Melee Ground Attack Impact?

Hello. I've been noticing that sometimes during ground execution my new Gram produces a force damage wave similar to Heavy Impact blast. Is it a new feature of Gram, heavy melee weapons in general, new application of HI card, a bug, or was it there all the time and I just didn't notice it? 

 

I'll be very grateful if someone would point me in the right direction.

Whoa, that sounds awesome - does it look exactly like the radial wave that happens when Heavy Impact procs?
