Can't switch to Primary from Synthesis Scanner

I only have primary weapon equipped and a melee. My keybinding to switch weapon is default F and no binding to switch to primary. To scan a synthesis target I switched to scanner but then I couldn't switch back to primary and I checked keybindings again but that didn't help much and I died trying. 

Once again during same  mission I tried to scan and was stuck with scanner. I could bring out the wheel and switch whatever equipment I had but not to the weapon.

Same issue, only have primary equiped, no melee, no secondary. Happens on Loki when I switch to the scanner then go invis, or if I'm invis and equip the synthesis scanner.

Edit:Never mind on the invis, just seems to happen when you don't have a secondary equipped.

AFAIK, this has been ongoing for a while, and DE is aware of it. The "in the meantime" fix, is to select the scanner/mining tool again from your gear wheel to retrieve your primary. Personally, I bound a custom hotkey for wheel slot 1 for scanning until its addressed.
