Orb Vallis crash?

This has only started happening since yesterday for me. I have no idea why.

I noticed one thing happens before I crash. The sound in the game becomes muffled (like i'm underwater)... then a few seconds later it crashes. It has to have something to do with the sound. I run the game smoothly at 60fps, no issues. Never had issues until recently.

Am I the only one getting this? The game just shuts off and I get the browser popup saying I crashed.

Additional info:

1) Happens on archwing or when mining as well, so its not nulli bubbles

2) e.g When I iron skin it doesnt make the sound, I know i'll crash. If I shoot and hear nothing, I know i'm about to crash, etc.

3) Only occurring on Orb Vallis. Not occurring on POE or any other map.

 

EDIT: It is not every sound getting muffled - only certain sounds. Gun fire I still hear normally. Enemy sounds I still hear normally. Ability sounds get muffled, archwing boosting (when u hold space) loses sound.

Apparently uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it.

Corrupt sound files I assume.

I am not sure about the sound files for me but i was extracting from orb vallis to fortuna and my screen went completely black. It wasnt a failed or infinite host migration, it just went black with the exception of my ping and frame rate counter in the botton right part of my screen.
