psyanide
Sup all, At some point DE had mentioned that there would eventually be power mods that could be used between different Frames... or that it was a possibility, bit foggy on the exacts that far back (update 7ish). I think the first great move in this direction could be Heavy Impact - they could switch it's (and all other Mods of a similar vein) polarity the 'double dash', WarFrame power type one. Not everyone (possibly hardly anyone) uses all 4 powers on their Frames, so this could lend a little more to the usefulness and versatility of the slots, and open up more options for customizing your Frame's playstyle. Heavy Impact is one of the only mod cards that has a direct... action(?) effect on on the enemy, along with Retribution - though Retribution, in it's current state, is rather daft. I mean honestly, electrical damage? Corpus have a single melee unit, Infested haaaaave, I dunno, everyone in their army trying to initiate fisticuffs!? Those bugs don't ph3ar teh lightningzors, DE. We need to KILL THEM WITH FIRE!!! BURN THEM ALL!!!!!! Please, do consider it? Also - For the mod cards such as Warm Coat, Insulation, Master Thief, Flame Repellant, Antitoxin - you know, the reallllly unpopular ones? What about giving a single, exclusive slot to them, much like Auras but with no effect whatsoever on the main mod point pool? Make all these Mods cost a set amount, between 1 and 5, at minimum and maximum level, that can be taken out of a seperate point pool that grows from 0 to 5 as your Frame levels, one point added per 6 levels (6, 12, 18, 24, 30). Even more awesome, though probably way more work - Have each different mod card come with a toggleable (is that a word?) piece of gear or attachment to our Frames? Hell, even a small tattoo somewhere on the arm, back, leg etc. to display what specialist piece of equipment we have brought to the party. Thoughts, great forum aficionados? MeteorKing
I haven't heard about this, but I would not be against it. Need more information. Shields are electricity, why would they do fire damage? Body mods are probably going to become a thing if DE has any intention of people using half the frame mods available (shock absorbers, really?) psyanide
Ah YES! Lol, I forgot shock absorbers! The main reason I wrote this in the first place! Hehehe. Yerrrrr, I know shields doing electrical damage makes sense buuuuuut.... I mean... it's... like... special equipment. I don't know how to put this... :( I am not against the option of an electrical damage shield option, just kinda would like to have fire somewhere in there too to go against the faction a melee rebuffing shield would do best against. I see your point, but stretching the sensical fits in this odd universe of sentient nanobot-plagues and Teenage Mutant Ninja WarFrames. psyanide
Why? You find Vauban's Bounce indispensable? Banshee's Silence useful in a 4 man farming run? I mean, look, your style is your style n I won't knock it for the sake of knocking it. I said possibly specifically because I do not know. There is more than one idea up there, it takes very little effort to go through the rest and provide useful input. noneuklid
I think nonspecific power cards would probably best be things that need to be activated. Conditional reactive powers like Heavy Impact, Retribution, Master Thief, and Shock Absorbers fit better with existing mods.
MeteorKing
It's really just preference. I use all 4 on loki and don't use any health mods. I've seen people who use all 4 on Rhino and don't use stretch/flow/rush. I have seen lots of people who use all 4 skills on Excab as he's pretty easy to do that on (don't need continuity or stretch). Lots of people use all of them on Ash, and Trinity as well. Those are just the common ones I've seen. There's no "wrong" amount of frame skills to use.
