Squading up with friends not available and Invite to Orbiter crashing

There is an issue when trying to join friends or clanmates where the option to join session or invite is not available. You sometimes have to restart multiple for either player to see the option to invite. Also, there is a bug with the "INVITE TO ORBITER" when in a squad where your friend will seemingly join your ship only to then lose connection to the ship, the squad, and sometimes have to restart the game. Is there a fix on the way for this?
