Ash Or Volt?

Hello Everyone! I dunno witch one to chose, Volt or ASH? I hew the special helmets for both (got them from alert missions) and thats what makes it so hard for me to chose with one I should pick up.

at the moment I hew MAG and her special helmet( from alert mission to) and Nyx but I'm gonna sell Nyx and there is the problem, should I pick ASH or VOLT then? I am going to buy hunter pack so I will get Excalibur prime so witch one do you guys think I would need or should get?

They are very different playstyles. It depends on what you want from the frame. If for end game farming, neither one is ideal, though the Volt will have an easier time in Outer Terminus if solo than the Ash will, though both are competent. Neither can solo Xini. If it's just for clearing levels faster, I'd say the Volt, but the Ash (when specced and equipped for melee damage) will down bosses with greater ease.

Can you give us an idea of what you are looking for? They're both "mediocre" frames. They are fine, but not the god-mode of Frost, nor the craptasm of Trinity/Ember.

Neither can solo Xini.

all frames can solo xini with the right mods. some just have it easier.

OP mentioned you are going to get a founder pack, then i would recommend buying frame/weapon slots so you can have/try out all the frames/weapons you want. then you do not need to just pick a few. personally out of the two Ash/Volt i like Ash more, suits my playstyle better.

I have MAG and I will get Exc Prime and I will get trinity only if I will get her special helmet in an alert cuz i kind like it :3 so witch one is more needed do you think?

I like Volt because of his looks and abilities But same with ASH but his Ulti looks the same as Exc Prims ulti and Volts ulti is almoste like MAG's ulti, Both can clear up a room full of enemies (depends on what lvl the enemies are) but Volt looks more fun to play with and ASH looks like an combination of an Assassin and Ninja so I'm stuck >,< and like I sad I dont want to many frames but if it will keep on like this I will get them both :/

it is hard to tell someone what frames they should get, they might like other playstyles fames that you might not. if you only want a few frames and are planning to buy (platinum) then it can be hit and miss on what you might like, try watching videos/livestreams of different frames, might help you pick. if you don't mind working for the frames, i would suggest trying them all and then just keeping the ones you like.

trinity is extremely good, just happens also to be very boring to play. i mean, energy siphon, one power attack, ta-da you have energy enough for link plus energy siphon, and link is literally god mode. Repeat as necessary~

Mods can really gimp up warframes. So just pick which playstyle do you like more and just go for it because in the end when you get mods you can really kick some &amp;#&#33;.

You must have some mods far better than mine to do it with the Ember with any level of reliability. I have done it before, but only once.

he didn't use any aoe skills like bladestorm to finish it either. With low shields as well.

I have 499 shields with just 2 99%+ shields

I see we're just having a difference of opinion, because what's "low" for you is not low for me. Maybe it comes down to playstyle, and most certainly frame, but I know that once I got Chaos on the Nyx, I was able to solo it and thusly how I leveled. I had no reactor to put in it, so I never had much more than 200 shields. I have since supercharged it and don't bother putting shields above 350'ish (I'm putting "ish" to make certain it's not an exact number so you don't feel the need to come correct me if ever you found out it was 4 points more). When I first started taking my Loki to Xini, I felt far too tanky with 500 shields. What's the point of having something you won't use? It's generally not a good idea to try and face-tank the Infested swarms. I since replaced the extra tankage with melee damage and power efficiency. That made it even faster to solo.

I guess there must be a playstyle I'm not familiar with yet, something where you let them hit you and thus need a huge buffer to be successful (especially in Xini) but it strikes me as a bit dangerous. It's not unheard of to be knocked down and permanently staggered after, but... I suppose I need to go do more research on this new method...

when you have around 500-ish shields and out of sheer bad luck get surrounded by 5 regular ancients (not toxics) tell me if they wreck your 500-ish shields with their infinite knockdowns kay?

FYI I solo with Ash on xini no prob but for argument's sake having high shields is more of a protective luxuary where-as you know you can play more "aggressive" and 500 is too low when your put up against "potential" fk-overs especially getting rofl stomped by yellow MOAS in Pluto

You have a NYX, Nyx's chaos is like gaining free allies, Ash doesn't have any fancy skillset like that, of course you're GOING TO HAVE AN EASIER TIME SURVIVING WITH YOUR SKILLS LULUL. Why compare your Nyx to an Ash frame is beyond me. It's like trying to compare apples and oranges.

Btw if you want to talk low shield usage My Frost I use to solo xini when Im lazy has 250 shields ( I use ZERO shield mods or any defensive hp or armor mods) and 200 hp. All I stacked were 3 range mods and rest all melee dmg mods. Of course I'm going to be feeling safe using Frost with "250 low low shields", becuz he's a top tier mob solo warframe, just like Nyx.

Hell anyone would feel safe using an e-z mode Frame like Frost, Mag, Nyx etc etc "the crowd conrol/aoe specialists" in xini

Ash doesn't have a fancy skillset, he doesn't have a crowd control skill that Nyx is a specialist at, he doesn't have a 150 base armor like frost he needs more protection.

Btw, I used to have 1k+ shields and I felt like a god, I only recently lowered myself to 499 shields to add on more sprint mods (total 6) and 4 melee warframe dmg mods, back then half my nodes had shield capac for the "tank melee Ash" So I only left 2 nodes for shield capacs.

Lots of good your shields do there when they remove them ALL with a touch, along with your energy. 100 shields, 1k shields, makes no difference.
