Shroud is the ULTIMATE solo frame designed to not only become a tank but also deal high amounts of damage as well as having a strong sense of mobility. While he may seem difficult to some or only good for a specific mission type to others, rest assured Shroud can be a whole new level of powerful to the initiated.      

ACQUISITION: Shroud’s blueprint can be obtained through his quest “Stringless” while his parts can be obtained through the trials in the unique Orokin realm “The Sanctum Encyclodum” which is in summation a giant library for Warframes.

ABILITIES.

Passive: Whenever Shroud dies in combat one of his Marionettes will spawn above his corpse and he will take control of it. Killing enough enemies will allow Shroud to respawn by climbing and bursting out of its chest, all enemies within 10meters will be paralyzed with fear upon seeing this. Shroud also has a passive 10% life steal on all primary and secondary weapons.     

Ability 1 (Marionette): Shroud will summon one of his Marionettes while inactive and can place them on any floor-based surface. Shrouds base stats are multiplied by 1.0 / 2.0 / 3.0 for each Marionette placed down. A marker will appear on the map where each marionette was left.(Note: You can only place THREE marionettes on the map per mission, the marionettes can still be damaged while inactive). Costs 25 Energy.  

Ability 2 (Dark Possession): Shroud channels his essence into one of his marionettes within 100/125/150 meters possessing it and taking its form and gaining a whole new array of abilities. Shroud cannot retain this form however and can only remain in his marionette form for 30/35/40 seconds. (Note: Shrouds original body can STILL BE DAMAGED while possessing a marionette). Costs 50 Energy.

Ability 3 (Umbral Step): If Shroud targets any one of his marionettes within 100/125/150 meters he can channel his power to teleport directly to them, doing so will make a small shockwave knocking back all enemies within 1/3/5 meters and deal 150/200/250 true damage, the shockwave will activate upon reaching the marionette, umbral step will also make Shroud and the targeted marionette invincible for 2/4/6 seconds and will gain 10/15/20% attack speed/fire rate.(Note: the invincibility duration cannot be increased with duration mods.) Costs 25 Energy.

Ability 4 (The Choir): Shroud summons fourth all three of his marionettes creating three loyal Specters, each one armed with a spectral copy of one of the weapons from his arsenal. During this time Shrouds first and second abilities are replaced with the first and second abilities of his marionettes, whenever Shroud casts either of these abilities the three marionettes will activate them as well. The marionettes attract enemy attention as they follow Shroud and all BONUS stats and damage TOTAL for both shroud and his marionettes are multiplied by 1.0 / 2.0 / 3.0; the marionettes remain at Shrouds side indefinitely until they are killed or manually dispelled at any time by holding down the ability key. Costs 150 Energy.

Shroud Marionette Abilities.

Ability 1 (Umbral Strike): The possessed marionette will do a small lunge forward of 2/4/6 meters, a jagged cone of energy appears around its hand as it strikes forward and deals 250/300/350 damage. Costs 25 Energy. 

Ability 2 (Spectral Shell): The possessed marionette encases itself in an ectoplasmic shell with 100/200/300 plates, one plate will deflect 100% of the incoming enemy damage and status affects; while this ability is active the marionette is also able to phase through enemy units, recasting this ability will refresh the plate count. Costs 50 Energy. Spectral Shell is Shrouds subsumable ability.

Ability 3 (Trespass): The possessed marionette channels the essence of shroud to repossess any of the other marionettes on the map within 100/150/200 meters, refreshing the duration of dark possession while also activating the affects of umbral step creating a small shockwave knocking back all enemies within 1/3/5 meters and dealing 150/200/250 true damage upon reentering a new marionette and both of the marionettes invincible for 2/4/6 seconds and will gain 10/15/20% attack speed/fire rate. Costs 75 Energy.

Ability 4 (Revenir): Shrouds essence leaves its Marionettes form and returns to his host body, activating one of the effects of umbral step creating a small shockwave knocking back all enemies within 1/3/5 meters and dealing 150/200/250 true damage upon return to his host body. Costs 25 Energy.

 

SIGNATURE WEAPONS:  

The Lyzender.

The apex of Tenno weaponry, the Lyzender, this arm-cannon shoots quick and highly concentrated beams of soul energy and as such whenever an enemy dies from one of its blasts they leave behind a soul fragment, upon reloading the magazine all nearby soul fragments will fly towards the Lyzender replenishing the magazine. If the magazine is full than all soul fragments absorbed afterwards will add a bonus percent damage to the arm-cannon (mx is 2,000%). The Alternate fire of the Lyzender will fire a singular beam, if this beam comes in contact with terrain then lays a trail of fire, which can detonate and damage nearby enemies afterwards. When equipped with Shroud the magazine goes up to 48.

Ether Cleaver.     

Regarded as the “Big Daddy” of the ether weapons, the Ether cleaver is a heavy condensed scythe that can not only cleave the body but allegedly the very soul. Whenever this heavy scythe is swung a phantom strike will appear shortly after the first strike dealing the same amount of damage done the first time. Whenever equipped with shroud this weapon will have its heavy attack wind up reduced to 0.5 and faster animated speed.
