Nemesis
This has been a subject for quite some time among the forums and it's pretty clear that players are not satisfied with just one of each hall. New players wanting to build a beautiful dojo and having already planned one ahead will find themselves with disappointment as the inability to place multiple halls of the same type make it nigh impossible to have a workaround to the parent/child system and will make the dojo inconsistent with its layout as it will not be uniform. Other than that clans can have multiple decorators and/or ideas for their dojos but the limited halls won't let them put them to action and have the fantasies and diversity they want come true. What was even the point of removing multiple clan halls? Space? You can have all the observatories you want... I honestly cannot find any valid reasoning behind this and DE has neglected old content like this. It's nice to have more decorations, it's bad that you don't have where to place them. Edited September 12, 2018 by Nemesis
Sean
You'd definitely hit the maximum room capacity much quicker just as people would build up multiple clan halls, it's already pretty easy to hit it, especially with all the new rooms DE is planning on adding. It would be nice to allow more of them... and to also up the room cap (currently 100 Rooms + Beginning Hall). Nemesis
Still, even with less 100 rooms most clans would be able to do what they want; only megastructures would be inhibited by this (which would be awesome to look at). There aren't any rooms like the clan halls that allow your imagination to run rampant and the gardens already have decorations on them so you'd either have to implement them into the design you want or cover them with something and have low capacity remaining for the layout you want.
