I use despair and latron prime, personally for latron prime i go for fire damage, fire rate, crit dmg, crit chance, and anything else u want, dmg mag size ammo cap

For Latron Prime you should use all crit and dmg mods.

Something like that (formed 3 times before Shred... wrong polarity, so Cryo Rounds will be better and more effective than Hellfire):

Oh, there's something else you should consider...

 

10 (1 + 1.5) = 25% critical chance

150 (1 + 1.2) = 330% critical damage -> 45 damage (1 + 0.3) (3.3) = 193.05 damage (proc'ing a critical shot, 25% critical chance)

150 (1+ 1.2 + 0.6) = 420% damage -> 45 damage (4.2) = 189 damage (proc'ing critical shot, 25% chance)

 

That gap just keeps on getting bigger with more damage mods, so drop out Hammer Shot in favor of a maxed Bane of (Grineer, Infested, Corpus) unless you're doing a Void mission. And then yeah, like Thundervisison has said, go for Cryo Rounds.

 

EDIT:

 

In general, critical builds that have less than or equal to 150% critical damage benefit more from a Bane than Hammer Shot. Only take Hammer Shot for the Orokin Void missions.
