Vaykor Sydon ability bugged

Hey DE, I love your game and have been supporting you since long ago, but your game has some bugs you glossed over when you changed melee. So basically the Vaykor Sydon relies on blocking bullets to activate its blind.... but it doesn't store (or even gain) charges when literally blocking thousands of bullets. I'll just be sitting there, manually holding the block button, while surrounded by heavy gunners but won't gain a single stack towards the blind. And on top of that the Steel Meridian syndicate meter that charges up doesn't even appear. Mind you, I have 0 standing with the faction, but I even tried taking it into a mission with just Melle equipped but it still was bugged. Idk what to do anymore and I'm extremely disappointed as I put good resources to get this weapon
