Weird problems leading to unplayability

I dont really know how to describe my problem, but yesterday my game resolution went crazy for no reason while I was playing. I decided to fix the resolution and restart my game, but then all of the settings have reverted to default. (sound, vsync, etc.) Connecting and loading has been significantly worse and Im constantly experiencing lag spikes every few seconds, along with losing connection, making them almost unplayable. My game either freezes for a long period of time, or it will crash entirely when I tab in and out of it. This has never happened before and only started yesterday after the resolution of my game window just went crazy. I hope someone can get me a solution to this, I'd appreciate it. I did not screenshot any of the problems that occurred, forgive me for that.
