Massive performance issues + possible fix?

Firstly:

Processor: i9-8950HK 2.9GHz
RAM: 32GB
GPU: GeForce RTX 2080
Type: Laptop

So I've been having TERRIBLE performance in many places since the update. We are talking about dropping from and fps of 144 to sometimes as low as 17, regardless of my settings.

I found i had issues with PoE, orbiter (many decorations), and many rooms on the grineer galleon tileset.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION!!

Not sure if it will work for you, but for me this worked:

1. Open the warframe launcher.
2. Go to settings.
3. Change the API to DirectX 10
   • The launcher will now download something
4. Start the game.
5. Quit the game.
6. Open the launcher again.
7. Set the API back to DirectX 11.
8. Start the game

Since i did this, i haven't had any performance issues.

I have NO idea why this worked for me, but i hope it works for you, and i hope DE can figure out why this happened from this nonsense description!

Edit: never mind, im still having some performance issues (eg, ceres in the larger, rainier tiles)
