  1. The frames themselves seem to have something inside that allow them to do things independently. This would imply that they need oxygen to survive.

The Rhino codex implies that the frames can operate on their own, but they can be incredibly volatile and out of control. The operator controls them and makes full use of their powers.

There's still questions left unanswered such as "What's inside the Frames?". For now, all we can assume is that it's some sort of infested tissue that lives and breathes, and the Operator is what helps to keep them controlled.

  2. This has been on our radar for a while, and investigations have taken place. Unfortunately I'm going to need to ask for a 'Wukong expert' to volunteer some time with me to really get to the objective root of the problem that's being reported, because it's not adding up to what we are seeing under the hood. Reply to this if you're interested.

I can help too. I will be around for another hour or two until i sleep though. PM me in game if you need me!

EDIT: Internet is being slow tonight and there's a new bug introduced last hotfix that is breaking the game.

I think i'll head off for the night, but good luck!

  3. Yes. No prob controlling. And right-click does slow it down. Check your button config, OP. Did you ever change Zoom to another button?

You can't slow it down from the default firing speed.

You launch an arrow and all you can do is speed it up once, and then slow it down to the speed you fired it at again.

i actually like how it is now... #glaiveprime

Try using arrows with it. For an Archer frame, arrows sure are hard to control.

  4. It's very unreliable and you never know how easy it's going to be to control.

Most of the time it fires so fast that it's hard to control, and right click does nothing. You left click and.....

    zzzzOOoOooOOOMmmm

It's whizzed off the map or into a wall via the speed of sound.

It's very rare that it goes nice and slowly for me, and that left clicking will speed it up a decent amount. Could we perhaps have it control more reliably? Left and right click could actually have differing levels of speed rather than "default" and "Fly off the map" speeds?

Currently if it fires too fast by default, then we can't slow it down at all. The only option we have to increase the speed by a crazy amount and then lower it back to the speed we fired it at. There's no in-between, which makes this ability incredibly difficult to control or predict how it's going to work.

Any chance of looking into this please, DE?

  5. Base damage type is usually at BEST around a quarter of your damage; against armor it's usually more like a tenth.

    BASE DAMAGE TYPE BARELY MATTERS.

It does make a small difference, mostly because slash is terrible against armor, but really, the difference is barely significant. A few more or less percent damage isn't going to determine the best weapon.

The true difference comes from the weapons characteristics; PPrime fires faster (reload speed), Dread has higher red-crit chance and less of an arrow arc, RCernos fires the fastest but has a small chance to not crit (and hit like a wet noodle).

Technically RCernos wins the DPS race, but the (admittedly small) chance to not crit makes me dislike it. The AoE viral proc and energy restore can be very useful, or pointless, depending on frame and enemy selections; it's somewhat situational.

There is no clear winner between the 3 top bows - all that's clear is that Daikyu isn't a contender (*snicker*).

I completely forgot Rakta Cernos doesn't have 100% crit chance.

The chance for no crit is so small that i totally forgot about it xD

  6. Well then Im torn between Paris Prime and Cernos. I have enough points to take the cernos. The paris prime has earned its reputation, as its viable even against high level heavy units. However, the cerno may be great despite its impact damage, but lining up the 2, whats there really on the cerno that beats the paris prime? The status? A bow shouldnt have to hit an enemy more than 1-2 times in which status is useless. I dont really use these weapons against level 200 enemies.

The charge rate and syndicate proc alone make it a win over the Paris Prime for me.

I guess it's personal preference, but i do prefer Rakta Cernos.

It is arguably the best/at least on par with the other 2.

EDIT: Let's not forget how it's the best looking bow by far. Paris Abra skin being second best.

  7. I prefer Rakta Cernos over any of them.

Best Syndicate proc of them all, and fast charge rate so you have a space spare for another damage mod.

I dont understand why people say rakta cernos. It's impact. That's not that good in the void as well as against grineer, it's mainly against corpus.

It has no problems against any faction. Give it a try before dismissing it just because it's Impact.

  8. it does take the base dmg from bow / primary / elemetal status procs

fire rate , crit chance , crit dmg multiplier , split chamber , dmg mods , fast reloads , terminal velocity , thunderbolt

i use bow with out serration , heavy cal , split chamber , just elemental mods only hitting 3k...then i put dmg mods i was hitting 8k

just experiment with it ... i use Daikyu btw .. coz it has the highest base dmg on all bows

I'm 90% sure it doesn't take base stats. DE know better than to do that because it'd force you into using one weapon.

Even the Warframe wiki says "Artemis Bow benefits from Rifle mods on the currently equipped Primary weapon, which include base damage, physical damage, elemental damage, Fire Rate, Multishot, Punch Through, Critical damage, critical chance, and status chance mods."

It benefits from mods, not the weapon itself.

  9. Not as far as i know. Like most weapons, Artemis Bow does IPS damage, so it can proc either of them. If you're using an event IPS mod on your Dread or Paris though, it would raise the respective damage type of the Artemis Bow. The highest damage type has more chance to proc, therefore using the Slash event mod on your Dread could raise the Slash stat of Artemis Bow enough to make it a priority when status procs occur.

So basically, it's more likely an event IPS mod that is causing more procs on Artemis Bow.

  10. I think frames gain some focus from their own weapon kills.

Either way, Steve said it's being changed ASAP. Soon we'll gain shared exp like normal levelling.

He's also vaguely said that they're working on being able to remove lenses without destroying them. He also confirmed they're working on respecs.
