KuroShiranui
With Melee 3.0 coming soon, I'm hoping that DE can make a little animation change by adding a flying kick or something similar for ground slam attacks. Specifically, change the current directional ground slam attack animation with a flying kick one instead of the usual fist-stomping the ground. Taking inspiration from Kamen Rider here, and a nod to Devil May Cry's Killer Bee attack as well. The kick angle would be adjusted to follow where the directional ground slam is heading into, making it more believable since the usual ground slam animation for directional use seems awkward to me. C'mon DE it would be a cool addition and I hope Sparring weapons can shine in the upcoming rework. Dishonored
Eyy maybe they could add aim-bot to the flying kick :d so the attack will always hit the enemies.

Hey that's cheating XD But not bad either. Kicking Grineer heads all day would be a blast.
RealPandemonium
You can already do this by sliding in mid-air. This has been a staple for knocking down enemies since I started playing 5 years ago.

And preferably damaging them too instead of knocking down. Guess i'll remove that last pic to avoid confusion.
