Deadmice
I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say its the engine having problems, not the computer
Arkfall
the Drop in FPS can be a few things... 1: It could be you. 2: It could (and most likely) be the Host. 3: It could be the Internet gods hate you or the Host. 4: Somewhere along the line of communications with you, DE, and the Host, Something, someone is doing is hampering your connections. 5: Stop Streaming (Insert everything) while playing. 6: You've simply downloaded too much porn. 7: Reason 6 doesn't actually count. Scheifen
If your actual computer slows down, its you. If you can still move your mouse, tab out and stuff, and it's just the game that slows down, it might be the host. if it is you, you can try: all background processes terminated while playing? Vram low? (too lazy to google that gfx card and check) have you checked if it's overheating? if closing Warframe fixes the slowdown immediately it's probably not heat, but if your computer is old it could need to be cleaned or the heat sync gel thing be replaced. or you could need to reformat your primary HD. Windows gets to a menopausal age sometimes where it needs to be kicked back to infancy by wiping your HD and reinstalling windows, like a turritopsis nutricula. Ceres666
Based on the info you gave, my guess would be: 1. Your CPU is dated and can't keep up. 2. The host's PC can't keep up with the load.

Starberyl
I'm not the only one with this problem since, everything else works nicely even normal defense with a ton of novas and infested
Dueler
I have a decent laptop: Intel i7, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA 650M 4GB, with a SSD. Yet I've been getting FPS drops ever since the update. It isn't my computer since I'm fine when I'm host. Nor is it my connection; everything else is fast as normal. So there's definitely something wrong here. bro-dog
i get this too regardless of whether i turn off options like shadows and high textures etc. first noticed it when i spent an hour or so soloing t3 defense, by the end of the hour i was at <5 fps i'd guess. there was very little stuff on the ground and no more enemies on screen than the earlier waves, yet my fps just kept dropping exact same thing is happening in survival if i go long enough (becomes noticable around 30 minutes or so for both t3 def and survival) game runs fine otherwise
