Loki 2.0 - Old Gods, New Tricks

As one of the 9 OG frames playable in the closed beta, Loki practically remained the same throughout and is one of the oldest frames in the game. As such, we can see how the game really emphasized on stealth back then, giving Loki a passive ability dedicated to wall latching. However, as the game develops his kit not only became lacking in terms of effectiveness, but also lacking in flavor to encourage people in using him. Right now, Loki is mainly built around invisibility and his disarm, and there are better candidates for both of them (Octavia or Wisp for stealth, Xaku for disarm), leaving him only ever really used for speeding through Bounties where you need to escort hostages/drones, and spy missions if you do not have better options.

In Loki 2.0, not only will I attempt to revamp his kit to increase his overall effectiveness, but also incorporate a new element for those who wish to play Loki aggressively - Counter. Most of what Loki used to have will be preserved, and those who are looking for a more offensive playstyle can dip into the new counter attacks that exploits the enemies with delusional defeats. STATS CHANGES
Loki's base sprint speed has been adjusted to 1.1, and Loki Prime's base sprint speed has been adjusted to 1.2

PASSIVE CHANGES

Loki no longer latches onto walls for extended duration.

Addition :

Loki receives 25% increase in base sprint speed while invisible, as well as 50% faster finisher speed in general.
Decoy is now part of passive. Killing enemies while invisible spawns a decoy in their place, has a cooldown of 1 second.

 

NEW 1ST : PHASE(25 energy)

Loki turns invisible for a very brief moment and evades backwards, making himself invulnerable during the brief invisibility. When hit during the invulnerability window, Loki will play an animation of a decoy dying, then retaliate all attackers with throwing daggers when he reappears. Dodging through enemies with this ability removes their defenses.

When dodging into a decoy, the decoy will throw blinding daggers at all nearby enemies within line of sight, the invisibility duration extends beyond Loki has finished his dodge. Daggers thrown by Loki deals finisher damage that scales with enemy level, and decoys will fire daggers that blinds hit enemies and deals no damage.

Rapid Evasion - When invisible, casting Phase will cost less energy and no longer throws out daggers, allowing Loki to cast multiple Phases in rapid succession each with increasing distance covered.

 

2ND : INVISIBILITY(50 energy)

Changes :

Combined Invisibility and Switch Teleport. Tap to make Loki go invisible in place, hold to swap Loki's position with the targeted entity, then makes Loki go invisible.

Addition :

While invisible, Phase is not exclusive to dodging backwards and becomes a directional ability, as well as leaving a decoy behind when using Phase. Daggers thrown while invisible are able to land critical hits.
Switching with an enemy enables friendly fire on them, drawing enemy fire. Switching with an ally marks them with the Illusioner buff, sharing energy, health and shield gains between Loki and the marked ally, as well as casting additional abilities positioned at the marked ally when Loki casts his abilities.

Casting Phase will cause marked allies to fire blinding daggers at nearby enemies as if they are one of the decoys, Loki can throw daggers at them to score critical hits.

Mischievous - Changes decoy spawning, decoys will now spawn around Loki when he is invisible, as well as allies marked with Illusioner. Decoys periodically throws blinding daggers at enemies nearby, and explodes upon death to damage nearby enemies. Bonus explosion damage against blinded enemies.

 

NEW 3RD : DECEPTION(50 energy)

Splitting into two halves, Loki performs a directional dodge while sending his decoy to dodge in the opposite direction, transferring status effects, latchers, Nox's sludges, Leech Ospreys' projectiles, etc, onto the decoy. The energy cost of the following ability cast is halved, the special decoy of this ability easily distinguished by its complete replication of Loki's physical appearance and slight glow in his energy color, as well as having its own display on the minimap. The energy cost reduction will expire prematurely if the decoy dies, as well as the decoy expiring when an ability is cast.

When landing a perfectly timed dodge, Loki ignores the dodged attack as well as making the decoy invulnerable, the following ability cast will be completely free.

Synergy :

All synergies with Deception are triggered when an ability is cast utilizing the reduced energy cost.

When casting Phase following Deception, Loki will register attackers of both himself and the decoy as targets for throwing daggers, as well as the decoy throwing a second set of knives at struck targets.

When casting Invisibility in its switch form following Deception, Loki swaps places with the decoy, as well as teleporting all enemies near the decoy and redistributing them around it.

Allies marked with Illusioner gains increased Efficiency for as long as Loki's decoy/ability cost reduction buff is active.

Precise Deception - Landing a perfect dodge grants a brief moment of invulnerability, as well as restoring 50% shields for Loki and allies within affinity sharing range.

No mimicking abilities for the special decoy, energy reduction is capped at 175% efficiency cost.

 

4TH - RADIAL DISARM(100 energy)

When Radial Disarm hits a decoy, triggers another Radial Disarm at its place that is also capable of triggering other decoys, causing a chain effect.

Damaging disarmed enemies with Phase replaces their weapons with Loki's blinding daggers, causing them to melee their comrades with a chance to blind.

Allies marked with Illusioner mimics Radial Disarm casts at their place when Loki is casting.

The presence of the decoy from Deception doubles Radial Disarm's radius, with the special decoy triggering Radial Disarm like other decoys when hit by the ability.

Augments :

Irradiating Disarm - Mostly unchanged, confusion duration can be extended by landing multiple Radial Disarm hits. Utilize Decoys to more effectively achieve this effect.
