Extreme lagging In riven mods area

Came back form being AFK for a minute or two, i began to move my mouse around to find a riven and i notice that it is lagging terribly with obvious delay of a half a second to a quarter of a second. Frame is 5fps. Its only happening when i am at the riven section when viewing all mods filtered by rarity. if i go to rivens section itself it has no issue, i go back to view all mods by rarity and it begins to lag. i can scroll away from the rivens and the lagging will clear up. i usually have no issue with fps running it at constant 72 fps on high, lag spikes are uncommon lest heavy particle is within view (mirage with laser weapons exploding as example).

 

NOTE: i am running the game with am AMD FX-8350, 16gb of ddr3 RAM at 1600HRZ, with a MSI GTX-980 4gb, (the one that is basically a 1060-1070 on proccessing power) and my game window is set to 1920x1080
