Melee block/forward block combos skipping the final swings when no firearm equipped

Every stance in the game for me skips the animation of Normal Block and Forward Block combos when when no primary or secondary weapon equipped. Let's use Final Harbinger as an example.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. [Arsenal] Equip a primary/secondary and a Sword-and-Shield weapon with max ranked Final Harbinger.
  2. [Mission] Hold Melee Block bind while spamming the Quick Melee bind.
    1. (normal block combo) Note the Systemic Shred's final shield bash animation.
    2. (forward block combo) Note the Dark Light's final 360 spin animation.
  3. Hold weapon swap key to enter exclusive melee mod OR unequip both primary and secondary via Arsenal.
  4. Hold Melee Block bind while spamming the Quick Melee bind.
    1. Normal block combo is now missing it's shield bash.
    2. Forward block combo is now missing it's spin attack. This one is especially obvious, since animation snaps rather jarringly.
    3. Other combos are not affected.

Blind Justice is another great example as it's forward block combo gets cut down to chainable anime-dashes only. It's kinda fun.

Tested on PC with 100% replicability both on mission and in Simu.

  • We reverted back to its original functionality where melee could toggle into blocking mode when ‘Hold to Aim Weapon’ was disabled. 

 

Well... they said it was fixed...in 31.6.4...but..........
