Chat won't update

So I am a clan leader and part of a big alliance so being able to use the chat is a pretty important part of warframe and it worked fine for as long as I've played the game until I got new internet which is way better than what I had before but now if I afk and leave my chat on clan or alliance the chat won't refresh and anyone who tries to message me will get the message that I'm offline and the only way to fix it is to goto region chat where it refreshes all my messages, it also does this alot when I go into missions and I can't see anything that anyone is saying when I run them so it kind of sucks and makes me run missions less because I'm afraid I'm going to miss something important
