Mesa has one of the strongest damage mitigation abilities in the game, a decent CC/team buff in her two that can be further augmented with more CC by Muzzle Flash augment, and her ult mows just about anything down. Only thing that might be weak is her 1, and its pretty decent for what it does/can be used for.

  3. I have no idea what you're talking about with Rhino. He has two builds. Roar buffing for farms, and Yolo mode, where you can just build normally and do anything because, Ironskin. All of his skills scale with just about everything.

     

    If anything, Chroma has more playstyles, whether it is as a Fire-based support healer. Ice-based tank. Electric-based offensive tank, or I have no idea what to do with Toxin, but I'm thinking about a build for Conclave.

  4. They are pretty much the same, its sheer preference if you wanna choose dps or mobility in your set. Dash gives a instant 1,5-2X multiplyer base but relies on recasting once you run outa targets, javelin gives similar numbers on a percentual value with a timer.

    They are pretty close dps wise and worked together with the stealth multiplier excal had preU16. DE even worked on the mechanic to make them work better with radial blind by splitting the stun and blind-phase so you could stun them, get a multiplier and then attack them buffed for the best result.

    Then they suddenly deleted the stealth multiplier....insanity.

     

    If Surging Dash also gave extra duration to the combo multipler, then it'd be perfect.

     

    Furious Javelin though, is extremely counter intutitive. You hit many targets, you'll get a good bonus. To increase the amount of targets you hit for a bonus, you can put on range, but overextended will make the damage bonus you get from it negative, and you'll weaken the Javelin itself.

     

    To increase the strength of the bonus you get, you need power strength, but you'll run into the problem of actually killing your targets with the Javelin, leaving nothing to use the damage bonus on. If you try to maximize the duration of the bonus, you'll get less range, meaning less targets to get a bonus from.

     

    Add in to the fact that since Javelin's now Line of Sight, even targets that would be in range might not get hit, and you won't get the damage bonus from them.

     

    This is insanity and Furious Javelin is a terrible augment.

  5. Change the jump height modifier to power duration instead of power strength.

     

    Have power strength affect the modifer on the finisher damage.

     

    Additional ground slam impact radius will stay static.

     

    Remove cast delay on Super Jump so we can cancel out of it faster.

     

    Preserve more horizontal momentum.

     

    Oh, and buff Excalibur's base stamina to 150, base speed to 1.1, and armor to at least 100 while you're at it.

     

    And remove stealth multiplier nerfs to Radial Blind please.

  6. Excal has better mobility than every other frame except maybe Nova and Zephyr. Reliability isnt a design problem, its an execution problem. The bugs simply need to be fixed. Could the powers stand to be refined a bit more? Sure. But he is no where near as bad as people are making him out to be. 

     

    These kinds of threads didnt start popping up in such a large scale until his 4 was adjusted. That tells me that his 4 was the only thing considered useful, and at the same time, was the only reason people used him to "meta-farm". Now that that everybody's cheese has been taken away, everybody wants to cry about it now.

     

    You guys are suggesting that if you strip away player skill, excal falls short of anything useful. No frame or power should outweigh player skill. This isnt WOW, or everquest, or whatever other mmorpg people are playing. You cant just button mash your way to victory or set a macro and go make a sandwich. This is a shooter, and Excal is more than capable of completing any mission that most any other frame can under the same conditions.

     

    The real problem is the opposite of that scenario. Strip away all of the warframe's powers..... You'll find a disturbingly large number of people who dont know what to do. This is why excal, ember, volt, and banshee are rarely ever seen. They are all on the top of my list of favorite frames, simply because they require skill to play properly. At the end of the day, they are all glorified weapons platforms, but these 4 dont have any kind of massive CC, healing, or damage mitigation to keep people alive.

     

    Nothing to play the game for you or give you a massive crutch to compensate for a lack of skill.... Simple. Raw. Pure.

     

    I main Excalibur myself. His 4 could be taken away entirely and I'd have no problem with that.

     

    Its the blandness of Super Jump, and Radial Blind's loss of the stealth multiplier now that kills me.

  7. The LoS mechanic isn't that big of a problem to me as pure melee player. Excal has a great melee set with auguments to fit in this role perfectly. I never had a reason to hide anywhere to begin with but. No excal player had. But taking away this option while simultanely nerfing his melee is just sheer insanity.

     

     

    But his augments kinda suck.

     

    The only really usable one at the moment is Surging Dash for an instant 1.5x or 2.x combo multipler into a group of enemies. Not far enough into Conclave to try his other augments though.

  8. Or you could watch your duration, and not be in a position to get popped when Vex armor runs out.

     

    Or you can increase your duration with mods (my Vex armor lasts atleast 30 seconds with Continuity and Constitution, more then enough for a prolonged engagement).

  9. Cold is hilarous.

    I tanked for 40 minutes in A T3 Survival earlier, using a no power strength Cold Elemental Ward. Its highly amusing to see everything, and I mean everything, bombard rockets, moa laser fire, nullifer lanka bullets, just bounce off me. Highly survivable, especially with lifestrike to heal in melee.

  10. Slash Dash is fine as it is. Maybe have the Surging Dash augment extend the combo counter duration as well as increase the amount of counter ticks per enemy hit. A good quality of life buff would be to be able to Slash Dash in any direction.

    Blind is fine as it is. If they don't want the stealth multipler, maybe you can have blinded enemies open to finishers.

    Remove Super Jump. If its kept, at least take away the duration during Super Jump that you can't do anything else, until the apex. Super Jump should perhaps buff Excalibur's melee damage, and make his next melee (since it'll be a ground slam) finisher damage, giving him a potent single target assasination ability for skilled players.

    Remove Radial Javelin. If it is kept, they should have the ability scale off the combo counter as well as power strength, encouraging its use as a true finishing move.

  11. Surging Dash: Surging Dash needs to increase the duration of the combo counter by a few seconds.

    Furious Javelin: Instead of Furious Javelin dealing damage giving Excalibur bonus melee damage, let Javelin damage be multipled by the combo counter.

    The electrical barrier that amps damage, crit, adds electric damage, and protects you and any ally behind it?
