cannot exit the shawzin menu

it usually says options to exit but for me it just says “Shawzin_exit”. no matter what i do i cannot exit the menu. i have to completely restart my game every time. this problem started after i set custom controls (the exit button is still assigned to options yet it still doesn’t work) even after i reset the controls to default the problem still persists.
