Everything stopped working but sound and chat in Orb Vallis

I was invited to join some hunting in Fortuna, worked fine untill an animal was caught. Instead of playing the animations for capturing an animal, my screen went black and I could only see the chat and transmissions and hear audio. It continued when the squad extracted into Fortuna, where I could see only player names and chat. My esc menu and mission progress were broken so I had to alt-f4 the game. This happened twice. My computer is a 5 year old Asus notebook.

There's currently some server and connectivity issues. if it happened just now it may be related to that.
