How many Stars can you get on a Warframe/Weapon/Sentinel?  I've only polarized up to 3 times on a weapon so I don't really know the maximum amount of stars you can get in total on a weapon.  If I were to polarized a gun more than 9 times would 9 Stars show up on my weapon?  If I chose to polarize things even more would I be able to get atleast 20+ stars on a weapon?  LOL stupid question I know but I was just curious is all

I would think that it maxes out at the number of unique mod slots on that specific item so if you polarized every spot on your dual vastos once, that would be max.

 

but I'm just speculating here.

I saw a screenshot of a guy with a Braton that had 10 stars. Considering there is only 8 slots, there is probably no limit to how many times you can forma.
