What happens when one sells all frame?

I always wondered what the game does if yoy sell your first/all frames. Was going to attempt it to see what happens but enjoyed my Excalibur too much to delete for observation purposes.

You have to keep one of everything in each slot so you can never sell *everything*.

On the subject of support tickets, got a response and all my stuff restored an hour after my post in this thread, heh. 13 days though, ouch,

  2. That's unfortunate to hear. I'm 13 days into waiting on a ticket, (after waiting a week to even send it in at all), regarding selling all my frames and weapons in a little bit o' a kneejerk overreaction. (Bad medical news, all my clan buddies had given the game up for good, etc).

Extremely stupid on my part and I deserve to lose everything but still, a shame that a MR23 founder account should die because of lapsed judgement and an overflowing queue.

  3. At the end of the day it's a Lato and a Braton, we can stop lording it over people and just give them out again.

I stupidly sold both of mine after the closed beta reset and had support refuse to refund them, (that's fine, my goof), and ended up buying the Stalker bundle just to get a Hate, (three years almost to the date and it never dropped), just to get the 300 affinity for MR22. The whole thing is kind of ludicrous.

Anyway, tangent aside I would appreciate them being offered again, it's been years now, people have enough stuff to feel like a snowflake with.

    How is Brigador?

Been curious about it, but the price felt a bit much for what I was seeing.

Certainly waiting for it to be on sale, but what are your thoughts?

Best thing I've played in a very long time. It's deceptively deep in terms of mechanics. Tank controls, directional armor, (side and back armor takes more damage), aiming isn't hitscan you actually have to feel out how all the mounts and weapon types work, on and on and on. It's a pretty in depth little vehicle sim with kind of a Hotline Miami vibe and an incredibly fleshed out world. (Think of the Souls series item descriptions). Plenty to unlock as well between the campaign mode and the freelance missions where you buy more pilots/vehicles/guns/missions/lore snippets/etc. Damn shame they can't more coverage for the game, it's a real gem.

If you can appreciate the necessity to really learn the ins and outs of your equipment and get over the initial hump of the first hour, it's super rewarding.

But here's the thing for me, and literally everyone I know.

We play quite a lot. Most of us have 1000+ hours in the game, me and my fiancee have close to 1800 hours each.

Spending 30-40+ hours doing the same couple of missions (and that's if we luck out on the 'averages', it could be far, far more) does not seem fun to us.
Farming thousands of Cryotic, Farming keys, farming T4 Defence C's, Farming T4 Survival C's and T3 Sabs, with a 5% drop rate.
It makes it a full time job.

Just now seeing this topic, this quote is literally the same exact thing that's happened to my clan of founders. (with only two of us left even trying anymore).

Been playing a lot of Brigador lately and there was a quote from the devs about building a game that respects the player's time. Since Nitain dropped I truly don't feel like that's the case here in Warframe, (and to be fair maybe it was never a point for them). That being said though, I spent over 50 hours trying to get Vauban before I finally just bought all the parts. We literally could not get a single drop.

Argon, that's fine. Nitain and those drops rates though, good lord.

  6. Ash isn't OP he just kill steals from pubs so they get cranky. It's ok, I get the same way when an Ember joins my Sechura run and laughs at me because they are 'doing all the work' and haven't moved in ten minutes.

  7. Yeah feels icky. More than anything I don't appreciate the backhanded way the nerfs were worded. I'm a little old to feel like someone is wagging their finger at me, thanks.

That and the complete hostility from the community on the whole over not being thankful for the changes. I honestly do take offense at the implication that I don't care enough about something I've played every single day since the servers went live. My entire clan is gone now and I keep going because I'm just waiting to burn my last 1kp on the new frame bundle when it drops.

  8. Blame the players again, this is getting to be a habit around here.

Everyone wants the sharks out of the kiddie pool until they grow up and become that shark. Don't play in an open lobby if people are blowing you out of the water. Find an actual clan, etc, etc, etc. Help yourself instead of running here to complain someone outplayed you because of their gear/equipment choices.

no, we'll never be satisfied until no warframe is meta

The sheer insanity of this comment is staggering. If you truly think that is possible, I feel bad for you. Games with eight or so very clearly defined classes can't be balanced for that let alone a game with 30 or so characters and literally hundreds of weapons and mods.

Whatever downsite bladestorm might have is astronomically small to its positive sides.

Your convenience =/= a positive side for everyone else. Take a step back and look at the pieces here, a characters ultimate ability does almost nothing now.

Regardless of whether that happened or not, I dont consider a nerf to an ability that grants invincibility AND completely desintegrates mor than 18 enemies with a VERY high level cap something bad.

Ran a solo syndicate exterminate this morning and it was only grabbing 2-3 guys tops. That's not ok for 60 energy per cast.

  12. Ouch, that condescension. I don't agree with you so you're going to turn your nose up and tell me to go play mobile. Stay classy.

