RAILJACK: Public match is apparently not public or functional

Tried multiple times in past few days to attempt Railjack on public match. From Orbiter navigation for a given mission, it says there are several squads open but has told me (after every attempt and a short wait) that it cannot find any open squads and to try from Drydock; when I do so, it says there are open squads, but immediately launches me solo...and nobody joins (or match fails to match) despite my session being set to public.

The above almost looks like the match system is telling me that there's available squads, then completely ignoring that information when I try to act on that information, telling me to go to Drydock to join a squad, which instead immediately launches me in an effectively closed (and mislabeled) session. Needs fixing to give the option to [host squad] or [join squad] for all public matchmaking, wherever the Navigation access point.

Also, what about Crew Specters (like Index Specters) to assist if you're alone?
