Bakim0n0
Sun for endgame is perfectly viable... How it plays out:you load the missionYou take 500 trillion damage per second during the loading sequenceyou either hit revive or forfietupon revival you take 500 trillion damage per second
Deidaku
Well maybe not on the actual sun *duh* but why not an advanced Orokin ship / solar station that's closer to the sun that mercury? But far a way not to fry everything on board

Volvadin
Perhaps what the original poster meant by the sun being a planet perhaps some more context would be more applicable? How about if i write up a little intro for a entire event for it? -Spoken by the Lotus- An Orokin fortress, as impossible as it may sound, has been discovered in the center of the sun. It is protected by an shield generator of untold power, which holds back the heat, radiation and the massive force of gravity. It was the Orokin's last line of defense in times of desperation. Now that the Orokin are no more the fortress Neural AI, having reactivated itself having been disturbed. This Neural AI has gained self awareness and mourns for it's lost creators, and it is attempting to self-destruct in vengeance against the universe by overloading the shield generator. Should the fortress do self-destruct, the effects could be catastrophic. The internal explosion holds a large possibility to trigger the sun into a super nova, destroying the entire galaxy. Fortunately, the shield generator was designed in handling such power and it will require roughly 14 days before it can reach the point of self-destruction. Unfortunately, the Grineer and the Corpus are oblivious to this, and are attempting to take the fortress for themselves. Fighting themselves over access to any orokin tech they can get their hands on. Tenno. What I will ask you to do will be one of the most dangerous missions you will ever take up, but should you emerge victorious then not only will the Tenno retake a powerful fortress but also several armories worth of weapons and equipment. There are only 3 gates that give access to the fortress. The Grineer and the Corpus have already gained access via 2 of these 3 gates and have heavily fortified them. The Tenno controls the 3rd gate, but it has been sealed by powerful locks by the orokin themselves. - Acquire the gate keys needed to access this gate. They can be obtained from high level capture and defense missions. - Acquire the access codes from the Grineer and the Corpus commanders to enter the inner keep. - Confront and destroy the Neural AI central core. Expect very heavy resistance. - Give me access to fortresses command center. I will then re-align the defenses against both the Grineer and the Corpus. - End Lotus Speaking - Possible Loot Ideas - Sol (warframe, fusion based) - Nova Prime - Muramasa (2H Sword, half way between galatine and orthos. Chance to 1-hit infested on charge attack.) - Cremator (Fusion ball launcher, deals fire, blast and radiation damage) - Valhalla (2H Axe, Galatine like stats) - Widow (Bow, deals AoE Viral damage) - Koldorus (Orokin Machine gun. Think a Slashing damage version of the Supra) - Braton Prime Alpha (Braton Prime skin, lowers fire rate to MK1-Braton rate but increases power) - Origin (Powerful fusion beam at the size of a tenno's torso. Think Flux Rifle on crack, but eats ammo like no tomorrow) - Vanisher (Sniper Rifle. Deals huge piecing damage, but Ignores Armor Bonuses and weaknesses) - Orbital (Sentinal. Has a flux rifle like beam. Can also self-revive the player once per mission.) Edited January 6, 2014 by FatPokemon

-BrokenBear-
Are you trying to tell us that there isn't Lava on the Sun, Chris? Lava = Hot Sun = Hot Therefore Sun = Lava lava = 1, 200 degrees Celsius Sun = 10 - 27 million degrees and btw picture this the core of the earth is so hot that the molten lava that formed it is solid. Now the sun is so hot that it is in the 4th state of matter which is plasma. its like liquid hydrogen but in reverse. instead of instantly freezing you to the point in which you will shatter like glass, you will suffer instant disambiguation but not from the suns heat just from the radiation it gives off, by the time you even are effected by the heat you will be completely atomized

Gekker
Why did Nekros cast Shadows of the Dead on this thread? Not even Desecrate would produce anything good out of a thread thats dead as this one.
