Undead Samurai/Ronin Warframe Idea: Oda Hachiman

I kind of realized that there is no Samurai Warframes (there’s Gara but her theme is more Glass) and I’ve been working on this idea for a bit. Depending on how people like it, I may start doing art for him. Think I have a general idea for the story and that he’s steered toward a vengeful spirit vibe. His story that I’m creating is linked to Ash’s (or if another ninja warframe every comes). This Unearthly Samurai wields a bow and Odachi made from Void energy. His abilities resemble the Way of the Bow and different sword stances.

Aesthetics: Hachiman represent a samurai while in his armor (with obvious warframe like style). His armor is worn out and seemingly leaks void energy giving him a unearthly appearance, while his colors grasp more of an under world feel (Red, Black, and gold). The void energy that he leaks could be fairly similar to Red Spider Lilies (maybe Wisteria?) emulating the dead part of him more. His even footing always makes him appear ready. His Ghost stance seems to be dressed in a hakama design with more cloth like textures. Instead of his regular helmet, he possibly has a cowl but has the same mask on.

Passive: In Oni Stance Hachiman carries his void tainted armor which increases his Armor and melee damage, however it reduces movement speed and Fire rate. In Ghost Stance, Hachiman rids of his void tainted armor which dreadfully decreases his armor but increases his Ranged Damage and Movement speed.

1st Ability-Change Stance: Hachiman has two stance which dictate his abilities. Odachi (Oni Stance) and Bow Stance (Ghost Stance). When he enters a new stance his passive will change along with powers. When Hachiman Changes Stance he sheds or summons his armor (shed when changing to Ghost, summons when changing from Ghost). When Hachiman leaves his armor, going to Ghost stance, his armor and sword stays in it's act and spot. When he switches back his previous action continues.

2nd Ability- Gedan style/Perfect form: With Gedan Style(Oni Stance) the player holds the power for as long as they like(as energy drain). When let go, Hachiman will deliver a powerful attack with slash damage however if he is attacked while in Gedan Style, the ability is used to it’s fullest. Hachiman will quickly move (nearly teleporting) towards the assailant (negating the damage from the attack) and deliver a quick, powerful blow of void damage.

Perfect form has Hachiman summon his long bow and start a powerful draw with it. The ability can be held, charging the shot until maxed (can be let go early but won’t be as devastating or deal Void damage). when fully charged, he releases the arrow which will penetrate through all enemies and deal massive void damage. These abilities are both very costly and Perfect Form leaves him vulnerable due to reduced movement speed.

Vengeful Blow/Spiteful Rain: when Hachiman enter vengeful blow, he enters Joden Stance (overhead) with his Odachi. This ability takes a few seconds to initiate in which opens Hachiman up to be attacked and take damage however he reduces a percentage of the total damage. When the countdown is done, Hachiman swings is Odachi down, delivering a devastating blow that can crack the earth itself. The Shock wave from the attack will deal void damage equal to how much he reduced during the initiation of the ability. The damage he inflicts with the sword will be x(a certain number) the amount of damage he’s taken with a lower base. He is easily capable of cleaving enemies in half his this attack.

With Spiteful Rain, Hachiman summons his long bow again and fires an void arrow upwards. A volley of arrows will continually rain down void arrows in an area, damaging enemies. This ability is not nearly as powerful as Hachiman’s other abilities however it is cheaper and the only one that can effectively be spammed.

Ultimate ability- Oni’s Spite/Vengeful Storm: When entering Oni’s Spite Hachiman cures himself of debuffs while healing himself to max health. Oni’s spite slowly drains energy. When Hachiman enters Oni’s Spite, he summons His Odachi and gains an melee attack speed, Melee damage, and Armor Buff. He still can use his Oni Stance abilities and His Melee attacks causes Shock waves around him that knock back enemies and damages them.

Vengeful Storm will have Hachiman Summon his exalted Long bow (which has low fire rate but tremendous damage) and 4 “spirits” made of void energy.  This ability also, slowly drains energy. These spirits work similarly to Mirage’s Hall of mirror ability however will also copy Hachiman’s Longbow Abilities (which will expend energy).

Note: Oni and Ghost are substitute names for his stances. Most likely they would be named after the Orokin equivalent of Demon and Ghost.
