Locked when opening a link and having incubation screen open

The game has been locked as the option to exit the incubator does not work after opening a link from chat, the solution was to forcefully close the game, as shown by my cursor hovering over the exit. No inputs including chat works during this state.

 

Reminder on what it should be as the cursor hovering the EXIT is reacting.