There is what YOU think Warframe is and then there is the actual flesh and blood, nuts and bolts of what it actually amounts to. I'm really done trying to voice any kind of concern because in the end they are going to do what they do and people with 7k post here, (lol wow, really?), are gonna pat them on the back regardless.

What is happening here, and what no one will say is that DE is getting outpaced by their players so they have to all of a sudden gimp anything they can and you guys buy every little buzzword they drop. I haven't heard the word 'trivialize' so much in my life as I have the last two weeks. How long has bless Trin or anything else been in the game, why is it an issue all of a sudden when they are so far behind on a big numbered update that they have to split it in TWO. That's never happened before. Think about it.

This is the result of the game no longer being fun because there's no thought involved.  When the only criterion for "desirable" content is how quickly it lets you trivialize repeated missions, there's not much game left to enjoy.

That is highly subjective and I do not agree.

The game was never hard outside of those first few weeks of closed beta in late 2012. Fun for my group was coming together to grind out the new stuff and seeing how wacky they could get with the themes and powers. Everyone had their own reason to play but that was enough to keep us going for years.

I think that's another issue at hand, people forget that this is essentially a lobby game, they've sure gone above and beyond in terms of putting actual world building and story in a F2P game but when you get down to it it IS World of Tanks or anything else of the sort. We wait in the queue and go do our thing, then we tweak equipment and do it again. The term 'trivialize' garners nothing but an eye-roll from me much like 'interactivity' does. It artificially inflates what is actually going on in the game and sidesteps why I think these nerfs really happened.

If you think the game is too easy then you are more then welcome to go right ahead and take your health and shield mods off and stop using a Tonkor. If I have all the time and money mentioned above in the game, not to mention so many hours I almost see the code like friggin Neo in the Matrix, yet I choose to keep playing rather than move on to something new, yeah....it's going to be easier than the MR2 guy who just started. In any other game in existence that would be fine but for some reason here it feels like they want me to be on an even playing field with Mr. MR2. That is what sucks all the motivation out of the game for me. It's become a system where my time in does not equal any feeling of gain at all.

(And for the record, I play solo or with my MR17+ friends so I don't step all over our hypothetical MR2 friend here. That I can understand and I think we on the whole need to accept pub lobbies are almost always going to end this way so find some damn friends your rank. Help yourself yo.)

Now that we've argued this for a week or two the real bottom line seems to be that people are tired of being left out of the match. They aren't worried about how many buttons they press.

  14. I agree with the OP 100%. We can throw words like meta, interactivity, etc, etc around but this is the exact feeling I have for something I have almost four years, $400 and almost three thousand hours in. I have no motivation to fire the game up beyond getting my login reward and all my clanies have left as of this year. Nothing new is happening and we're spinning our wheels arguing over how people have come to play this game.

I'm not trying to argue who is right or wrong I'm just stating how I feel. (and please, for the record, I wasn't a huge fan of any of the recent frames that were touched upon, please don't tell me I'm just 'salty', (ugh), because I'm lazy.

Warframe to me was always about moving from A to B and using my favorite weapon to mow down those before me and on a whim displaying immense power, be it a feat of agility or cutting a swatch of destruction in front of me. Now everything feels samey and nebulous and I can't be bothered to relearn it because it just feels like it's going to lose it's luster and be brought down again in a few weeks.

  15. I don't want DE to be discouraged with all the negative feedback but I'm also not a huge fan of treating them with kids gloves over it either. There was a reason so many people were upset over it and at the end of the day the only people who seem happy were the ones annoyed with being outpaced in a match anyway.

I'd really like to stop spinning our wheels over 'reworks' and just get back to making actual content to play through. Stuck in place is a really, really bad situation to be in for a game like this.

  16. I wish I could upvote the OP a million times over.

The problem really is enemy scaling, nothing is gonna matter until that is addressed. We were here once before when the duration/efficiency changes happened and the assumption was that it'd dovetail into the new starchart rework but that has yet to happen. It's hard not to call something a nerf when it's always the player losing something, you know? Fix the actual problem and maybe we'll stop taking everything so personal and go back to using the frames and weapons we actually like instead of the ones we feel we have to after hours of tedium.

I have 99% of everything in the game so at the end of the day, they can change whatever they want and I'll get around it easy enough. I just wish we'd get back to new content and having fun grinding it out. I feel like I'm being punished for having things and wanting to still being here.

I know I have to do the mission to get the stuff I want, but I don't necessarily need it. Find other things to do in game or take a break for a bit. You may not have the exact weapon combo you want, but there are other things you could do.

When you're a MR20+ founder there really isn't anything else to do but get the new stuff though. I don't *need* every item, I don't *need* every mod, etc but then again that's the point of a weekly updated lobby game right? They put new things in, I spend a little money on plat for more slots/reactors/catalysts so I can hunt them down and level them. That's the give and take of this company and consumer relationship right?

It all comes back to, well if neither myself nor the devs themselves can give me a reason to bother and the sentiment seems to be "hey guy you got some things, stop trying" well then I well and truly do not *need* play this do I?

Not to single you out on this either, I just really do not like this argument in the slightest.
