Endless mission evolution

Good Morning everyone!

So today i've come to offer up an idea to "enhance" the current endless missions. (May or may not have already been suggested)

Endless missions are good for farming rewards as we know, able to "unlock" the C reward rotation multiple times in one mission makes farming easier.

However, this gets stale after so long and there is not really much of a challenge in "Camp here, spam abilities + spam melee"

I propose an idea to introduce "random events" on the C reward rotations.

These could be anything from, a small optional objective to a 2-phase mini boss fight.

So for example, after 20 minutes in a survival mission (after the C rotation reward) you get a message from Space Mom to tell the Tenno that she is receiving a distress signal from the area, a lone survivor is asking for help, free them and take them to extraction.


Just something I hope you guys think will spice up the boredom of endless missions. These random events could possibly could reward you with an extra reward from its own rotation pool.

Random Event ideas:

  • 2 Phase "mini-boss" (would not spawn unless the spawn point is approached, Lotus will advise of location) Limited time to activate spawn.
  • Lone Survivor escort (a lockdown room within the tileset contains a survivor who needs escorting to extraction, Lotus will advise of location) objective can be ignored and will timeout, extraction for Tenno unavailable once objective has been activated.
  • Artifact discovery (an artifact located within the tileset which when activated will scale the enemy levels up or down one "tick". Once activate Tenno must defend for a set time to enable the choice of level scaling, objective will timeout if ignored.

Disruptions are C rotation every 5 mins...after you ramp up to the them... problem is there is like only one spot for axi and its versus corpus which involves tons of bubbles and nullifiers bleh @ Lua.   (Sedna might reach axi but its also riddled with gauss parts).  

20 mins of boredome for 1 axi should be more of a problem than your boredom lol.  But I wouldnt mine random stuff happening.  

I have a couple of idea's to mix with your random events....

-transport the squad to a new random tile layout...

-I would really like the ability for a random event to let you PREVENT the enemy from scaling up.  You could go deeper versus wussier enemies.  Or if your one of THOSE guys you could use the event to increase enemy scaling.

I like the enemy scaling, could allow for faster reranking of formad gear if you could smash the enemy level scaling up.

Going to put some bullet points in the OP for some "random event" ideas, and any others people come up with. 🙂
