important of a change compared to bug fixes. What are your thoughts?

  14. More like a contest to see who could buy the kogake in the first place. Its basicly another donation event. If you farmed them up then started using them your still behind those who have the plat for them in the first place.

Either way, interesting event. Curious if they may come up with something else to draw us all into.

While players with plat could have bought them to get a 12 hour advantage, consider this. Only 2 of the 6 winners were disciples and 4 of the 6 were non founders. Which proves that players who farmed them didn't have that much of a disadvantage.

All video entries can be broken down into 2 parts.

    1. The actual kill

        a. 1 hit kill

        b. multi-hit kill

    2. The setup

        a. parkour

        b. ability use

        c. creativity

        d. skillful

For the actual kill the community entries showed that some think 1 hit kills are good and others think multi-hit combos are good. Based on the results, the Judges prefer only 1 hit kills. This doesn't make it more creative. It makes it more simple and clean.

For the setup the community entries showed lots of creative setups. Community entries showed that some think in game play kills are good and others including myself went for the setup kill for more control. Almost all winning entries were staged setup with cleared enemies around and/or decoys/friend aggro used to keep the enemy busy until the kill. (@ JusticeJack thought the loki back flip entry was luck, look again his friend was running around the bottom to setup the kill)

Maybe it might have been better to include a more variety of actual kills in the winners circle? Maybe one of the montage should have made into the top 5? Maybe one of the video entries with multi-hit combo kill should have been in the top 5? This would at the vary least make those player who made that style of video better compare a similar video that bested theirs.

I believe most of the winning entries had creative setups using parkour and abilities with different degrees of skill involved. All of them were entertaining. Again congrats to the winners.

WTB honorable mentions, just so I can feel better.

I think a list of some honorable mentions would help those who felt denied/robbed from being in the winners circle and give the community a better understanding of what the winning videos were compared too.

Now lets all prepare to kill some surveillance drones for the weekend event!

  15. I can't believe that developers finally don't care about the community, there was so much better videos than these ones with so much more work on it, the only video which deserve 1000 platinum is "the flying tenno bullet".

Stop doing contest if you are not able to assume it, we are not idiots and we can obviously see that you didn't look at all the videos, that's a shame.

I took 2 days to do mine and i think that it's much better than these ones, it shows all kogake abilities with many kills and not only 1...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKyRpGc4SqA

Which I did to a greater extent than some of the other entries

While both of your videos were entertaining as with my entry, they both didn't meet the "winners circle requirement."

Remember at the end of the day all contests are going to be subjective to what the judges are looking for. Based on the Results, they clearly wanted

    1. Clean kill/kills (no montage of many kills combined)

    2. Parkour (sliding, jumping, flipping, wall running...)

    3. Ability powers used

    4. No music

    5. And most importantly 1 hit kill (go to mercury if needed)

So let this be educational and informative for the next/future kill contest on what the judges are looking for so that all of us can make some epic videos and make it even harder for them to pick the top 5. Maybe next time they will have to pick top 10 instead of 6.

Yes its a little unfair but lets be honest. This is DE 1st video kill contest. No one knew exactly what they wanted. A better understanding of what they wanted would have helped many players including myself from spending so much time and effort into making a video, only to find out it wasn't good enough. This is why I made a little list of what we all need to do next time. I feel your pain. But lets focus on the positive and enjoy the new weekend event.
