Elemental Particle Effects Options

So i just recently picked up my new Dakra Prime, hard work and all, and i realize it's not a crit sword, so i try to build an elemental build. the only downside of this is that the ice, fire and lightning particles ruin the gold trim of the sword completely. I was kinda wondering if it was possible to add a checkbox in appearance to choose wether or not you want to have the particle effects on?

I think it makes more gameplay sense to display elemental particles for short time after hitting with the weapon. (After that they could disappear.) Not every single thing in the game should be purely cosmetic.
