Steel_Rook
I'll be honest - I find non-endless missions more fun when the alarm is on and enemies are always around to shoot at. The problem is that actually getting that to happen relies on random AI interactions, and there are far too many instances where I end up having to disable the alarm all over again. Most commonly this is the result of lifting a lockdown, ever since the change which made that automatically disable the alarm rather than requiring a second hack. So... Why not let me manually trigger the alarm, then? Let me interact with any available Alarm console on the map and "trigger the alarm" the same way we do during Survival missions. To avoid griefing in multiplayer, maybe require another player to pass by the same console and interact with it, in a similar fashion to how two-player doors work. That makes the system optional, where players who prefer to stealth or fight smaller more isolated enemy contingents can keep the alarm disabled, but those who prefer to brute-force their way through heavy defences can announce our presence and jump straight into a firefight.
