Pet survivability

Since we're getting pets 2.0 soon, I'd like to address a problem with pets currently. So we know about Link Armor, Shields, and Health mods, correct? These are good mods to use for your pets, if you're using a frame that has high base stats for these so your pet can benefit from the said stat(s).
So what happens if you're using a not tanky, or outright squishy warframe? Short answer: your pet will keep dying to the weakest area of effect damages possible.
Yes, there are mods which increase these stats for your pet without a link, but their base survivability stats are so weak by base, that it really doesn't change much on the issue. Not talking about if you're using Adaptation or Quick Thinking, that doesn't help the link mods at all to help your pet survive better.

Have you tried bringing a pet to any higher content on a frame like Trinity? If yes, you probably see them dying left and right, and in Arbitrations you can't even revive them. I suppose there are some balance done around the part between sentinels and normal pets, that sentinels have Regen and can't be ressurected once they use up their ress from the mod. So why do pets just instantly die and we are given no option to revive them?
Or if you're playing Trinity to kill eidolons, and if you do bring a kavat, it will just keep dying from inconsistent AoE everywhere. Is it really intended we should just choose between spending half of the mission reviving the pet, or just let them die?
Or when pets just die to a random Sapping Osprey because they are being dumb? Or when pets don't realize they are standing in a toxic puddle, or electric puddle or whatsoever?
Sentinels are already prefered to pets by many players.

So my suggestion is the following: Give pets some passive damage reduction towards area of effect damages.
Optionally, also make Adaptation and Quick Thinking somehow useful for them when you use link mods? Without Quick Thinking draining your energy for your pets ofc. That'd be silly.
An other MMO for example, has pets/minions passively take less damage from AoE attacks so the player doesn't have to spend inconveniently much time reviving them. Could we have an identical quality of life passive for pets? They are already pretty squishy as it is from single target damage if you're not using a tanky frame with link mods for them.
